The interior is seriously lacking, for a second I thought I stepped into someones closet versus a bedding store, with the low lighting and cramped space. Other things that are minimal are the selection of beds and the younger guys patience with customers with his obviously Serta and Sealy when I asked about their brands. His attitude got even worse, if thats possible, when I replied to his question of what type of bed are you looking for with medium. It seems his entire purpose was to demean a customer versus attempting to entice them into a sale. No matter, I was simply window shopping today and it probably would have been a time saver for both myself and the two salespersons had I not entered this store, so Ill go elsewhere with my money. Surprised with the reviews of this place - me thinks there is some padding going on with fake 5-star reviews for this literal hole in the wall of a place.

Its easy to be bad,,, its HARD to be good. I read the COUPLE of bad reviews. Dropping the bottom worst couple and dropping off the BEST couple,,, AN OVERALL RATING of 4.9, is a 5.0... AND thats what this company and this Mr. Hiles are,,,5.0. I did quite a bit of research on the various beds and Mr. Hiles gave information in accordance to the manufacturer, others seemed not as accurate and I verified the info with a phone call. Seems Mr. Hiles is forthright about the information and all his efforts, and is firm in his conviction and belief that he is giving a great price on a great product and I, along with almost all the other that left reviews believe. I think that the very few people that were disappointed had their right in their interpretation AND I AM TRULY SORRY THAT THEY DID! (not yelling, but emphasizing) I purchased the frame for my elderly mother and everything went according to what Mr. Hiles AND HIS SON THAT I AM SURE HAS LEARNED VERY WELL FROM HIS DAD!(that was yelling) and the rest is up to the bed itself, been a short period of time but sweet so far. I came across Richmond Bedding and was in constant contact with them. They thoroughly answered my questions - without pressuring me to purchase from them. I settled on Richmond Bedding not only because of the superb customer service but because of their competitive pricing. Their price of the Prodigy Elite was better than what other companies were selling the S-Cape 2.0 - which is a lesser product. In addition to the bed I learned how to purchase a proper mattress (of which they sell various models that other places dont sell). Before purchasing the products the delivery process was explained to me. Of which Im happy to say that the bed arrived and was set up in my bedroom in a timely fashion. Almost too good to be true! We purchased an adjustable frame from Richmond Bedding last November. Tim was very straight forward about policies and what to expect with the delivery timeline. Things went as scheduled, and we got a great deal. We plan to do business with him in the future. Buying a bed can be a scary thing. Buying a bed and having it delivered to another state is something that we thought we would not do, but yet we did and would do it again. While we bought the bedding part at another place before we even talked to Tim, we did see the L&P Prodigy adjustable base in different stores while shopping. So, when we choose to finally change the base of our bed to adjustable, we looked at different places online as the stores around us didnt seem to want to offer any discount on just the adjustable base. I called and/or visited many websites and local places. While I found some to be same or slightly cheaper, NONE had the knowledge and put in the effort to build a website that would help the customer understand the choices available that Richmond Bedding displayed. If you want to buy from someone who cares about your needs and backs up the product they sell, call Tim! I dont write many reviews, so it should say something that I felt I must in this case. It has been over 3 months and all is well. The adjustable base was delivered as promised and easy to setup. Getting hundreds off retail and a lifetime warranty was a nice bonus!

Great experience! White glove delivery was worth it, and easy. The bed is for my mother who is 86, and she is not very techy, but actually loves the features, and has no trouble with the remote. Contacted after to ask for online manual and warranties, and they sent me links right away. I liked that there was no unnecessary sales-talk, and everything you need to know is on the website.

My husband and I just left this store. Honestly, I struggle to understand how this establishment EVER sells anything to walk-in customers. The man seated behind the desk was quite rude. My husband is very specific with they type of bed that he wants. We have a memory foam mattress that is queen sized at home and it is very firm. We have looked a little, and it seems that the mattresses we are finding are less firm. My husband loves this mattress we have at home, but we just want to upgrade to a king sized bed. The man seated behind the desk made a few terse comments to my husband from the moment we entered the store. I was able to convince him to give this place a chance since we had driven from Petersburg Va (35 min) to visit the store. The young sales person was nicer and he attempted to accommodate my husband. The sales person was essentially reprimanded in front of us because he started offering us options that were only available to online customers. Ultimately the people at this place had terrible interpersonal skills and didnt seem interested in the least in helping a customer that was prepared to spend up to $2,000 on a bed this day. Their lossWe will never be back and wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. The sad thing is the fact that they seemed to have a reasonable product, just not what we were looking to buy. (Unless they had an online product that just wasnt available to us as walk-in customers)Very disappointed after wasting out time to make the trip up here.

Store great; delivery not so much.Tim runs a really good store. He really cares about his business, and it was a pleasure to deal with him. This aspect gets 5-stars.However, the delivery was not so good, and I can only give it a 3-star rating.I paid $200 extra for white glove delivery and setup and it did not go smoothly. Normally one doesnt complain about a delivery truck arriving 1/2 hour earlier than planned, but in this case it was an issue, as I had not finished taking apart the old bed frame when they arrived. The guy gave me a really hard time about not having a clean surface on which to place it, and I had to argue with him about not having had enough time to disassemble the frame. He relented rather grudgingly and I finished doing my job about 5 minutes later. At no point did he offer to help.Im 75 years old, so a bit of help would have been much appreciated.The guys didnt know anything about the remote control, even though complete setup and instruction about using the bed is supposedly included in the $200 White Glove service.The delivery company claimed to have left phone messages with me, which is false; they had the correct phone number and my cell phone never recorded any incoming phone call, and of course no message was ever left.Basically, Leggett and Platt needs to find a different final-mile delivery/setup service--First Leading Cargo is pretty bad. Save your money ($200-250) and hire a local mover to wrestle this very big package upstairs.So, the delivery service gets 3-stars, for an overall 4-star rating for Richmond Bedding.

