I had to return a pair of shoes I purchased my dad for a smaller size .... i would definitely order a size down, maybe even 2. However, the level of care and service we were provided by Maddie during the exchange was TOP KNOTCH, he ended up needing a few different sizes to find the exact fit and she went above to make sure he left in shoes that fit 😀 thanks Maddie and I definitely recommend LL Bean

03.27.21 Exchanged some boots today that I bought via the catalog around Christmas. I thought it may be easier to check out the selection in person, hands on so to speak. So glad I went to the store. I was greeted at the front door and set up with someone to take care of the exchange, and help me find what I was looking for, properly sized, etc. And happened to catch a great sale on top of it all.Sorry it took me so long to check out the store. Will definitely return. Staff was super helpful!!

Watch what you pay at register. I purchased boots the displayed one price and they rang up for $20 more. Took 20 minutes to correct. Staff was wonderful and very apologetic. Not there fault the computer are wrong.

Great selection of men’s clothes but the women’s section is lacking. The staff is very nice and efficient. I like being able to browse the gadgets and other gift items. I mostly order online and return to the store if I need to. Returns in store are fast and easy.

Witnessed the manager harass and throw out a woman who is exempt from the mask mandate today. She was literally carrying her oxygen supply in her backpack, so there was no question that she truly had a health condition that prevents her from wearing a mask. Im so sickened by that managers actions and behavior, and the way she gossiped and mocked the lady after she left was completely uncalled for and juvenile. I will no longer be shopping here. Such a shame

Me and my Mom love L.L. Bean and visited this store. Lots to choose from, friendly staff, and good prices. Only issue - hard to find. Even when you have the directions it is well hidden. So likely will not be visiting it again just for the problems of getting there.

I visit the location in the Short Pump mall quite frequently, mostly putting around the camping gear and clothing to kill time on a weekend afternoon or evening. The atmosphere is quaint, warm, and welcome, and Ive always had pleasant, friendly exchanges with the staff. This is a cool place to wander around and look over some gear. Theyve got packs, pants, shoes, socks, fishing gear, knives, sunglasses...a whole bevy of items to get you outdoors. Walk in and give them a whirl.

First time in the LL Bean store and it was great !

I am here now to purchase a pair of boots. I asked for assistance with spiral rolling the laces and was rudely told “YouTube” it. May seem simple but customer service goes a long way. I will never shop here again. You just lost the sale of two pair of boots and a pull-over.

20% coupon YES20 on Facebook disappeared when I got to retail store in Short Pump..associates disavowed any knowledge😔 I bought the item anyway..maybe that was the whole point! Very disappointing LL Bean!However I am very happy to report that LL Bean contacted me today and will credit me for the coupon! All I had to do was email them the receipt! Awesome customer service! Great selection of clothes and gear! I always check the clearance section to see what’s the best deal. I’m rating 3 stars because every time I go in there, the staff pushes the company credit card and will not drop it when I ask for help.

Absolutely fantastic store and product line. For the most part you can still get quality construction from LL Bean, while so many others have gone to cheap fabrics and less than stellar construction. I am wearing a pullover right now that is excellent, and plan top go back and get another.Customer service has been to notch too. This particular store is located at the Short Pump Ton Center mall in which is at 11800 W Broad Street in Short Pump.... Glen Allen... even though the address says Richmond, VA .Great place to shop.

Its LL Bean but nothing like other LL Bean stores that Ive shopped.While the selection is limited, theres more to choose from for men than women. The shoe and luggage collection is very limited.The staff are friendly and willing to help you order online if its not in the store.This location is great for going in to try on items for sizing or to return an online order.This store didnt seem to be well planned although we knew for almost a year that it was coming. A separate location down the street could have been larger with more items.Your rep, Cole, is awful. How can you tell a customer what size shoe they need when they already have boots from here in the same size? Not good customer service at all. Not only did Cole argue back and forth with me about the shoe that was a conversation between the customer and I, but he wont on to talk about me to the customer. I was across from them and read his lips. This doesnt make for a good customer experience.

This company practices what they preach! The employees all have experiences with the outdoors and love to hear customers stories of their adventures! The quality of all of their products cant be beat. I have bought equipment, shoes, clothing and gifts for my grandkids and have never had a single issue. The store is easy to navigate and staff is very helpful. They often have nice sales days and I use those times to stock up on some of the things I wear a lot (like jeans).

The store is poorly laid out. It took me about 15 minutes to find some t shirts. I couldnt find anyone who worked there working the floor. Perhaps I am spoiled being used to New England LL Bean locations, but this one seems understaffed and poorly managed. The cashier didnt ask me if I had Bean Bucks as other locations have, so we had to backtrack to redeem my rewards. She was very rude and snippy with me as well. Generally if you have the time, order online instead of heading into this location. Stores like this, poorly organized and poorly managed, are why retail is dying and everyone is going online... If your retail location doesnt provide a value add there is no reason for it to exist.

Today was my second trip to the Richmond, Va. store at Short Pump Town Center. I am sorry to say that this experience was no more productive than my first visit. I was greeted by a female sales associate and asked if I needed any assistance. I told her I was shopping for some Double L shorts and gave her my size and color preference. She stated that they were out of my choice, but would go back and check for any in their stockroom. I continued to shop around and never saw her leave the sales floor, nor tell me if they were in stock or not. This experience was nearly identical to my first visit last fall, except it was a different item and sales associate. I will continue to shop via the internet and have my items sent to my home as my time is limited and to shop your store is a planned trip.
