I’ve taken my children here twice and we absolutely love it. My daughter and I love specialty chocolate. This store did not disappoint. They also had the gourmet candy apples we had become accustomed to in Virginia Beach. It made me so happy to find those and some amazing other treats! My youngest is also able to find things he likes which is wonderful. He doesn’t like all the same stuff as his sister and I. I don’t think I will be waiting long to go back!

If u want to see hundreds of different types of chocolates, truffles, candies, just everything sweet & sinful 😋🥰 then you HAVE to check out For the Love of Chocolate. You wont know where to start or stop but youll figure it out somehow along the way, and leave with a bag or 2 of goodies.$$

This is the best place for candy I’ve been to. I have been going for years. This is artisan chocolate. The turtles (cashew fav) are worth the trip. But so May delicious items to choose from in the case.Also don’t miss out on the bulk chocolate for baking. Talk about kicking up brownies and cookies at home.Up the level and richness of hot chocolate you make at home. Oh and grab a blonde for the ride home.I get lost in here sometimes.

They stock more than just chocolates: French Burnt Peanuts, Boston Baked Beans, and Maple Nut Goodies by the scoopful! Those are old fashioned and hard to find, but theyve got em! And marzipan to die for! At Christmas I sometimes visit just to breathe the amazing aroma of sweet, sugary bliss. This is where I get my fix year round. Great, friendly staff, and a perfect location. A Richmond gem!

This place has a knowledgeable staff that is on point! This place is a candy lovers dream!!! The colors, smells, and laughter are great for the soul. Their sugar-free selection is the main reason I come. Cant say enough great things about this place....JUST GO!!!

This little treat is found in the heart of Carytown and a great stop for those with a sweet tooth. The selection of chocolates and candies range from local artisans to international chocolatiers and will not disappoint. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. Even if you don’t plan on indulging, it’s worth a visit while strolling through the streets.

The smell of chocolate as you enter the store is out of this world, and the variety of candy from around the world is amazing. Super friendly staff are there to help. We only visit the Richmond area once or twice a year, but we always make a point of stopping at For the Love of Chocolate when were in the area. Highly recommend stopping by if you get the chance.

I visited here on Valentine’s Day to pick up a gift for my mother. This is such a lovely store and there is parking right in front. I purchased a small box of various freshly baked brownies and she loved them. The sales associate was friendly and upbeat. She offered me tissue paper for the wrapping. Mom and I love tissue paper, so this was a nice bonus and it proved to be a splendid gift. It was a busy store, but service was swift, helpful, and kind.

Quaint, plentiful candy store if youre in the area. The truffles are the best part; you could get one of each if you wanted to. So far, the red velvet caramels have my heart. Each truffle has textures that differ from the one before it! Not to mention the wide selection of organized snacks from around the globe. 10/10 would come back again from out of town!

Really like this place! Only place I know of in town where you can find Cadbury items (Dairy Milk and Flakes). Unfortunately they sell out of items rather fast and you sometimes have trouble getting through to someone on the phone- but definitely worth a visit!

This place is torture... So many great sweets, its agonizing to choose what to get. Incredible variety. We always stop by when visiting RVA.

Chocolates, gummies, hard candy, and foreign favorites like nougat and marzipan. They even carry especially exotic sweets like meal worms, scorpions, and crickets! Youll always find something new and delicious to try - the question is really just how adventurous you want to be!

If youve never been here go at least once. They have an amazing selection of international chocolates and candies but the real reason to go is for the truffles. They have a huge selection of dark, milk, and white chocolate that is always changing.

I went in a few days ago to get some boxes made for Valentine’s Day. Was helped by a woman named Allysa from her name tag. She was very patient and helped me with great suggestions, since I was a little lost on what to choose with so many appealing choices! The boxes came out beautifully, and I’m very excited to give them for the holiday.10/10 service. I’m excited to come back!

A huge thanks to Elizabeth and her team of chocolatiers for the lovely baskets they created for me. In recognition of Memorial Day and their military service, two veterans at Sitter & Barfoot received them.Unfortunately, because of Covid I was unable to deliver them in-person. Yet, know their shock and surprise were priceless. Please know that your wide array of candies and decorative baskets were greatly appreciated.

A great place for all chocolate lovers. They have a few vegan options, some sugar free, all sorts of different countries, some weird things, some more typical. My favorite part is the walls of per pound candy. I love espresso beans and they have more flavor options than I’ve ever seen before. I need to get more soon. They’re so good.

They sell outdated food. Purchased a $25 bar of chocolate that expired 2 days later and another item that expired a year previously in 2020. The owner said that is common practice. They WILL sell expired food and had no apology. Don’t spend your money here.

