Cute little place! Really enjoyed the morning bun I ordered. Would definitely stop in again when Im in the neighborhood.

Ive known Ru for a few years and Pulp Fiction Lakeside is a perfect personification of her spirit. The food is inspired from her travels and love of people. The Catalonian, a Spanish inspired bagel creation, was a perfect start to my day today. If you are in or around Lakeside, stop in and enjoy this delightful addition to the neighborhood.

Cute spot! Not the easiest to get to from dumbarton or going south on lakeside ave and there isnt much inside seating (no patio) as well as limited parking, but quick service and my latte/bagel with lemon dill smear was wonderful! Will definitely be back for quick pit stops in the future :) look forward to watching this spot grow.

Great local place that has an awesome and creative variety of drinks. Not to mention they have MULTIPLE non-dairy milk alternatives and gluten-free and vegan snacks. Always find myself ordering The Lakeside on a rainy day to perk me up.

Fantastic bagels and lox! I wanted to eat it in my car, but realized that it was so packed with goodness that I would have to take it home and get a plate. It was worth the wait! Fresh, creamy, delicious. My Baristas surprise was just what I wanted.

This place is small and cozy. Coffee was delicious. My friends ordered bagels which were super fresh. Very busy which is great! I hope this place sticks around. The only thing that bummed me out was no sugar-free flavor options. They were super accommodating though as they offered honey and agave. I will definitely be back.

The best little coffee and smoothie place around. Super friendly folks work here and make fantastic coffees, smoothies, and juices, and bring in really great pastries from local bakers. My favorite is a cappuccino and a morning bun, but you cant beat their bagels and schmears anywhere in Richmond. Great food truck too! So glad they came to lakeside.

Friendly service, there was a line tho. German Bagle - sauerkraut, ham, melted cheese - delicious! Good coffee.

Delicious smoothies. The Legacy is my new favorite smoothie. Lots of gluten-free options. While the shop is small in size it is very bright and welcoming. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive and clearly having fun working together.

Love love love this little spot! Its a tiny gem and Im so excited to become a frequent customer. I ordered a whole wheat everything bagel with homemade sun-dried tomato schmear and a small legacy smoothie. Both were delicious. Staff was super friendly. Highly recommended.

I dont like writing bad reviews, but I had heard great things about Pulp. Unfortunately my cold brew was warm (?) and my bagel order was wrong. It didnt help that I didnt get the warmest welcome when I went to the door. I live in Lakeside, so I was hoping for a new normal spot for me. As of right now Im not convinced its worth the hype.

I love the smoothies here. Especially the Bitsy Circle. The bagels are great. Last time I went I wasn’t that hungry so got a smoothie and an empower bar. It was really good! I’m not a coffee drinker but people rave about Ru’s Brew. It’s a great place for breakfast or lunch and there are plenty of options if you are on a restricted diet (for medical or moral reasons).It’s in the old Early Bird spot. It’s nice to see something in that space.

When you first enter youre impressed with the simplicity of the design, an expression of honesty. The menu is concise, but there is something for everyone. No one should leave disappointed, as they always present you with a smile.

Tried it for the first time today and was really impressed. The lady at the counter was very friendly and recommended their house made cherry syrup for my late and it was delightful. Fast friendly service and good coffee makes this a local spot I will frequent.

So much charm and character, fantastic people, excellent coffee. Space is clean and pleasant to look at. Would be a great place to meet another person you might share a table with.

The most excellent place to grab a quick bagel and lox and they have a overnight oats dish that is just to die Forge very refreshing first thing in the morning. Ruth is a wonderful hostess you should absolutely try it

Terrific new cafe that recently opened and has been a popular addition to the Lakeside community. The Bearclaw smoothie is to die for as are the rest of her baked goods some of which come from NY. The owner, Ru, takes so much pride in her business, the products she sells, and her customers. Her story is such an inspiration, and Im always willing to make the 15 minute drive across town to give her my business and everyone else should too!!!

Small place, delicious smoothies. A little hard to miss when driving down lakeside. Seems like they might have a rotating list of specialty smoothies. Excellent use of fruits, spices and other flavors.

This is such a welcome addition to the neighborhood! The coffee is amazing and the staff is always super friendly. I used to get Starbucks on the way to the office, but after becoming a regular at Pulp Fiction, my go-to drink from Starbucks tastes like a cup of sugar and cheap Chai syrup! The bagels are also quality and they are very accommodating with the toppings if you have any food allergies.This place is TINY and there are usually only two employees in there. Which means you may touch elbows with other customers and have a little wait during the morning rush. But, it is very much worth leaving the house five minutes earlier for this delicious cup of coffee!

Really wanted to love this place since it is around the corner from me. But unfortunately, I found it unfriendly with overpriced ( but mediocre) coffee. Nothing spectacular at all. Limited menu.

Great place to get a hand crafted coffee and a snack. They dont do high volume, its a tiny little hole in the wall, but the wait was worthwhile.

Very trendy and unique coffee & smoothy store. They close early so if you want something you have to get there early in the day.

Had a seasonal smoothie, gf cookie and gf coffee cake. Food was super good and I loved that when you looked around, everyone was talking with each other instead of on their phones. This is actual community.

So Ive been here a couple times now. Good food, delicious smoothies, and good brew. BUT DONT GET A SPECIALTYEXPRESSO DRINK!!!Just ordered a complete waste of money disapointment of a carmel machioto.#1 the man on expresso machine was insanely slow. Like watching paint peel.#2 expresso shots poured and SAT before he even started the milk. (Huge no no)#3 when I FINALLY got my order (10min after my bfs smoothie) it wasnt even hot. :( barely luke warm like it had been sitting out
