This happened years ago but I remember this altercation often because of the extent of the situation. I would go to mr.tire exclusively for oil changes because my trusted mechanic was super booked all the time and figured this was a easy job anyone could do. However after getting an oil change I had to bring in my car to my mechanic and he showed me how mr tire stripped my oil pain, placed a unremovable butterfly plug and caulked around it. He said that is unethical and to go there and demand they replace my oil pan or try and fix it. So my boyfriend and I went back to this mr tire and they refused to fix it, they even belittled us saying we don’t know what we’re talking about and if my mechanic is so good why didn’t I just go there. The conversation felt very unprofessional. I asked why I was never notified there was an issue or told a butterfly plug was being placed, and they had no reasonable explanation. They even tried to tell me it’s a one winged butterfly plug so I could still drain oil in the future. I collected all of my previous information and called corporate at this point. After they sent someone to come look at my car they determined it was “my fault” when the last 3-4 times I got my oil changed was with mr.tire I was not taking that as an answer. I had to fight with these people for months who were condescending and knew they were in the wrong. They eventually gave me the money for a new oil pain which I had my mechanic replace and found that they did in fact lie and the butterfly plug was double winged. They even saved it to show me. by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with any company. Atleast own up to youre mistakes!!!

I had a flat tire today and got right in at this Mr. Tire location. I didn’t have to wait to get service. I had two rear tires replaced. Service was completed in under 30 min. Front desk attendant was courteous and helpful. Paid price comparative to anywhere else. Restroom was clean and open. Waiting room was comfortable and cool with a/c. Good experience and would recommend to anyone looking for tire service.

I made an appointment online for an inspection. I was confirmed via email for the appointment for an inspection (I realize the appointment request online must be confirmed, which it was). When I arrived for said appointment I was told the machine was broken and they didn’t know why they confirmed it. So basically I drove here for nothing.

Went to get an oil change they did not top off any of my fluids. No wind shield wiper fluid at all and refuse to add anti freeze. Refused my $15 off coupon claimed to have given me $10 off cost of oil change still came to $40!

Went there to fix a flat tire that had a nail in it and they said that they could not find the nail or any leak. I went home, found the nail in the tire, and could hear the air leaking out.

I went there for an alignment. Kenny and the guy with the VW - I forgot his name. Was something like Enos. They were awesome. The guy who was there when I picked it up the next day, (forgot his name too) equally as awesome. Will definitely be back. Car is running straight and true 👍

Ask for a specific tire have all 4 in store we will be seeing them this week

Customer service is over-the-top the guy you have in the front is an amazing person he did everything in his power to get the part i needed, but the auto parts store took way to long to bring the part, to the guy in the front desk thank you for your humor, you kept me from flipping my lid.You have a life time customer

I follow Kenny wherever he goes. By far one of the best overall mechanics in Rochester, NY. Honest, efficient, & genuine oh and reasonably priced.

I went to have my car checked over,Reshard greeted with a warm smile, mask on.He asked what my issues were and I said I heard a noise from my right front wheel.without hesitation he did paper work and put my car on lift.He followed CDC guidelines. To my amazement it. was a lose center hub cap on my alloy wheel.HE WAS HONEST, he could have charged any amount, but rather he said Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and sent me happily on my way. Reshard is honest and caring.Thank You for having a great person who cares.

Good so far.. Ended well. Got my car in and out.

Took my car in for an oil change and asked them to check everything and was told my car was fine. When I left my car was having problems it never had before. Called and was told to bring it back, which I did. I ended up having to get it towed there. When I got there, I was told it was my serpentine belt and they fixed it that issue and told me everything was fine. My car is still having lots of problems I wasn’t having prior to taking it there. Well today I called and was told by assistant manager Steve “I’m not looking at it, there’s nothing I can do about it because I’m done putting out fires for Kenny, hahaha he have to start solving his own problems he caused. I’m not doing it so you have to wait for Kenny”. Worst customer service EVER! It was as if he has a personal vendetta against Kenny and took it out on the customer (me).

