Visited this place for the first time last weekend.. we had chicken Kebab and chicken samosa combo for lunch and baklava’s .. the person who took the order patiently explained the food items they have and helped with the order.. Both chicken samosa and kebab were tasty.. Will come back to try other items.. :)

This is hands down the very best Mediterranean food I have eaten anywhere in Virginia. I will beat down whomever disagrees 😜! I have not tasted Kibe prepared so close to my moms that it brought tears to my eyes. Everything was freshly made and delectable. The beauty of eating many of their dishes, is that they are not bad for you. Were so addicted to the food that I have given up tacos for a few days while I nom nom Mediterranean/middle eastern cuisine. Dont sleep on the Med Bakery! I regret not going sooner!

This place is so charming! It is filled with every sort of Arab food. Desserts, drinks, snacks, and so much more. I came here only twice but its already my personal favorite store. The customer service is great and even if its busy they still handle it so well. The desserts they offer at deli is mouth-watering!! I tried the cashew sweet and it was so good! If you love Arab food, or just want to explore another culture, definitely visit this place, it wouldnt be your last visit 😉

They have delicious pastries and a good variety of grocery items including nougats which I love. I bought some fresh pastries and 2 baked items stuffed with meats. They’re great but I was charged 2 extra items. The woman might have made a simple error.

I get my middle eastern ingredients here and only here. They have fantastic grape leaves in the deli that are my favorite. Things are always fresh and of high quality. The hot food is so good it sells out quickly, but that means you can count on it being fresh and not sitting under heat lamps looking sad. Thank you for sharing your talents and culture!

Excellent, authentic food for a reasonable price. The market has items you wont find in a regular grocery store that can really add to a meal. Ive picked up food to go and have also used them for large parties. Ive never been disappointed.

We do here for speciality foods and ingredients. Prices are great and the inventory is pretty extensive. The hot food deli had some delicious selections, and we love the seasoned pita chips.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent as well.

They have some good food options at the front of their bakery/ deli. From triangle shaped patties filled with cheese, meat or veggies, to rice, shish kabobs, pizzas and more.Decided to get a veggie covered pizza just as it came out. Veggie pizza had a generous amount of veggies on it and great tasting cheese. It was surprisingly tasty.I also like their selection of sweets in the deli. They have this tasty chocolate covered jelly candy that is yummy. It’s called ‘elit dark chocolate covered sour cherry visne.’If you want to try a Mediterranean deli that has a pretty nice selection of prepared food for takeout, to snacks, juice, soda and dry goods— this place is worth checking out.

This bakery and deli has some of the best food in Richmond. Every time that I go the service and food are excellent! I reccomend this bakery to everyone!

I love this amazing place. Have enjoyed shopping there for years. Delicious prepared food plus spices and dried beans, pita bread, delicious pita chips, dates, tahini, I could go on and on. Great service. Pick up some things there for a lovely picnic and youll find yourself there regularly too😊

Ordered a variety of foods for a 100 guest event this past week... people spent the whole night raving about everything! ... not to mention the service was impeccable, they double and triple checked my order before I left, and... well... everyone is just SO NICE!

This used to be a 4 to 5 star place for me. Shawarmas were always consistently good and service was always great.However, in my last visit, my wife placed an order over the phone and there was some major miscommunication. My wife simply wanted a single entree of chicken kabobs with rice. When my wife called in, she said she wanted an entree of chicken kabobs with rice. The employee asked, how many kabobs? My wife specifically stated that she wanted food for one person, but that didnt seem to register with the employee. My wife didnt understand why the employee was asking how many kabobs she wanted, so she said, 6 kabobs, I guess, but for just one person. Then the employee asked how much rice she wanted, and my wife said enough for one person.When I went to pick up the food, I found a tray of 7 skewer kabobs and just a handful of rice. Now, my wife definitely misunderstood the question when asked how many kabobs she wanted; however, she was very clear several times that she only wanted 1 entree, with only enough food for 1 person. Why did the employee even ask how many kabobs she wanted? 1 entree should mean that there should be a standard number of kabobs with a standard amount of rice for that dish. Secondly, why didnt the employee try to make sense of the order itself? 7 skewer kabobs and a handful of rice? She shouldve clarified the order. Instead, I go there and am charged $32 for so much food. When I tried to tell them its too much, the same employee from the phone simply said, well weve already cooked it.This clearly shows that this employee has zero understanding of customer service and how to word her questions properly. Yes, my wife misunderstood a question and made a mistake, but the employee shouldve had the competency to understand how to take an order properly.I wouldve given this place at least 3 stars, but after all that, and paying $32, the chicken kabobs themselves were incredibly dry. Neither my wife nor I could really eat them because of how dry they were.

