The cars we checked out at Richmond Lexus were in generally better shape than most other dealerships, certainly better than any independent dealers. Car Fax was readily available, salespeople answered all questions openly. Staff was friendly, the vehicle we purchased was well prepared at pick-up and finishing the deal was easy and quick. Recently my car was having a misfire issue that was really hard to reproduce at the dealer (You need to be able to reproduce it to have it covered by the warranty). It comes and goes away for weeks. So I had been to a few places but they wouldnt do anything if they initially dont find the problem. I took it to the OpenRoad Lexus Richmond and David Lai was my service advisor. He really took matters into his own and investigated for a few days. They were finally reproduce/confirm the misfire so that my warranty could cover the cost. Got it fixed but misfires happened again from other cylinders. Now out of 6 fuel injectors, 3 are replaced. David even went further to ask the insurance company to change all 6. Even though the request was denied, I am thankful to David for taking a step further for me.Also he explained well how the other injectors could go wrong in the future and what to expect from it.I highly recommend this service department of Richmond Lexus and will definitely repeat going back if any issue comes up.

Call in this dealership few weeks ago inquire about the new Lexus NX 2022 specifications and each model details. During that time price and model spec is not available yet in website. Talked to sales Danny on the phone ask him about the wait time for NX 450h, and he told me there are about already 200+ people already put down deposit for NX450h and wait time is 1 year plus+. WOW okay then I ask him to email me the specification and price details, and then he said okay and will email me all the information. After the phone I never got any email from him or meassge from him. Well good job openreoad lexus, you just lost a potential customer. I called other dealership, they emailed me the spec sameday and the nextday I went to that dealership and put down a deposit. Will not recommend this dealership for anyone!

Past experiences with the services department had been great for many years however this recent visit was unsatisfactory. I went in for a simple battery check at 2pm, was told it would take an hour for a battery recharge but got my car back closer to 5pm. Missed an important meeting at work and kept coworkers waiting. The lady who assisted with the service did apologize for the delay when handing over my keys but should have communicated this earlier. At the very least inform me that there will be a delay and an eta for the delay once the hour mark has passed.

Would never go back to this dealership, made an appointment at 2PM, arrived on time, sales agent was assisting other customer. After a few minutes agent talked with me to discuss part of the deal, nothing was made final as he cannot present figure because of the decision from his boss told me if I could present a document that would help in the decision making. I agreed, went home got the document, went back again at the dealership. I called the agent and he came down to get the document and made me to wait for 20-25 minutes.called him but did not answer, Found out he was assisting another client. Talked to him after his customer left that I need to leave as I have been waiting for a long time, talked to me that there is still no decision regarding my trade-in, made a round again with his boss and gave a low ball offer just to have an answer. Should have told me not to come to the dealership if nothing can be finalised, wasted my time.

The waiting room is spacious. However, We do miss the cafeteria for our appointment was 11:30 AM but I was giving 2 - $5 voucher from Nina Hou. However, it is difficult for seniors to walk to the Toyota Dealer to use the coupons! No shuttle was provided for my appointment took 4 hours. After 30 minutes, Nina managed to get us a loaner so that I could go shop in Richmond. Good experience overall because of Ninas hard work to please her customers.

Initially, I took my car here for a recall for my passengers side airbag, which they promptly fixed within a couple of hours.However, my airbag light was still on after that, so I took my car back a few weeks later, and I was advised that it was the drivers side airbag light that was the problem and they would have to run a diagnostic.Four hours later, their mechanics could not figure out what was going on with it, called me and told me they would need more time. Meanwhile, I have already been charged $600 for their time. I told them to forget it and would get it dealt with elsewhere.I took my car to my regular mechanic and they sorted out the problem within 20 minutes and the problem was fixed after two hours once the part was received.Lexus charged me more for their time and diagnostic, than I paid at my actual mechanics shop to fix the problem. How does that make any sense?I will never return to OpenRoad Lexus. The treatment I received and how I was taken advantage of is disgusting and borderline theft from what is supposed to be a high-end dealership.

Sharing this review for my good friend who just had a harrowing time at this dealership. Guys, there are dealerships who offer to pickup customers just for test drives. But you can’t pickup a customer so that he can take delivery of his vehicle which he paid you for!! Now that’s really disgusting. In the age where companies go over and beyond to win customers, Lexus Richmond is doing everything opposite to drive away customers. You guys should be ashamed!

I just bought a used Lexus privately and dropped into a Open Road Lexus, Richmond to see about possible servicing and to see if I could purchase a nice Lexus keychain. Talked to a man in parts Dept (or at least the area where accessories were sold). He was very friendly and pleasant. He answered many of my questions in detail. With regard to the keychain; when I noted there wasn’t much of a selection, that is, mostly leather ones and not metal as I wanted, he apologized and said he was getting more in a week. When I said I didn’t live in Richmond and had travelled a ways, he went in the back and brought out a beautiful chrome and blue chain that came with a gorgeous, classy looking pen. He told me I could have it free of charge, just for coming in. Wow! My attitude toward the Lexus brand, which was already high, went through the roof. What a great way to get new customers and to show you care! Many thanks.

