Is very good work shop very nice people I had a kinda of delay with my payment to them with my bank but I did payed them it took awhile but the only thing was my lift gate never got fixed I dont understand why so this is the best I can do

All the folks are awesome!! From the front desk welcome to the folks on the garage. Every one is very genuine, and fairly priced for the amount of work and the things they do above what is expected. My vehicles have always been done in a timely if not faster time frame. They are extremely knowledgeable of all things vehicle related.I always recommend lewis general tire to any one. How come I cant give more than 5 stars, they completely deserve it! For whatever reason I had always gone to Dunn Tire, I purchased 9 sets of tires through them from April 2008 through December of 2015. When I had a severe balance issue, they could not care less and treated me with complete ambivalence. I swore them off entirely, so far as to write a letter in 2017 about my experience that I never sent. Well maybe I should, because my experience with Lewis was 100% the opposite. Having never purchased tires from them, I called them up to help with an issue and they treated me with respect and dignity, took my issue seriously, got me in and out quickly, gave me an EXTREMELY fair price and I didnt even think of haggling with them: all with NO prior relationship. I cant even begin to imagine how they might treat their longstanding customers, perhaps they just know how to treat people the first time and every time! I will absolutely go back and have already sung their praises to a family member and a coworker. With several used cars in my personal fleet, I know I will always have need for general maintenance, and now I know where to turn without hesitation. I appreciate all their help, and I want to specifically give a shout out to Louie, THANK YOU!

This place is great. I wasnt aware of it before since I dont spend much time in the Henrietta area, but I ended up with a screw stuck in the sidewall of my tire and Lewis General Tires was the closest tire location to me. I stopped in and was there for 30 min. at the most. Very friendly employees, extremely fast service, and good prices. Highly recommended.

Very lucky to have a friendly and reasonably-priced mechanic right near home. I can always trust all of the employees here to be communicative, honest, and helpful. Im not super proficient with the technical details of cars, but everyone here, especially Louie, is always happy to explain exactly whats being done to my vehicle and how much it will cost beforehand. Customer service is often times sorely lacking when it comes to tire shops/mechanics, but Lewis General Tires is most definitely the exception there. Highly recommend.

Very busy. I didnt get a chance to have my vehicle serviced because the auto shop, no Max, didnt correctly make my appointment. The Lewis General Tire service manager was extremely apologetic and gave me an appointment for a week later.

Two weeks to install 4 tires! No thanks.

Always do the right thing for their customers, and are a pleasure to deal with. Will be hard to find a replacement if I ever leave Rochester. Stand up, honest business.

Lewis General has always been accommodating, any time Ive had work done there. Their prices have been competitive, the staff is friendly, the work is quick and (more importantly) great. Definitely recommended.

This winter I hit a curb with my car - I took my car to Lewis to have my wheel replaced (fair price & great job). THEN - Lewis informed me that I had done more than just aesthetic damage, and that I had damaged some parts underneath the car ($1000 more worth). They advised that I filed a claim with my insurance because it would be over a $500 deductible - I felt something was not right and went to my families trusted mechanic (proven over and over again to be honest) and he fixed all of the parts that Lewis said were broken for $485 + tax.The reason for the 2 stars is I feel they were trying to pull the wool, over my eyes just because I am a young adult.They did do a good job in replacing my tire, but pulled the typical mechanic move in trying to overcharge me nearly $500 for the other work that was needed.

Super fast & inexpensive. Got what I wanted done quickly & wasnt asked to buy anything else. Refreshingly easy!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating when assisting with swapping snow tires onto a set of rims...a small job for them Im sure, but they made me feel like a valued customer. Even came out in the snow to help unload and load from my vehicle without asking.The price for the swap was better than other competitors in Henrietta (P.B) that Ive used in the past. Will definitely be back here in the future.

Lewis general tire handles all of our fleet maintenance for my company and does a wonderful job. They are family owned and truly care about all of their customers. We have our personal family vehicles taken care of with them as well. The words that come to mind with this company are Reliable, Honest, and caring about your families safety and mine.

