My fiancé and I had a really exceptional experience with this jeweler. Mike guided us through the process of picking out a ring in a way that was both educational and entertaining. He encouraged options that made sense for our lifestyle, budget and comfort. A week later I left with a custom ring that I think is absolutely perfect.

He did a good job replacing some watch batteries and seemed very friendly. Went back later to get a quote on some rings I had. While there I asked about budget rings around $20-$30. I was laughed at and told “if you’re looking for a ring that price you’re in the wrong store buddy.” He literally had a batch of older/antique rings in the $20-$50 range. When I pointed those out he realized I wasn’t looking to drop $100 minimum he lost all interest in me as a customer.He replaces watch batteries well and is friendly - so long as you’re dropping $100 minimum.

Had a great experience with Mike for a quick resizing, increase by 2 sizes, we needed a few days before our wedding. Mike was able to get everything completed ahead of schedule and for a great result with the resizing. We were so happy with the results and will definitely bring our future jewelry needs to Mike. You will get a great experience and end result with the services that Mike provides.

Working with Mike was an amazing experience! I first went to Richmond Jewelers to get my engagement ring sized down, and he was able to fit it perfectly to my finger, and get me my ring back so quickly. I then went back with my fiance to get a custom wedding band made. Mike is so experienced and knowledgeable and helped us make the perfect ring from scratch. I brought in my grandmothers old bangle bracelets to be turned into rings. The results are amazing! I love my rings and they fit perfectly! They were also done very timely, I was told 1-2 weeks and they were done in about 5 days. Highly recommend!

Wandering around Carytown with my then girlfriend(now my wife), I first found Mike in his shop a few months after he first opened his business some years ago. Ever since hes given my wife and I, as well as every engaged couple we tell, above excellent service. We have sent 7-8 separate families his way in the past 6 years and hes always delivered on our high praise. I never leave reviews but I had to after coming by! I forget the name of the owner but he was so kind and knowledgeable. He helped me with my watchband. He was very informative- it was clear he was passionate about what he does. He was also very helpful to the person before me. I will definitely be back. I recently bought an engagement ring from Mike and the experience was absolutely phenomenal. Went to multiple places in Richmond and Mike was the best, hands down.

I’ve had watches and 2 rings fixed here and the work was excellent. My first ring needed a new stone and I didn’t even know it could be done but Mike found a matching stone right away and cleaned and fixed the ring shape as well which I wasn’t even expecting but was such a nice surprise! My second ring needed resizing and I can’t wait to pick it up.

I cannot say enough nice things about this business. Mike was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I brought my engagement ring in to be resized and got it back much quicker than anticipated. The ring is from the 1930s/1940s and hadnt been cleaned in a very long time but when I got it back, it looked brand new! He also showed us some wedding bands that would pair nicely with my ring. I would highly recommend his services to anyone in need of jewelry or jewelry repair.

Great store - prices are fair but the customer service is incredible. I went to Mikes shop to purchase my wedding band. Mike has the customer in his best interest and actually talked me into a less expensive ring that was right for me. When my original band was delayed at the manufacturer, Mike handmade a replacement just to make sure I had something on my wedding day. Luckily the original came in on time and Mike overnighted it to us just in time for the big day. Hard to imagine you can find this level of service anywhere else. Thanks again, Mike!

I went to Mike for a battery for my Tag and to have my fiances engagement ring enlarged. Id been given times of 4 days for the watch and 2 weeks for the ring. Mike took 10 minutes for the watch and the ring was ready the next morning. Mikes winning personality and genuine caring and artistry make him the best jeweler in Richmond.

I went all over the RVA area last summer in search of the perfect engagement ring, and after visiting 10+ locations, it was clear that Mikes shop in Carytown was the superior option. I knew absolutely NOTHING about jewelry, and Mike was able to walk me through a ton of options while also explaining everything so that it made sense to a newbie like me. In a very short amount of time, Mike had taken the old, tarnished engagement ring my grandfather had given me and re-purposed the diamond into a custom setting thats absolutely gorgeous. Everyone compliments my fiancee on her ring, and I can see the sense of pride that she has in the craftsmanship and beauty shes wearing on her finger. Thats another point--hes a real craftsman and wears the apron to prove it! All of the other jewelers in town wear business suits, but not Mike! Hes hands-on and actively works on your jewelry, doesnt just outsource, send it away, or have someone else do it. Theres no comparison! Im actually headed out right now to visit him on a consultation for some wedding bands. Mike never steered me wrong, hes super friendly, honest, and does awesome work. He got it back to me in 2 days, even though the least of the problems was that it hadnt been cleaned in 30 years. He restored and cleaned the rings until the whole set looked perfect!