Was driving by and decided to check it out. The beef & feta and the chicken sankopita was really delicious. They had a good blend of food and grocery items. They didnt have a ton of fresh meat options but they were pretty busy so I think they probably just sold out. Mostly Mediterranean/Arab groceries :)

Wow. This place is absurd. So good!!! Got hummus, feta, tzatziki, mixed baked goods and HOMEMADE pita chips (must try). All were out of this world. Owner very friendly - told me his family started the grocery 40 years ago and brought pita to richmond. What a gem!

I just picked up some of the best eggplant and tomatoes dish I have ever eaten. It was just outstanding. I also got a chicken pie which was also fantastic, Mediterranean Cous cous and of course no meal it complete without a piece of walnut Baklava. Can’t wait to go back and get some Falafel.

My family has been coming here for years. They have the best fresh meat and Jamil and his son always take care of us.

The fatayer here are delicious, and they sell them frozen so you can take them home, pop them in the microwave and have one anytime! Their selection of breads, desserts, sweets, meats and cheeses is also great as well as the fresh hummus and tabouleh. I stop in every time Im in the area and wish I lived closer!

Great store, huge variety of Mediterranean and middle eastern products, lots of flats breads pitas grains and spices that are hard to find, but the real star here is the hot food, they have these huge samosas that are really like sandwiches that are so well seasoned and delicious. The rice dishes are excellent, and the deli items are amazing, tabbouleh, baba ganoush, and hummus. Dont forget to pick up some of the baklava and pastries its totally worth it.

We love Mediterranean Bakery! They have hot food, homemade desserts and Middle Eastern groceries that can be hard to find elsewhere.

This is place has a great selection of middle eastern / mediterranean groceries and yummy hot deli items. We regularly purchase tahini, tea, yogurt and their made in house pitas.

You can find pretty much everything you need for a Mediterranean cook. Halal meats with good quality plus a lot of delicious foods to buy. Their great behavior with customers is so delightful. The staff are very helpful!

First time ever going to a bakery of this sort. The workers were very kind and explained the different items and answered all of my questions while being very patient. The food was amazing. Definitely recommend for anyone to try!

The deli is an incredible place run by incredible people. If you want Mediterranean food this is an excellent place to go. They have some of the best hummus that Ive ever tasted, and that includes my own grandmother was from Damascus. Theyre always friendly, and have an excellent selection of halal meats and vegetables that you cant find anywhere else that are integral to making Arab dishes. Stop by for lunch or stock up on everything you need to make your house a home.

This Mediterranean Deli has a large variety of homemade goods, as well as a well stocked store area. They have a wonderful bakery that brings two types of the Mediterranean cuisine- Baklava to their front and center (pistachio and walnuts!) They provide delightful authentic foods to the surrounding Regency area, and have been around for as long as I can remember.

First time trying their lentil veggie soup and gyro today and I have to say not only is the food unbelievably authentic and delicious but just being in there I was treated so warmly. They were busy but still didnt rush me as well as finding out Id never been there I was given a cashew finger (SO GOOD) as a treat while waiting on my food. Such nice people, such good food. ....I cant praise them enough! Also their market is packed with goodies, I was kept company by an older lady shopping and explaining to me how much she loved their produce and what each vegetable is, I loved it. Awesome experience!

I love this place! It’s a regular stop in my weekly routine. The grocery selections are numerous and prepared foods always delicious. Because the owners and staff are friendly, it feels like a neighborhood market!

This awesome little store has the best price on dates and tahini that Ive seen, and its the only place that carries barberries that I can find. The cashier was amazingly nice as well. Thanks a lot!