Always have good experiences here and feel they really try to work with me and not be quick to replace something if it really doesnt need it. Prices are fair (Ive had other places charge me double for the some of the same simple jobs that have been done here) and Ive never felt I was being talked into services I didnt need. Ive decided to stop getting free oil changes from my dealer and go here instead for that reason. Would recommend them to anyone :)

I think Ive been getting service at this garage for more than 15 years and I think very highly of them. The service has been great, appointments are easy to get within a reasonable time, the costs are reasonable, and most of all, I have appreciated the communication. Several of the staff know me pretty well at this point, and they are very helpful when I have questions. Other service providers have treated me like an idiot because I am a woman, but I have always had good interactions at Lewis. I made the mistake of getting a service contract at Dorschel in the past and basically got ripped off and treated badly a dozen different ways. I also had bad experiences at Bob Johnson when I had a Saturn. I think Ill take my fathers advice & avoid getting service through a dealership. Lewis has always been knowledgeable, efficient, and very fair in their pricing.I remain a loyal fan of Lewis. I have and will continue to recommend them with confidence.

These guys are top notch and are trustworthy. They never are trying to rip you off or sell you something you don’t need. In fact, they always try to save the customer as much money as possible by selling used tires when possible (in the case of replacing my flat tire). I will continue to come here for as long as I am in the Rochester area. Awesome place.

Im a college student in the area, and its the only place in Rochester that I would bring my car to. All work has been quick and well-done, and Ive felt confident that it was reasonably priced as well. I initially went there because they were the only tire place in the area who carried my strange tire size after I got a flat, and Im so happy I found them.

We were on vacation and blew out a tire on our RV. Not only did these guys help, they stayed open an extra couple hours to replace tires and went the extra mile and replaced all the valve stems as they were the wrong size. Rather than being treated like a bother at the end of a busy day, we were treated like family! I whole heartedly recommend Lewis General Tire!

All around an excellent experience with a great staff. First it was well after the store hours, I just happened to catch Chris as he was locking the doors. After asking if I had an emergency and checking my tire, he stayed to change it for me (4 hours after the posted store hours). The prices were very reasonable, Ive been to many other mechanics in the area and always feel they are just trying to get me to fix things so they can make a quick buck. This was not the case with Lewis, they have earned a happy new customer.

First wanted to THANK the staff from the front to the back for everything they did for me truly appreciate it. I came into General Tires to get a nail out and get it plugged up.As soon as I came in I was helped and greeted with a smile and directed to the right staff.Jared helped me right away even to the point where he let me walk out without paying the whole bill just my word that I would come back and a little info. A new experience. ALL GOOD. usually I get my work done at Firestone Complete, but needed a front end alignment on a Dodge dually. Firestone cant get a big truck on their alignment rack. They referred me to Lewis General. Am I glad they did. Not only was everyone there professionals but the job I needed was done perfectly. To top it off the prices are very reasonable. Their prices are very reasonable and they arent going to try to sell you something you dont really need. When it comes down to it, there is no other place I would like to have my car serviced by. I just wish I had known of them sooner. If you havent tried them yet, you will not be disappointed when you do.

A big thanks to Jared and the mechanic Shaw for taking care of my 2008 Chevy Impala. I was in and out in 30 minutes and the muffler was cut off and replaced within less than 10. I was surprisingly shocked. I did recognize the mechanic who used to work at Monro Muffler. I came here 2 years ago to get my car looked at (when I had a 2005 Nissan maxima) with the rusted out floor panels. Amazing fast service here at Lewis’s. I’d like to come here again but all of the appointments are booked on my days off.

Tire was going down on Thruway. Just made it to Lewis tire as it went flat. Service department fixed tire very quickly and put me back on the road.

Have been coming here for Years! found Lewis during college, moved away, came right back after we moved back to Rochester. They are straight shooters and have never steered us wrong. All the staff, Dick, Louie, Bob, Chris, etc are great - the shop is clean and the showroom is roomy and comfortable, not a bad place at all to wait if you have to. We will keep coming back for sure!

