So far Im a big fan. Ive had headlights fixed, check engine lights, oil changes, and electrical issues fixed by these guys. They do boats and On the spot registration so Im a huge fan! Probably the thing that makes me the most comfortable is their willingness to explain the issue to you. Id recommend them to my mom or sister for an honest mechanic that does a great job. I recently brought my boat in for a repair (replace the shaft seal) followed by a surprise radiator repair on my car. Mike and the team at Matson auto were very flexible with scheduling the boat repair. They more than met all of their timelines and quotes that they had given me and helped provide great advice on my boat and the repairs made.Despite my inability to be reached during the day due to a busy schedule they went above and beyond to communicate via other means to give me critical information quickly.With my surprise radiator repair they worked with me to figure out the best solution for my wallet as well as for my car’s “situation”. I ordered winter tires from Tire Rack for my car and opted to ship them to a Tire Rack certified shop hoping there would be a higher quality of service than your average Discount Tire, Big O, etc since my car is quite rare. As soon as I walked in and mentioned I had shipped tires to them, they instantly knew which tires and under whose name. I also needed to juggle wheel and tire setups when installing my winter tires, managing two sets of wheels and three sets of tires in total, and they nailed it perfectly without issue. Do recommend!

So my check engine light came on an My technician was Dane, he was very helpful an very patient with me trying to understand why my light came on an what needed to be done. This is a very efficient place an i couldnt be happier i came here to get the help i needed and to help get my car to be fixed, i will definitely be coming here again in the future if i need anything! Matsons did a diagnostic for us. They fixed NOTHING and charged us $350. Weve gone there for years. We will never, never go back there!! I wouldnt even give them one star. Probably negative 5.

Went in for an emissions test, later that evening noticed one of my headlights was out. No accusations, but suspicious. The guy at the front desk was also dismissive and a bit rude, and the emissions test itself was almost double what Id paid the other past year, at a different auto shop, under a single opaque labor cost. They get one star back for actually being able to run the emissions test.

Late in the year to get boat winterized. Matson Point S got me in and out same day with care. I will be going back definitely this spring and gettting back out on the lake!

I was in Sandy, UT when I was warned on my information panel in my new car that the tire pressure was really low. I had to find a shop who could get me in and fast to get it fixed so I could head home as I had my little granddaughter and daughter with me. They were very kind and helpful and got me in fast. They fixed the tire where there was a large nail and got us on our way. I went up expecting to pay a high price for such quick service when I was corrected and told there wasnt a charge. I hope to return to them when I need to get tires! Thank you so much for your help!

While the service was good, this business does _PAY_ for good reviews. So shopper beware. This is also against Googles policy and also illegal if the poster does not disclose that they were paid. Amazing service always. I just happened upon Matson Tire & Auto, as they are near our house in Riverton. I went it one day about 5 minutes before closing and Kim and team were so kind to help me with a flat even though they were getting ready to head out. On another occasion, I stopped by with tire air pressure issues and again they just quickly took care of me. Most recently my husband purchased 4 new tires and I had a service done. The consistency, kindness, and knowledge they provide every time is unmatched. This is absolutely our new go-to. Thank you!

We’ve only had great experiences at Matson. They patched a tire that was losing air for no cost. They’ve also helped with several other issues. They always communicate what is going on and what the options are clearly. We plan to go back with them for all our car needs.

I just moved here from southern Utah, and needed a new mechanic. I read some reviews for Matson and then took a chance. I needed some significant repair work and they found all the problems, then explained those repairs that were critical versus those that could wait. I asked them to do quite a bit and was surprised by how fast they were. My vehicle is running better than it has in years. Very impressed with their work and their speed!

I called the store to see what was available for new tires. Kim was very informative and helpful. I brought my car down that day and got shown a few options for my car. I picked a popular tire that I knew about and Kim showed me a better tire for my car and come to find out it has a better warranty and more life to the tread. He told me the price and showed me how much I was saving by going with the better tire. Very happy with this store and service. My wife had told me about this store and how they helped her with a flat on her car. They are fast, friendly and informative. As long as they are open I will always be going back and I have refereed anyone who has asked me about tires. Thank you for being Remarkable.

Matson Auto Service was great to work with. I only went in for an emissions test but they were quick and the cost was reasonable. I will definitely return for other services.

My wife and I recently moved to the area and used a different Point S tire at our old home. I am glad to say that Matson Point S provides the same high level of service I have come to expect from Point S. Their shop is clean and employees are welcoming. You get a sense that they really want to do whats best for you rather than just the bottom line. They will continue to be our regular service and tire shop. We are very pleased to have found them.