If I could give 10 stars to this place I for sure would! Five stars isnt even enough for this Mr. Tire location. All the guys in here are TOTALLY AWESOME TOP NOTCH! Chris, Jim, and even the guy that does the welding for them when hes there. Their all great and professional over at this Mr. Tire. They all know their stuff about all kinds of vehicles and not out for just your money. Very honest people here. I will not go to any other Mr. Tire except this one. Thanks guys for all you do to our vehicles and great service.

Made appointment on line. Service provided on time and fast, no problems. Used the Mr Tire Card plus online coupons results in a great price. Recently remodeled Irondequoit store, looks great and is very clean. One thing I did notice, there were more coupons when I searched online with my cell phone.

Fleet car with a flat tire is a pain however Jeff was great and stuck to what he told me over the phone in addition to noticing that my inspection was up and even got that done to. Everything was done fast and right!!The place was spotless and looked like it was newly redone. I setup my laptop and worked right from there while my car was done.Thanks Jeff A++

This is the only mechanic I trust with my car in Rochester! The staff is very honest, quick, friendly, and knowledgeable. I don’t know a lot about cars, but I don’t feel like I’m being taken advantage of or being ripped off. I always have a great experience with the managers Jimmy and Chris, super down-to-earth and reliable guys. I would highly recommend!

Had a nail in my tire and went to Mr tire Jim was very nice and helpful I didnt have to wait long for service I eowou definitely be going back to Mr tire for more service!!

Great service!! When in last minute at noon and they were able to get me out before 4:30! I did ask for an oil change and inspection.

I paid over $700 to get new front shocks and struts for my car in march. Now in July the right side shock and strut is completely broken. Theres no way it should be broken after 4 months. And when I called to see if they would fix it for free I was told because they didnt purchase the part he is not responsible and would have to see the car first. Although I was told by staff to purchase the part because they couldnt get the part in. Seems odd that after I left the shop from getting it fixed my car started making a sound on the right side. I called and took it right back and they told me it was another part making the sound. I definitely wont be going back.

Ive had nothing but great experiences at Mr. Tire in Irondequoit! Its nice having a local repair shop where you can trust that youre getting a fair deal, and that your car is being fixed properly. Highly recommend Jim and his staff!

I had very alternator replaced for a reasonable price. Very friendly staff. They dont push services that arent needed. From this visit it seems that they pride themselves on good customer service and repeat clients vs. Getting every dollar they can.

Love this place! Always helpful, never try to tell me I need more repairs than necessary. But I know my van is in great hands! Definitely recommend!

Chris Engle was amazing! He explained why I was hearing a clanking sound and what it needed to fix it. His maintenance service was great and even though he was busy he took time to explain everything without making me feel like I was being rushed. It was quicker than I expected all in all. I was also very impressed with the cleaniness of their restroom, I have been to auto shops where looking at the bathroom alone made you want to run out the door as fast as you can. I would highly recommend Mr. Tire to anyone!

Under the new management I wash pushed out with an on the job injury and the new district manager was even nice enough to bring my tools home for me, I dont suggest anyone that knows me goes to this company Mr tire / Monroe incfor any more work or service as they dont know how to treat their employees with any respect I wouldnt expect you as a customer paying good money to get anything better! Installed the tires on my car incorrectly. Would have led to a tire blow out had I not noticed/heard the tire rubbing on the strut. Struggling to get the company to refund the cost of the damaged tire. Go elsewhere if possible.

Great place to buy tires

This was my first and last time coming to this location. I usually get my car serviced at the Dewey Ave location which I love. Days prior I made an appointment for 4 pm and my car did not make it back until after 5 pm. The only thing I was getting done was an oil change which I have never had to be anywhere for more than 30 minutes to get done. They didnt finish with my car until 5:40 pm! Whoever had to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes for an oil change?!?! And the waiting area was cold to top it all off.

Wonderful staff. Best repair shop experiences I’ve ever had. I love the job they do.