He gave me a quote on the S-Cape and Prodigy from L&P, and I elected to go with the prodigy as it seemed like a great value after much research. The most important thing to know, Richmond Bedding had the best price by far for Leggett and Platt than all the other vendors I contacted. I was on the phone with Tim for a short time and got all the info I needed to make the purchase. Also, Richmond offers a great warranty with the products... they really stand behind the product. I will update this review upon receipt of our adjustable bed, but the purchase process with Tim was great. Support these smaller businesses!!!!

I purchased a queen size Prodigy for 1495.00 with shipping included from Richmond Bedding RB. I had the bed delivered curb side which was free and delivered by a freight company called Wilson Trucking. The delivery man was very nice and set the bed in my garage for me with his hand truck. If you want White Glove delivery it cost 250.00 extra. The box for the queen weighs 198 pounds. I managed to move the bed by myself and set it up but I highly recommend in having someone strong help you. The assembly is pretty straight forward, choose between 4 or 7 inch feet screw them on, attached wheels and plug er in. I live in SC and the bed shipped from NC and was delivered in my house 8 days after I ordered it. It was manufactured in March only 2 months prior in KY. I shopped around for the best price but I was put off by the sales tactics from the other major online competitors like Atl*****Bed*, which by the way was 1300.00. If you want to haggle give them a call over RB Overall I went with Richmond Bedding even though they arent the cheapest the customer service is excellent. And Tim offers a warranty on parts for the bed for as long as he lives which is nice too. Overall I definitely recommend Richmond Bedding but if you want the cheapest price you can shop around.

The best place to buy Leggett & Platt ! After a lot of online searches and looking at local stores, it was clear that no one could beat Richmond Beddings prices. I called and emailed a couple of times and every time I got a quick and knowledgeable response. Even if you are just researching differences, their website is a treasure trove of information. After ordering they told us exactly what to expect and the delivery person dropped it off in our garage (which is what we paid for and expected). DIY Installation was a breeze and I called back asking an obscure question about the bluetooth connectivity and the after sale response was just as good :).

I ordered a Leggett & Platt Podigy 2 Split King adjustable bed frame bed from Richmond bedding 3 months ago and am very pleased with it. It was by far the best price I could find on that brand and model. Being a split king my wife and l each make our own adjustments for sleeping. We are both sleeping better. We put mattresses from Purple on it. I no longer need to sleep with a wedge under my pillow to stop acid reflux and can raise it to read sitting up. I wish I had bought it years ago.

I purchased a Leggett and Platt adjustable bed frame from these guys. I was a bit hesitant initially, especially being out of state as I wouldve preferred to purchase locally. However, after giving them a call, I was reassured I was in good hands with simple gestures: providing honest answers, no rush to purchase and to the point price quotes. When I decided to place my order, Tim, the owner I believe, made it a point to confirm order placement details. Additionally, their advice in delivery options was well received after witnessing the delivery, assembly, and rubbish disposal the delivery guys went through. I wish more retailers would operate similarly. I recommend them highly.

I shopped everywhere and all types of beds trying to make the right decision. After several weeks of visiting every furniture and mattress store in Richmond, I discovered Richmond Bedding and the perfect bed for us. We wanted the split adjustable king bed with a mattress made for the bed.We decided on the pocketed coils and natural latex top. My research said this was the best combination for a bed that would be bending. We bought 2 XL twins so set up and moving were and will be easy. No twisting a king around corners and through doorways. With the comforter it sets up as a king and looks great. I was a Stearns and Foster fan ( before they were sold off and dropped their quality) before so I know a good quality mattress. This is an awesome mattress and bed (Leggett and Platt is the best in the industry).You wont go wrong with these guys. Great service and support.

Tim Hiles raises the bar on what online purchasing should be!Last night I went to bed on our new S-Cape Performance + with a 100% Latex Mattress at 10:30pm. Used the restroom twice in the night and fell back to sleep each time. Ready for this -- the phone woke us at 9:50am!!!! I havent slept like this since I can remember. It has taken us about 3 nights to completely get use to our 100% Latex because we have always had coils before, but now I am sleeping like a young child!I always knew when my wife came to bed and being a light sleeper I knew each time she got up in the night with our old yet very expensive king size mattress. The 100% Latex twin mattresses with our S-Cape Performance + adjustable bed has completely resolved this. I dont know when she lays down or gets up. Great for light sleepers who want to continue sleeping in the same bed with their spouse. Snoring? Though my snoring is not completely gone, my wife tells me that it has been greatly reduced.Everything about our purchase experience was Blue Ribbon! Tim even came through when the White Glove shipping company had dropped the ball. He was on top of the situation like white on rice and the shipping company jumped through hoops to remedy the situation!I really like Tims website that tells all about bedding products and allows the customer to be fully educated not only about bedding products but also about what to expect when purchasing from Richmond Bedding.

First, I am completely pleased with the bed. The information I got from this site helped me to make the right decision on the model. Second, a phone call to a live person (same one actually-called twice) answered all my questions. Remember walking into a store and finding an informed salesperson who answered all the dumb questions with respect. Same experience. The white glove experience meant the bed was brought to the site (back ground level entrance -down a steep lawn). Packaging taken away immediately. And yes, would DEFINITELY recommend them.