I have an older car, 1996. Mike went over the car extensively with me. He told me what repairs he would make and which he wouldnt and why. He was really great. Recently my son bought a car and had trouble with it. He took it to Matsons. Again, they were detailed in helping him solve the issue. Theyre honest and up front. They wont take advantage of you. I was extremely pleased with the service.  The old gentleman that helped me at the counter gave me HONEST advice with brakes, tires etc.  I have been to many big name and even smaller repair shops that say that things need to be done immediately so it is a breath of fresh air to have an honest mechanic that lets me know in reality what should be replaced. Matson Tire & Auto took care of my needs quickly. I had a blowout on the road and needed 2 new tires immediately. I called around to several tire shops and they didn’t even have my tire size in stock, and I drive a very common car – a Chevy Impala. When I called this company, however, they had exactly what I needed and I was back up and running in no time! If I would have had to wait for a few days with these other shops, that would have been disastrous for me! Very professional, thanks guys!

Store Manager Kim and Co Owner Chris took great care of me. Had them install a puck lift and 33 tires on a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. They did a great job and really appreciate their timeliness and professionalism. Highly recommend and would go back for any additional needs.

Great boat place. This was recommended to me by a friend to have my Mastercraft worked on. Definitely better than going to the dealer. My understanding is that Mike used to be the head of Mastercraft service so he knows stuff.

Great all purpose tire and auto service shop. Stopped in because I needed a burned out tail light replaced and they got it right in and I was on my way in less than an hour. Ive purchased tires there also at a very good price. I highly recommend them as they follow up with you with discount offers.

I needed a quick emissions test done and everywhere else was going to make me leave my car and hopefully have it done before they closed that day. Matson was the 5th place I had stopped at and they told me it would be 45 minutes but they had it done even sooner. Thank you for great efficient service!

I was recommended this auto shop by a friend when I needed tires a few years ago. Since then, this place has consistently given me the cheapest bid on tires + labor, usually coming in at $10-$70 less than other places. Not only that, but Mike (who I usually run into at the front desk) is very patient and kindly explains all the options I have for tires and work on my car. They have fast service that I have always been satisfied with. Even more so, they send hand-written thank you notes for business (a very sweet touch that I enjoy) and regularly send coupons for service right when you need them.In conclusion, if youre looking for good, fast, and affordable service from a local business, I would hands down recommend Matsons.

We have used Matson Auto for nearly 10 years. The prices are reasonable and we are pleased at the speed our cars get in and out. They are good at sending coupons, so we use them for oil changes and general maintenance.

I showed them my car which had an A/C problem, and they gave me the results really fast. They told me to replace intake manifold which I later figured out was not the issue. They also told me it takes 1500$ to fix it, but they can’t do it because they are not able to fix it and I have to show my car to a specialist. They charged me 126$ which I would say is not acceptable. If you charge someone that much you should have a really good quality of service. I would not recommend them to anyone for AC problems. I showed my car to another place which they were able to fix the AC problem with much cheaper price.

I visited Matson for the first time this year. I had never heard of them until I came across their promo sign at the Riverton City Blitz and decided to check them out for an oil change. I was pleasantly surprised. They were very accommodating about getting me in and it was a zero hassle affair. I would definitely go back.

Got my boat in when they said they would. Called me when it was finished. Hard to find this type of care and customer services. I was impressed.

Have seen this shop for years going to IFA; always noticed a lot of boats and trailers parked at Matson, so when we bought a boat and needed trailer tires I called in. I needed heavier-rated tires and a spare, five in all. Manager recommended a good, mid-priced tire that is their most popular (I recognized it from research) and wouldnt be available for a few days. No worries, as I had already put the boat and trailer on stands and could just drop off the wheels. Matson price was already about $10 per tire cheaper than other places. On arrival the manager told me he had four of a more expensive tire on hand after a sale fell through. Might appear to be the upsell, but I also recognized this tire from research and he priced them down over $30 each, cheaper than Id seen anywhere else. So four very good tires and the original quoted as a spare, I am very happy. Two tows to Flaming Gorge and back, during the heat, and theyve performed flawlessly. I have two teenager-cars needing tires soon and I know Ill get treated well even if I only put less expensive tires on them. Matson has my tire business for good. They provide ACTUAL customer service!

The folks at Matson Auto have been wonderful to work with. They do a great job of explaining any issues that they discover, the work and choices that the vehicle owner has.We have taken two of our vehicles in (Hyundai and Mini) and they took great care of us. I was pleasantly surprised by their ability to work on the Mini. They were good to give the extent of work that was estimated, the billing was spot on (no surprise billing), time that they would need the vehicle (surprisingly quick) and acknowledging when work that should be completed by Mini dealer (in this case recall work).We had an issue with my Mini (related to recall) that persisted after original work and Matson Auto had me come in, completed a thorough review of their own work (no charge) and took the time to contact and be liaison to the Mini dealer regarding work.I would and will go back. I am proud to have them in my Riverton community and will continue to trust them with my vehicles.