These guys are great. I called a few places before I checked the on-line reviews and these guys live up to their review. Most places I called in a bind were either not helpful or extremely expensive. Lewis gave me a quote within seconds & seemed to genuinely want to see my car fixed quickly. They took my car right in and while they did that I received tire quotes on two separate vehicles per my request. Not only were they fair prices but I was recommended tires that fit my needs and budget with out being sold something. The guys were friendly as well as the front office staff. If your one of those individuals that prefers to see your vehicle being worked on then dont worry, their car bays are all open to the waiting area. Ill give these guys the business on replacing both my girls friends tires as well as my own, solely because they do business the right way & take care of their customers.

Twice I had used them for tire repairs for TPM sesors and both times, the staff was friendly and helpful. The shop is always busy, which is a good sign. Very reasonable prices. I can tell that customer satisfaction was their culture. No upsell, no BS, just straight honest family owned business.

Called to make an appointment for a alignment on my Class C motorhome. Gentleman I spoke to was very nice, gave me a few things to check and try to make sure it truly needs an alignment. Showed on the day of my appointment to find out the alignment machine wont work on my RV (body design of the RV blocks the laser, a problem very specific to my make/model and floorplan of RV which is new 2018), it needs and extension to push the laser out further and they dont have it. Instead of leaving me hanging without a solution, the tech apologized and gave me the name of a shop that would have the equipment necessary.In most of my experiences, the shop would have told me they cant do it and send me on my way. The fact that the tech went out of his way to point me to a shop that can complete the work shows the pride in making customers happy (even though I had no charge).Because of this I will give them all my future business when the RV or our regular vehicles need tires.

These guys have definitely gone out of there way to help me out multiple time. One time I pulled into Lewis just to have my tires checked. They were in really bad shape and even though I didnt have an appointment they changed them right away for me so I could get back to work.

These fine folks do an amazing job on your car. I had a problematic VW and the level of care and commitment by the staff to get it fixed was above and beyond anything I would expect. They take the time to do the research, and explain everything theyre doing so that you understand their thought process and what is happening with your repairs. The service is prompt and affordable. They are also one of the only shops Ive come across that use Amsoil, which is the ONLY oil I use in any vehicle Ive owned. My only regret is that I now live in Austin, so I cant get service from them any longer. If youre looking for reliable mechanics you can come to again and again, look no further.

WHAT A JOKE! I trusted this place would know what they are doing based on the amount of awesome reviews they received but that was not what happened in my case. I brought my 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander in for breaks and alignment and I was informed by the mechanic that my power steering clamps were rusted and should be replaced. I authorized for them to go ahead and do it, pretty simple job and I didn’t want to get dirty doing it myself. Well after that I started havin. Issues with my power steering, something that had never happened before. Power steering fluid was leaking everywhere. I verified a clamp was not secured and was flopping around, I called them and they were happy to fix the issue for a fee of course. They also informed me that my power steering line was rusted and this was why the clamp wasn’t secured... funny they failed to mention that when they put new clamps on because what’s the purpose of putting the clamps on when they aren’t gong to do anything!? So I was charged a service fee for hours and parts to have the job “completed”, well here we are again a few weeks later and my power steering is still leaking... I give up, I’m not bringing my car back. These mehanics seem to be incompetent at the simple tasks and fail to understand how to full mend an issue. Sure others have had great experiences but that was not the result in my case, I’ll pay more at the dealer and I’ll likely have the issue resolved finally.

One of my tires was slowly losing pressure and I brought it in for a check. They quickly identified a rusted valve stem / pressure sensor as the problem, and upon my request, they installed a regular valve instead of a much more expensive OEM valve/sensor. Louie was very friendly and the mechanic appeared to be very knowledgeable when I further asked if a rusted sensor is a common problem. Not to mention the overall cost is only $2.70!I would totally recommend Lewis General Tires to a friend.