Love this place, best chocolates and huge variety!

I love their selection but today I received some very short and rude service. I usually don’t leave reviews however today was just not their usual standard of efficiency and politeness . The woman who was in there heavier set with long brown hair was very short with me and her tone seemed like I was bothering her... when I’m a paying customer... I understand everyone has bad days however that’s not how you speak to people. On top of which not a single person spoke when I came in and people were standing behind the counter just talking and I had to ask twice for help.... not... to happy with that... not sure if this place has an issue with black customers but I won’t be back here for a while...

Small and friendly shop. You can pick up a pre-boxed mix (they simply give you one of every flavor) or make your own in store if you have favorites. A box of these are one of my classic go-to gifts. Dont know what to get for someone? A box of tasty chocolate with interesting but delicious flavors is a fun thing to gift. Who doesnt love great chocolate?

I have been here on a few separate occasions (mainly for chocolate truffles!). Every time I have received courteous customer service which is amazing! They were even nice enough to let me use a sticky note and sanitized pen (which other stores sometimes wont let you use theirs) to help me keep track of what I wanted. Plus their wide selection is worth mentioning as well. Very knowledgeable as well when it came to my questions. I definitely can recommend them as a must visit for chocolate lovers in Richmond.

My boss luvs black licorice and it has become a Christmas tradition to give him licorice every year. For the Love of Chocolate has a large selection of licorice so I fill up a gift bag and go. He loves the variety.

A fun chocolate shop with aisles divided up by country. Its great if you have a friend from away that misses chocolates they used to find back home. Chances are youll find something that floods them with nostalgia and happiness.

This place is awesome for some many reasons. Everyone is friendly and my love of chocolate is always satisfied when I visit. I work in the area and always spend my tips in there before I go home. Since the closure and other life issues have occurred I hadnt been in awhile. Had my son take me and we both were treated very well. Though everyone is wearing masks you can see those cheeks heightened and hear the smile in their voices. Highly recommend!!

Its a lovely store and my 3 year old and 6 year old love going in a looking around. Its a little crowded but its too be expected at Christmas. Lol. If you need almost ANY KIND of candy, THIS place is the place to go.

Will never go in there again. Asked if my 6 yr old could use the restroom and she said they didnt have restrooms. I asked where she pees and she said......... we dont have PUBLIC restrooms. What kind of people wont let a 6 yr old who has to pee go relieve himself? I would not go back there if it was the only candy shop in Richmond, and i wish no one else would, either.

I love this store so much!! Great selection, usually no checkout lines, and good prices considering some of their stuff is imported. Only complaint is that it is pretty cramped during busy times which makes it effectively impossible to socially distance.

Great shop for allergen-friendly candy (plus all kinds of pretty, old school, and foreign goodies). The after-season sales are excellent, and even in busy times (I went on Valentines Day morning) customer service is kind, efficient, andattentive. I went after Easter and the proprietor offered a free chocolate bunny to get through the quarantine!

This place is absolutely fabulous. For one, they are the only place I can find high-quality caramels, and they carry an amazing selection.I happened to get one package of bourbon caramels for half price, a real treat. When the employee found out that I had purchased all of the types of 1 brand of caramel except one (an oversight), he gave me a sample of that one. This was unexpected, and another example of the great customer service I have had in the many years that Ive been shopping there.If youve never been there, youve got to try it.

This place is so cool that it takes a while to adjust. At first, I was sure I must be dreaming. They have chocolate from around the world. It is pretty tight in there, so I dont think Id ever attempt a stroller. Give yourself time to browse. We have had such fun looking and experiencing chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate! ;)

Wonderful selection of vegan chocolates, chocolates for people with allergies, chocolates from all around the world...you name it. There are always really cute selections around the different holidays and tons of special truffles all year round. Theres a big selection of candies (not chocolate) if youre into that sort of thing. People say its over priced but think of what the taxes must be on this place. It makes sense. I Highly recommend it.

Im a chocolate lover and I have to say this place had so many different options for chocolate lovers. There is also a great selection of candy, candy apples, gourmet popcorn and more. Very impressed with the young man who waited on us, he really knew his chocolates! I went in there for something specific and he reeled off exactly what met our criteria. The friend whose birthday it was for really appreciated those truffles! Will be back!

Has my home country chocolate on display here, and my friend picked up some very tasty treats from his. They have German, and British chocolates here, and they’re very tasty. :)

The Best Chocolate Store in the State for over the last 20 yrs. We know( and most of the customers know) James the owner personally, I often say I dont spend a lot of money but I come in often. Its that good. Now my kids take their kids.