Every time I have been to this location they are always very friendly and get my vehicle taken care of in a timely manner (usually right away!). I really enjoy that a tire rotation is included with the oil change since most places charge that separately. I have used this company for a few years now and will continue to use them because of their outstanding customer service.

These guys are amazing. My sons car broke down and I had it towed to them and they diagnosed it, and fixed for a reasonable price and my son was able to get back on the road to college.

I have been so impressed with the service that when one of married daughters needed some services on their slightly used “new car” I had her come out here and get the repairs that were needed done and also because the place they had gotten the car from did not disclose a prior problem Matson Auto and Tire also searched for 2 replacement tires that had been worn on the inside prior to this problem being found and made sure her and their little family would be able to drive safely. Being elderly, it’s hard to find good quality and honest service. I heard good reviews so I took my car in for an oil change. It was done quickly and I wasn’t left waiting for hours. They were very nice. I will be returning!Second time there- same great service! One year maintenance and DIDNT cost arm and leg.

We have been taking our automobiles to Matson for probably 15 years. My kids are all grown now. They take their automobiles to them also. I have always have a positive experience when I go in. They are very reliable and reasonable on price. I recommend them to friends and family all the time. There is so much uncertainty in the world today. It is nice to have one thing you can count on.

Took in my Chrysler Crossfire I recently purchased. Mike and his guys fixed me up. Unique car to have worked on, built by Mercedes however sold by Chrysler in the mid 2000s . I am thoroughly impressed with Matson Auto and their family. I took my car in for a tune up and oil change. After dropping one car off, I decided to take my other and get the tags done and a tire sensor fixed. They were amazing to work with and completely honest. After taking my engine apart and pulling the plugs they found that everything checked out and the $300 tune up and filters were not needed at the time. Honesty does not get better than that. Definitely a customer for life now.

Out of ALL the repair shops that I have been too, this one has the most class. After I had my vehicle repaired, a week later I received a handwritten personalized note thanking me for choosing them to do the repair. Everywhere else had wait times out the wazoo - I called Matson Auto and they quoted me less than 1/2 the time it would have taken at the other repair shops I had called. I went into Matson with a flat tire on my lunch break. This was my first visit with them and I am impressed, not only were they fast but they didn’t even charge me for it. I remind you this was my first time there so the tires were bought at a different place and they still got me right in and at no charge. I had a flat tire before this and took it to the place I purchased the tire from which states “free flat repairs” but they still charged me labor fees of $15. Martin was faster, more friendly and obviously better priced. I am definitely going to try them for my other car needs such as oil changes, etc. just because of how quick and friendly they treated me.

We have gone to Matson Auto & Marine for years. We take our cars there for maintenance as well as our boat. They are always kind and courteous and get us in in a timely manner. One year our boat was broken and it was something very rare and strange. They fixed it, but were not sure it was going to be ok. One of their employees came with us to the Lake to take it for a test drive and make sure we didnt breakdown out in the middle of the lake. He came prepared with tools if it did. It didnt break and they had completely fixed the problem. They went above and beyond what was expected and we wont ever forget it!

We have had our cars serviced at Matson Auto ever since they opened in Riverton, UT. They are honest and fair. Whenever we ask about a possible service we think we may need, they will let us know - without charge - whether or not it is needed, and they never proceed without our approval. If they recommend any service for our vehicles, we always know that they wouldnt recommend it if it wasnt necessary. We highly recommend Matson Auto.

GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO PAY 200$+ AN HOUR FOR LABOR AND OVERPRICED PARTS!Free vehicle inspection and then they gouge ya! Everything they quoted me on was way over priced! The main thing they said needed to be replaced was the water pump. They quoted me 1100$ for a water pump replacement! I went down down to the local Autozone and bought a water pump kit with everything in it for 120$ got some sealer for 5$ and went to work. I replaced the water pump and the pulleys and the timing belt by myself. It took about 8 hours for someone who has never done it before. I can only imagine that for a professional it would take half that time. So if it would only take them 3-4 hours, why are they charging me 300$+ for a part kit that only cost 120$ and why is it 800$ in labor for four hours if they even need that long? Because they know people will pay it, its dishonesty at its best. Stay away if you like your wallet!

We have been using Matson’s for most of our major car maintenance and repairs for the last 6 years. We have had two bad experiences with them but each time they worked with us to make the situation right in the end. People make mistakes no matter who you use and we understand that so for them to make it right was a big positive. Overall their prices have been fair and workmanship has been satisfactory. We will continue to use them.