Food is delicious, & they have takeout. Being a semi-novice on Mediterranean cuisine, I had quite a lot of questions. The owner, Jamil, & his assistants answered them all. There is a comfort facility which I did not visit so I cannot attest to its cleanliness. I will certainly be a repeat customer.

I love the people at Mediterranean bakery. If you want to get a true taste of middle Eastern food go there. Your tongue will taste seasonings you never even thought of.

Shawerma was reheated (not fresh) but tasted O.K. the backed pies were also o.k. grocery variety was reasonable.

Was awesome. Great food. Great service. Nothing else like it in Richmond. A necessity, fills a need for quality foods found no where else.

I never get tired of the food here, and the staff is unfailingly sweet. I invariably buy more than I intended, but who can be upset about and extra piece of the best baklava in Richmond or a chunk of creamy imported feta? Better still, their hours serve me, a night nurse, incredibly well if I need a quick breakfast or lunch for work in the evening.

Wonderful food. Wonderful owners. I have been going to this place since they were in Horsepen Rd. Now that they are on Quioccasin, it is even more convenient and, I swear, the food is fantastic.

Chicken kabobs were delicious, so was the spinach and cheese pastry! An older gentleman was so helpful in showing me different spices and seasonings I was looking for. I will return!

We are now getting rotisserie chicken from here at least once a week and it’s delicious (tip: call to order ahead, specify level of spiciness, and skin on or off). It goes especially well with their mujederah. I’m a chef and very particular about the flavor and preparation of food when I eat out. The store is very clean and I feel safe eating from their kitchen and the flavors are on point. We also shop there often and enjoy a diverse selection of imported hard-to-find specialties. The staff is also friendly, personable and efficient. I would highly recommend visiting this neighborhood spot.

Even if this place werent close to my work and home, I would make the drive often. I eat here once a week. I love the prepared foods and bakery items. The staff are always nice even though its very busy at lunch. Great spot and fortunately its not downtown, so you still have the chance to get in the door mid-day.

Food was great! Ive never had Mediterranean food before and it was great! The beef & feta pies were off the chart! The kids like the hummus so much we bought a container to go home. Highly recommended the Baklava it was a great way to finish the meal. The kids are already asking to go there again 😊

A great family-owned place with affordable yet delicious prepared food and a small grocery area with middle eastern products and produce. I highly recommend the fatayers (filling wrapped in pastry), which are less than three dollars including tax and make for a great light dinner.

We have eating here for over 20 years, having been tempted there by their inclusion in the Entertainment book. We have continued, far past the discounts, because they are just that good. In the past, we have been the biggest on fatayer (beef and feta, or spinach). Avoiding carbs now, we are more likely to eat the kebobs. Or, if we are going to spend some of those carbs, we pick up some of their desserts, a worthwhile splurge.For years, they were our only source of Mediterranean ingredients (for example, during my first forays into homemade hummus). Lately, those ingredients are more readily sourced elsewhere, but it is still fun to walk through their aisles, especially for their amazing prices on spices.

The food was excellent; fresh, tasty and traditional. The owner even gave us a few free baked goods to try, which were in fact phenomenal and convinced us to purchase a few more. The best thing about this place is the price; you can get a full meal for like 8$!!!They have shwarma, gyros, and many traditional middle eastern treats and cheeses. They also have a small grocery section.

The food is authentic and so fresh. The staff are friendly, engaging and eager to share their traditions with you. Worth the drive no matter what area in Richmond you reside. Nothing about this place is over the top or flashy but if youre looking for fantastic foods at reasonable prices then this is the place!

Tasty middle eastern/Mediterranean baked goods, prepared foods and limited groceries. The cookies and other sweet treats are amazing and there is quite a variety of interesting imporred dried and canned items. I have not yet tried the prepared foods but they look great.

This is my favorite local fast food Arabic restaurant. A lot of great choices and value meal deals, as well as a huge selection of grocery items and quality ingredients like regional spices. The moussaka is my favorite. Also the staff is friendly and very helpful.

I love that fresh chicken pies or sauted eggplant! They used to have really good kufta kabob with a mix of lamb and beef, but recently the taste changed... its dry and less flavored 😕I hope its just a transition or temporary issue. I always like to support local business 😉