Really pathetic Customer service especially from the Finance Manager. I’m in the process of buying a vehicle and the whole process has been extremely painful.Now to take delivery of my vehicle, I requested a pickup from Surrey and these guys clearly REFUSED that we don’t do pickups outside Richmond. So guys if you want to buy anything here, make sure you have a ride prearranged if you live outside Richmond. I tried getting in touch with the General Manager-Ben Lovie and was told that he’s never available for phone calls. I was given his email and now waiting for his response - all of this just to arrange a pickup from Surrey so that I can take delivery of my vehicle.I really feel stuck with these guys and hope nobody else goes through this ordeal.

This week I bought a Lexus car from them, the salesman Gurp was so good, polite, helpful in everything, but when I went inside to make the payment, the accountant had doubt about the check, excusing herself that some people give them a fake check, so she ask me to open my bank mobile app to prove them that really happened the withdrawal of the check amount, and additionally they start getting photo of my bank account page, this is really unprofessional. Instead what they did with me they could call the bank and ask about the issued check is real or not. Second thing it’s frustrated me that the car owners manual was missing and they couldn’t order for me a new copy because the car is not brand new.

They have few good guys, but others are really bad. Once you’re entrapped with their fancy promises & they have taken your deposit, you cease to be a customer for them. And more so, if you don’t live in Richmond don’t expect them to pick you up for taking delivery of your new car. Just saw that other people had shared the same concern.

Wow can’t believe the horrible service at this Lexus dealership, from buying the car to dealing with their service department. There is absolutely awful customer service at this dealership and I regret even buying my car there and the extended warranty because now I need deal with this bunch of unprofessionally. Went to get my car serviced today for an appointment at 2pm, and the three service “professionals” all ignored me while I was sitting in front of them and they only sent me a message on my phone after 45mins of waiting. The original guy didn’t put me in line, lied about not being able to contact me, and then disappeared only to reappear after I left the dealership. This type of awful service actually extends throughout the dealership. Never thought a luxury car company could be this bad. I will definitely be speaking to the owner or headquarters about how awful this is since speaking to the managers produce no results. Maybe it’s too easy for them to sell Lexuses in Richmond so they don’t care. Stay away!

Came here for the third time with the same noise first time they heard the problem but needed a senior technician to verify it since he doesn’t work on the weekend, second time noise was not there third time the senior tech heard the noise.However I have been getting courtesy vehicle every time but third time David Lai said I can’t since my insurance doesn’t cover the collision I have been using my insurance for 8 years and when the new ICBC policy kicked in on May 2021 my insurance “Paper” was not change since I renewed it on January 2021 so the record from ICBC shows I have coverage but not the paper.Really hope the service advisors would’ve told me long time ago about this since they have been giving me a courtesy car now I have no way of going back to Vancouver and stuck here whether the vehicle will be fix todayDavid is very thorough with his job and it’s my second time dealing with him. Very polite and well trained.Update:Called David same day that problem still there and told me he would call me back after he check with the technician it’s been 5 days no call backSept. 29David left a message saying that there’s another vehicle with the same problem and will try to see what they can do to resolve the other vehicle since they don’t want me spending time back and forth. So I’ll be changing my review back to 4 stars the one less star was vehicle insurance. I’ll be waiting for the update and hopefully it gets fix.UPDATE: OCT. 15No phone call from David regarding about the “Other” car with the same problem. How long does it take to find a suspension noise? And how many times does a Technician find the noise?

My wife and I went in to look at the UX and NX models. Stacy Yang was helping us out, she was recommended by my brother who purchased a vehicle from her two week prior and highly recommended her. She was very knowledgeable of the models and different packages available. She did not just show us brochures to see the difference. She actually knows them by heart. Great follow up, even offered a second test drive for my wife a week later as we could not make up our minds. At the end, we chose the UX and we love it. Our Business manager Cindy and Corinna were both great as well. Very good over all experience and will definitely recommend going to see them if are looking for a new vehicle.

I purchased a 2017 Lexus GX 460 from Open Road Lexus in Richmond in Oct 2020. I experienced issues relating to the driver side control arm bushings after driving it off the lot. The SUV was inspected by a Toyota Certified Master Tech and confirmed the bushings required replacement. For months I complained to Open Road Lexus of my issues. Their mechanics were incompetent and unable to identify the issue. They also would not validate my independent mechanics report that is a Certified Toyota Master Tech. I finally gave up and took the suv to Regency Lexus. I was treated with the utmost respect from Regency meanwhile the head Manager for Open Road Lexus Dan Levy called me and was extremely rude. Questioning if I knew what it was like to drive a truck.After taking the suv to Regency they confirmed the bushings were cracking and required replacement.However now the SUV was out of warranty. The total out of pocket cost to me was $480. This really should have been fully covered under warranty. At this point I didnt care about the cost I just wanted my SUV repaired.David Pham from Regency Lexus provided me unimaginable customer service. The level of care and attention to detail was a breath of fresh air.Thank you David Pham for your amazing care and attention to proper customer service.Me and my family will never step foot in another Open Road dealership.I am looking for another lexus for my wife and it will be coming from Regency Lexus.Do yourself a favor and stay away from Open Road.

