The store is clean, well organized with friendly helpful staff. We ordered breakfast burritos and they were tasty, very good portion size and well priced. Pastries are very good. We picked up strawberry tamales and looking forward to trying. Very happy with our experience.

The sushi here is always fresh the owner of the sushi place is super friendly and can make your special order on spot. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 🥰🥰🥰

My 1st time coming to Northgate Market. This is the one in Riverside that opened in November. Very clean, conscious of social distancing guidelines & overall friendly. Exceptional customer service! Was very stunned to find out that they have a sushi station with everything made in house, and done by a chef who is widely known across Riverside. Martha is one of the workers who helped me along and educated me about some of the history of Northgate and explained some of the different sections in the store to me. I very much look forward to trying out some of the products here at a future date. They have a little bit of everything!

I love that theyre always making fresh bread and guarantee they always have Topo Chico in stock. They have some good ready to eat hot food there too Ive had it before its pretty tasty.

I just moved to this area and I happened to go to this store looking for Tamales, man oh man did I find the best tasting Tamales ever, but More than that I found really great fresh produce, all of the spices I need and get this fresh hot out of the oven bolero rolls they were still warm when I got home so of course I couldnt help but slather some butter on it and eat it.Now that being said Customer Service is well can I say amazing and this girl is speaking from a different culture I felt so comfortable and every person I spoke with was very ready to help me........so I guess this is my family store from this point forwardThank you Northgate you guys have raised the bar, and I personally appreciate it

So excited to have this market open in the IE. Its so impressive with its amazing selection and low prices. Its really big and spacious and theres a lot of really cool features that make this a one of a kind shopping experience. Newly paved parking lot with is very nice with a lot of spaces. Building is clean and easy to see from the street. Walking in youre going to be amazing by house big the market is. Starting from the left and wrapping around the building youll see different stations selling different food and products. If you purchase food you can go upstairs to their nicely decorated dining area and eat. Lots of seating and plugs to charge your phone. From there you can overlook the whole market which is coo. They also have a community room as well. The produce section is the biggest ive ever saw. Big selection of specialty produce, bulk containers and spices are amazing. They make their own tortillas on-site and have a really impressive carneceria /butcher section. Beer and wine area is big! like, its massive! and of course they have a big bakery with great selection of pastries and baked goods Over all its a great market that really sets the standard for markets to open in the area.

My favorite super market, they have a great central american section with yummy treats from central america. Their meat is always fresh and delicious. Get their child reyenos, they are soooo good as well as their carnitas and fresh tortillas.

The cakes sold here at the bakery are 😋 oh, so yummy. Ive purchased a few already this past month. Very pleased. Only that sometimes there isnt too many vanilla cakes or that the cakes are a bit too big. Great selection of pre-made decorated cakes.

This store is the most exciting and friendlies store. They are well verse in mulitpl languages, when you come in the atmosphere is like you are on a carvanial cruse, everything is clean and fresh with lots of smiles, and they are very knowledgeable about the different varieties of there food. I am a very well please customer. I am glad that they are in Riverside.

My first time here and I loved the prices on produce and meat, was late in the evening but they have hot food to go available till 9 PM, and I am looking forward to coming back to try some of their caldos, very bright and clean store.

Very impressive. Everything was fully stocked neat clean, samples of menudo delicious. Came home with Tamales, Pan Dulce and all sorts of good produce.

I needed a plain vanilla cake and their people in the bakery department helped me when they saw how I was struggling with just trying to change one of their cakes.They made it from scratch with what I wanted. Those ladies are rock stars, plain and simple. This is where Im coming whenever I needed a cake.

Best sushi!!! Mr. Choy always greets me when I buy his sushi. Freshly made everyday. They are as good as any local sushi places or even better. Hands down.

This is by far my favorite large Mexican store in the area. Love the Northgate supermarket.

I love northgate BUT their meat section closes before the actual time the whole store closes. There’s no sign in sight with what hours the meat section is open or closed. I assumed it would be until the whole store closed but I guess not. Had to go to Cardenas to buy the meat instead.

I love this store! The hot foods are all beyond delicious.Today we got the chili relleno with a chili and cream cheese dish, rice and beans. We also got Tamales and Caldo de Pollo. Everything was delicious and I would highly recommend it. Fast and friendly service.

Love this place! Use to live in Santa Ana and would shop there often. Feels like a smaller location but still have what we need. Only thing I dislike about this location is that ridiculous security guard. Takes his job way too serious! Relax Mr security guard its only a grocery store!

This place is great! The food at the courts is excellent, especially the sushi. The selection is also impressive. The only downfall this store has is that everything is in spanish with only half-hearted translations, so if you dont speak the language youll find yourself struggling to find what you want.

There are many things I really like about this store. Top on my list right now is that they require everyone to wear a face mask or you are NOT allowed in. They have an armed security guard to make sure no problems.I think their produce is nice and fresh. Their meat department is wonderful. There is a line to wait for your turn. Yes, people are 6 feet apart waiting their turn.Great Store!

