I love this place! B&D comics is my go-to-shop for new comics and comic supplies. Ive been going since I was a kid and almost always find something great when I go.

This is a cute little comic shop, they have a decent selection of comics & the staff are always helpful & so nice.

A great family owned shop that is pretty much a Roanoke City landmark business.

I bought my first comic from here well over 25 years ago. Now, my oldest kid is getting into comics. A lot of places that were important to me as a kid arent around anymore, but im glad this place is, and is still in the same location (for now). Its really ashame they will be moving in the near future.

A lot of great comics. This is the original comic book store in Roanoke in my opinion. It is kid friendly for the most part, but if you look around enough in any comic store these days you will find material not suitable for children. This store does better than most in keeping those items out of the reach/ sight of minors.

I have been wanting to come in this place since I was a kid me. My wife finally decided to go in one day when we were passing by and I’m very glad I did. They had the old comic series Spawn are used to collect and I bought out what they had. They were even able to get me issues like number one so I could start my collection again as an adult couldn’t be more happy with the service and the people. If you’ve never gone you should it’s a really cool place 5 stars!

Friendly staff, and well versed in what they sell. Warm atmosphere. If you like comics, head there. Robert was behind the counter, and offered us recommendations and even a subscription to our favorites, so that we could get them as soon as they came in. All in all, it was a great time.

The ownership is great. The location is a little difficult to get in and out of sometimes. The exterior could use some attention. The selection inside is great. The conversations can get politically charged but the employees are generally fairly nice. I recommend this place for all your comic book needs in and around the Roanoke Valley.

Every time we are in Roanoke we make a stop. My husband has been purchasing graphic novels here for many years. They are super friendly and always make excellent suggestions for future reading.

Ive been going to B&D since the late 80s, back when they were on Williamson Road. I still have a wooden B&D Buck thats still good, although Ill probably never use it (nostalgia).The staff is consistent, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. From comic subscriptions & back issues to toys, games & apparel, B&D has it all!

Just a gem of a shop. Staff is very helpful but if you just want to brose, you are able to do so. Always enjoy a visit.

Great place to stop by and search for comics new and old. Everyone here is friendly, and their ever changing sign always makes me chuckle. Definitely wish that there were more places in Roanoke like it.

Basic comic shop. Friendly people. We found a few new MLP Comics for one of our Littles, but none of the other series we looked for were there. Its not a bad place, just not very exciting to us. Sorry.

Decent little comic shop, great selection of older comics, as far as new stuff goes, it feels like you need to be a subscriber to get anything new- Im not local and only in Roanoke half a dozen times a year, so that just doesnt work for me. Still, helpful and friendly staff, worth checking out for older back issues!