Ive been been lexus for close to 6 years now. My first lease experience was excellent and had no complaints, however when i switched from the NX to the UX in 2019, everything has gone downhill ever since. My UX battery has died twice on me, the 2nd time resulting in a 5 hour wait in the middle of nowhere. The service team insisted the battery was not faulty the 1st time, however when i had to bring it in the 2nd time (after the 5 hour wait) they finally acknowledge it was the battery. In February of 2021, i brought in my ux to service and got a complimentary service car- it was the day it was snowing in Vancouver- The service team told me it would be ready by 1 PM- i waited and waited and finally got at 3:50 to let me know that i had 10 mins to pick up my car as the dealership closes at 4 PM. i told her it was next to impossible as it was snowing hard that day plus i was in north van- she argued with me and i asked to speak to the manager, which she told me to drop it off the next day at 11:00 AM, no problem at all! Fast forward to the last 3 months. I have been dealing with Chris to terminate my lease early. he keeps saying that he would get back to me, how he will provide exceptional customer service moving forward.however ive reached out to him 3 times yet he still keeps dodging any questions i have. He said he would look into the used Tesla 3 that he has on inventory- didnt get back to me until i reached out again. Today, ive asked to speak to the Manager Mike Ma, i called in twice- you guessed it, still havent heard anything from him. Terrible Customer Service the last 2 years.

Alfe and his colleagues were never pushy nor gave any indications that they were merely comission- and salary-hungry. Couldn’t be happier I stayed with Lexus again for my new car and one of the main reasons for that is my experience with my agent Chris Ting.He was consistent and persistent with information and listened to what my needs were regarding my new vehicle. I am so happy I listened to him and stayed with Lexus.The negotiations were smooth, easy and timely. My car came in earlier than expected and the delivery process was seamless.There was one major hiccup in my opinion and I was told by someone that “nothing can be done.” As soon as I messaged Chris about my dissatisfaction he called me immediately, listened and understood where I was coming from. Stacy Yang, the leasing manager, who reviewed the end of lease and suggested other alternatives for my RX350. She was very professional and courteous in laying out all the pros and cons on buy out. At the end she put together such a great deal that we drove away a 2021 RX350! We appreciated her service and definitely will ask again Stacy for our next Lexus.

I recently had a great vehicle leasing experience with Chris Ting. Hes clearly passionate about the Lexus brand and went above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of. I was originally looking at other vehicle brands and wasnt really considering Lexus - but Chris changed my mind. His high-level of service and care is what really stood out to me during and even after the transaction. He demonstrated a personalized sales approach and was extremely patient with me through multiple requests to test drive the different vehicles. Buying from OpenRoad Lexus Richmond was the easiest car buying experience Ive had.First I shall say, you should book an appointment with sales before you come in if you want great service as you walk through the front doors. This dealership is quite busy.Booked an appointment to see a Lexus RC and test drive it. My sales person Andy Ho was pleasant to deal with. He had the car ready to go for test drive. Within minutes I was on the road. Andy was informative about the car, and answered all the question I had.After the test drive we sat down to talk numbers. Absolutely no pressure here. I was also able to make a deal with them and had some money taken off the price and void some fees.During the paperwork process was painless. Very easy to deal with their Buisness manager Daniel.After all this was said and done, they managed to get my car ready for delivery 1 day earlier with all the minor changes on the car.Do not hesitate to shop here at Lexus Richmond. Andy Ho, Daniel and the rest of the team made it a dream to buy a car.

She was available any time of the day, explained every aspect of my purchase, went above and beyond to help me in every step until I came to pick my car up. This dealership has really changed in the last few months. The whole sales team has changed and the sales manager is extremely difficult to reach. Their fees are much higher than other dealerships now and they did not want to honour a contract signed with the previous sales team. I am so glad I went to another dealership to buyout my leased vehicle. Be careful of extra fees with this dealership and look closely at your contract!!!

I had a great experience at OpenRoad Lexus. I had been to a number of dealerships looking at both new and used vehicles over the last month and encountered varying levels of customer service. Our product adviser/ sales person, Danny Chow, definitely exceeded my expectations.I came across a used car I was interested in through an OpenRoad Lexus Richmond facebook advertisement. Despite the car not being a Lexus vehicle, Danny answered all of our questions and handled our concerns with ease. My family and I, especially appreciated Dannys honesty, lack of pushiness, and willingness to help. We had gone in the first day to specifically see the car and left after not being 100% ready to make the purchase. Danny listened to our concerns and was very understanding. Despite this, the dealership still showed a willingness to help when we went in the next day to take another look at the car. We were able to reach a deal that we were both satisfied with and Danny made sure any concerns we had about the vehicle, such as minor damage, were addressed.I will definitely be recommending OpenRoad Lexus Richmond to family and friends, and appreciate Dannys help in purchasing a vehicle.