Great service! My girlfriend was out of town on business and all of the sudden her car was making a weird noise. She brought it to a few shops but they could not figure it out. When She came back from her trip I brought it to Kost on east ridge rd. The mechanic Bradley figured out the problem in just a few minutes and was very nice to us. Its hard to find a shop with a knowledgeable mechanic like him.THANK YOU!

My most recent visit I needed tires for my travel trailer in a hurry, like same day hurry. The manager/service writer was able to get tires I needed same day. I brought him the the old tires on the rims in sets of two and I was able to feel safe taking my trailer and my family two states away and not worrying about a tire failure.

I have used them multiple times and they have always helped me find the least expensive option even if it means ordering a part through someone else!

Have always had a great experience here. The employees are nice and personable and my services are always completed in a timely fashion. My car likes these guys.

Just got off the phone with the rudest person Ive ever dealt with in customer service. Just tried to get an oil change. Mother just had a stroke out of town(also explained), so I didnt want to jump on the road needing one. Was told the guy that does oil changes was just finishing up and wasnt taking anymore jobs. But youre posted on the net as being open til 7pm I replied. My tech had been busy today, and Im not going to work him to death. Mr. Tire, 1480 E.Ridge Rd. I went to Mr. Tire for a suspension problem and,they found the problem. It was corrosion of my rear crossmember bar. But Jim noticed that part was on recall, which saved me a lot of money and worry. I just want to thank Jim and Mr. Tire for the honest help!!

Respectable shop unlike any other I been in in years,true service with a smile. Educated staff and on sold me what I needed.

The first time I went to them, I stood at the counter waiting 10 minutes for someone to address me (everyone was in the garage). Nobody came. The second time I went to them, I asked for a tire change and a rotation and the tires (which are attached to old and scuffed up hubcaps) were in the same exact position. Im certain they were never rotated. I also, during that same visit, heard the very loud man who waited on customers address people over the phone quite rudely. Im not sure whats happening here, but it isnt good from start to finish.

Best repair shop i have been in several years. Great service always. Can trust then.

Tried to upsell me by $800 on a tire/brake job after two phone calls to verify the cost. Charged me $160 labor on changing brake pads (est. range is $92-$118 on repairpal). Charged me $200 for brake pads that cost $95 at Advance (for the same part number invoiced). Did not add the road hazard protection I requested on the phone. Went back to discuss the matter after I ran over a nail and their tech dropped my alloy rim on its face, scratching it. I decided to cut my losses at this point and will not be going back.

Great customer service. Went fot an oil change and was in and out in no time. Friendly and convenient.

We had an appointment for wheel alignment and the guys performed filter & oil change by mistake. Even though it was on the computer that we wanted just alignment. They put the wrong oil in our car, they were quick to correct their mistake and refund us for $20However I dont recommend the place after what happened. The oil was never replaced for the right one, I pray the car doesnt give us problems.

Im always skeptical about shops but I cant complain. I saw how they worked with other customers and myself. They took their time but still in a timely manner and showed myself what was wrong and what they would do to solve the problem. Very pleased.

I dropped my truck off for oil change and tire rotation. When i picked it up I asked if the tires had been rotated and they said yes. Well, they must think I am a complete idiot because with the snow and salt on the roads, my rims are dirty. There is not one mark or scuff on the rim from them rotating my tires. They completely lied. I called back and the store manager said that I can bring it back and theyll rotate them. What a complete waste of my f****** time. Now i am wondering if my oil got changed. DO NOT GO TO THESE HACKS. They lie right to your face......

I called Jim after hours with a flat tire. Jim came to where I was, faster than my roadside assistants, put my donut on and took me to the shop after it was closed to get me a new tire. This was amazing service as I am a Lyft and uber driver this could of effected my livelihood. I am truly grateful. Best service in Rochester, Ny.

I was charged 80 in 2018 for front pads, when I came in on 3/5/19 I was told by the manager that my rear pads would be 179 if I needed rotors it would cost me 350. that is high way robbery, how could that be, I will never bring any of my cars there every again and I wouldnt recommend any of my friends there. I have been coming there for years, but Im done with Mr.Tire, I will take my service else where from now on,