Their deli ready foods are SO delicious no matter which item you choose! And are regularly made fresh. Ribs that fall off the bone, plain or spicy chicken strips that are juicy, freshly made Tortas and burritos are ALL great menu items to choose from with a fresh Agua Fresca to complete your meal. And they have a wide variety of produce which at any time has looked so amazingly vibrant and fresh. They also have freshly prepared guacamole and salsa daily!

I have been calling for a little over an hour now on 3 different phones choosing different extensions but no one will answer the phone. This is really bad customer servic. Love the store but hate when you cant get help.

Excellent variety of authentic Mexican products, very organized, and clean.

Great place. The prepared food is delicious. I brought home refried beans, Spanish rice, tortilla chips, tortillas and tamales. All were great. I would highly recommend this store. They also have a great meat counter.

The store is super clean . Everything was so organized . Indeed the best Northgate that Ive seen . All the staff except the baking department were nice . The baker was busy and I understand but didnt even acknowledge me until the girls that was serving the sweet bread asked him if he would be able to assist me and still didnt acknowledge despite me being in front of him . I still give this Northgate a 5 . Cant let one person mess it up for everyone else. Meat is nice a red all separated and packed neatly.

Being in the retail business for 19yrs. Meat Seafood and Deli. with one of the first Upscale market chains in O.C. Ca. I am familiar with purchasing, display case setting merchandising and sanitation for those departments. Northgate Markets understands ALL the concepts of retail.Northgate Markets is a very pleasant shopping experience, for me.

I keep getting bad meat. Spoiled to the disgusting point that it makes you gag. Dont buy the packaged meet.

This is such a neat grocery store, very unique in that they are a higher end mexican market. Lots of fresh and organic produce, the quailty is excellent unlike other mexican markets. They have a carniceria that looks very clean and doesnt smell like rancid also unlike other mexican markets. The aisles were well stocked with many products ive never seen but wanted to try. They have an excellent service deli the mayocaba refried beans and salsa was amazing. Cant wait to come back and try more new things.

Been to the store several times as very close to my work, and closer than Stater Bros. First visit was uncomfortable. A Hispanic customer shoved her way thru me to get to the hot food, never even saying excuse me. I felt like because I was white, I didnt feel welcome. So I gave it another chance on the second visit was much better. Many employees with smiles on their faces. I asked the produce guy if there was a organic section, but he didnt understand English, so another employee helped me. He told her the only thing organic were some carrots in the back. As I browsed the produce isle, I noticed on my own several packaged items labeled organic, so if you are looking for organic in this market, you need to spend a lot of time looking because its all mixed in with the regular foods and produce. Third visit was nice too. Very helpful staff. I really like the chicken tamales. I dont care for the beef because they put more potatoes than beef in them. The store is very clean and organized, much better than Cardenas.

With all of the great food, meats, and seafood it was great. They also have to cleanest restrooms for a public place. Keep up the good work. Now the only thing I have to say negative is the ceviche counter the lady wouldnt drain some the juice out when making my order quote I cant, so I had all juice less ceviche 😔

If you go for meat, cheese,(deli) in general..got to be veeery patient..6 or 7 guys in there, only 1 taking orders.. for meat or deli go somewhere else..

Bad experience with the bakery and cake design for all we know this cake we ordered as a gift for our nieces baby shower was done in a rush the ..wont be ordering any cakes from here anymore the only helpful person was Chris so were happy with him

Selling the GMO Gala apples that dont brown. Found out that something up with the apples after experiencing stomach cramping and pain consuming one of these mutants (feeling as my stomach has hard time digesting it).I rather spend my money on one real apple than 2 lbs of this junk.Its expensive to be sick.

Love this place. Its not as big as the Anaheim location, but its MUCH closer to home. Fruit and veggies looked super fresh and the Mexican bread was being made as I was getting it. (The employees get it for you now. Im ok with that.) Ill definitely be back.

Everyone here was super helpful and ALL were bilingual. I think that is excellent. Other Hispanic supermarket stores usually have staff that cant or dont speak English very well or at all but NOT north gate!

Welcome to IE Northgate. Only complaint is in the tamales... cheese tamales need more cheese, chicken tamales need more sauce...kinda dry. So far, great selection, clean and organized produce. Oh and on my last visit, April 4, 2020, market was too crowded...not CDC friendly.

Its a new market that caters to the latino community. Nice and clean store. Big selection of fresh prepared Mexican foods, both hot and cold. A meat counter with a nice variety of beef, pork, chicken and all their parts. Lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. The rest is your run of the mill grocery store. Prices seem to be lower than other chin grocery stores.

Great place, I always find new things to try and buy. Their sushi selection is top tier with great pricing. Their alcohol selection has brands and styles I have not seen elsewhere. A massive must visit for anyone looking for value and selection.
