I never knew there were still full service gas stations! Amazing people and service

Very pleasant, kind, and helpful group of people. My delivery truck broke down in their parking lot. The owner let me borrow some of his personal tools so I could wrench on it myself. When a second problem arose that I wasnt able to take care of they offered to work on it the next day even though the truck wouldnt fit inside their shop. They had it fixed in two days for a price I thought was plenty fair all things considered.

Though they couldnt fix our particular problem, they helped us get our trailer temporarily back on the road and put us in contact with someone who was able to help us. Very courteous!

These guys are absolutely amazing. VERY respectful. Had trouble with our car and brought it in. They offered us a ride home since it was our only car. Such amazing people! They got back to us in less than a day, timeley fashion and didnt over charge like Midas!!

I needed air in my tire immediately and I pulled into the shop bright and early. The employee was more than friendly and willing to fill my tire up. A few days later I needed new tires. They gave me a very competitive price and were very accommodating and quick as I needed to get the new tires put on during my lunch break. Everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable. I will be giving them my business for now on.

I pulled in since I needed gas, had 2 kids in car, a frigid Rochester day, and they offer full service. The representative noticed a large nail sticking out of one of my tires. He immediately offered to patch it and I was on my way in under 30 minutes. Folks here are incredibly attentive, nice, and helpful and prevented me from a nasty tire blow out. Will definitely come back.

They are the best. They have fixed many a flat tire, and plenty of other things. Always quick and super pleasant.

On the coldest sub-zero day of the year, I left Bowens feeling warm and uplifted. The staff at Bowens is very pleasant and happy to help, never causing one to feel they are a burden, even when its freezing or raining outside. In particular, one employee, Matthew, went above and beyond to take care of my auto needs, and all with a smile and positive attitude. The owner, Mark, is always available to explain and provide good advice I highly recommend this station.

Great service. Ive had cars for about 23 years and so have dealt with dozens of service stations. The attitude of the staff at Bowens Sunoco is very good. Ive pulled in at all hours for various things and always receive professional and friendly service. I live only a few blocks away and so have dropped off both cars for various service in the past two years that Ive lived here and have been completely satisfied with the results.

I cant say enough good things about Bowens Sunoco. The brakes locked up on my work truck on a Friday night so I had it towed to Bowens and they had it done Saturday afternoon. They went beyond just checking the main problem and when they checked the other brake pads, they found they may not have been installed properly. I wasnt even charged for the extra shop time it took for the extra work since they had already quoted me a price. They also came in early because they knew I needed it back ASAP to get back to work. The mechanic was very helpful and explained everything they worked on so I understood clearly.

BE WARNED. I have had multiple bad experiences here out of necessity. The owner likes to lie about and not disclose costs. The first time I came here I was told they could get me in right away. My car did not get seen for over a week. The second time my leather steering wheel came back with many small cuts in it, and seeds from an everything bagel all over the center console. The third time, I asked for 3 simple things to be checked visually, and they tried to charge me 2 hours labor for just that after they performed multiple extra inspection steps I did not ask for. I had to call the owner and remind him of the law to have my labor hours adjusted. If you come here, ask for a WRITTEN estimate, and do not pay for any work you didnt ask for.

Im visiting Rochester for a wedding and my engine started misfiring on the drive in. I brought it here to diagnose and repair the problem and they took great care of my car quickly. Honest, quick, good and reasonably priced. And bonus points because the really nice lady who works here gave $4.29 in free gas to the guy who had just 71 cents to get to Henrietta

I have a 2005 Saturn ion and they always fix what ails it--and cheerfully.

I discovered a nail in my tire on a Sunday I was supposed to drive back home to Pennsylvania. I had a tough time finding someone to patch the tire but I called and they told me to come right in and my tire was patched right away so I could get on the road. I was extremely thankful and could not recommend Bowens more.

Like so many others, Im amazed at the extrodinary honesty and helpfulness of the owner, Mark Bowen. Ive had so many great experiences that Ill drive out of my way just to buy gas here and support them. 5*

Cant say enough about Marks customer service! My daughters alternator failed on I-90 outside Rochester on her way to Ohio, leaving her stranded at 7pm (450 miles away from home)...but after a AAA tow, Mark was able to get her back on the road that night by 11pm. His staff even dropped her and her friend off at (and picked them up from) the movie theater while the alternator was replaced! All work was completed professionally, and at a fair price too!! Thanks Mark, and thanks Bowens Sunoco!

I dont like putting gas during the winter and when I go to this gas station they clean my window and are grateful for the tip... while some other places they dont clean window and they expect GREAT tips regardless.

I broke down in my RV and it was towed to Marks place. The guy had me between a rock and a hard place because I needed to replace my motor. Very expensive job and I feel I was very fortune to break down where I did. Mark did his best to keep the price with in my budget. I want to thank him for the excellentservice and professional service he provided me.

On a Saturday evening this past May, I was making my way from Montreal to Lockport, NY, on I-90 when the tire of my car flew off (recent tire change wasnt performed properly). [Side note: Fortunately, no one around me was hurt (tire flew across the median and onto the other side of the highway, but there was no oncoming traffic at that moment). I was able to keep control of the car and guide it over to the breakdown lane where it eventually came to a stop.] The tow truck company made some calls to try to find a place that was open on Sundays, so thats how I ended up at Bowens Sunoco. They were kind and reassuring when I arrived, as I was still a little shaken. I came back on Sunday, and they explained the damage, what repairs would be needed, and reassured me that they would do a full review of the car before putting me back on the road. As soon as they had the parts they needed, they prioritized the car on Monday morning so that I could get back to Montreal as soon as possible. More importantly, they showed me exactly what they were fixing and made me feel comfortable about getting back in the car. And the cost was reasonable. I am very grateful that my car ended up at Bowens Sunoco.

This man is a criminal. Do not trust him. I had 4 mechanics look at his work they all said he was a crook. Including one that was a former employee.

Earlier today I dropped off my car for a NYS inspection and had a terrible experience. My wife and I have been a regular customer for gas for the last 6 years. I typically get my car serviced by my uncle who is a mechanic but my inspection was expired and they are right down the street and I thought i could trust them. I got a call from one of the mechanics stating that everything was good except i had a tear in one of my wiper blades and they could change out both for $50. The problem with that is I just got both replaced last week so I told him I had a warranty and they would exchange them out for me for free. He tried to tell me that he worked at the place that I got them installed and they dont have a warranty which I know they do. I told him pleas do not replace them. I came in and looked at my wiper and it was not torn, it appeared as if someone pulled out the blade at the end of one of them. I told the owner and he said he didnt work on the car, I told him I would just slip it back in but he insisted on doing it himself. They brought my car back in and passed the inspection. Then I saw that one of the mechanics drew a picture of a teddy bear with a frown face I didnt say anything when I saw it. Then I got into my car and went right to my dashboard glove box and saw that 2-delta sonic gift cards were taken. I had just put them in the car prior to going there and I considered taking them out but didnt bc i thoigjt i coild trust them. I got out of my car and spoke with the owner and everything. The mechanic who worked on my car hurried back to the back room before coming out to talk to me. I explained everything and he acknowledged everything and told the mechanic not to draw anymore and just dismissed everything. Dont EVER go here, very untrust worthy! I am very disappointed

Started stopping here after over a decade of shopping at Hess/Speedway. Too bad Mark Walton proprietor just installed the very same idiotic gas pumps that subject you to ads. Sorry Mark, not buying gas and paying to have ads blasted at me. Ive been a weekly customer for a little less than a year but Im going elsewhere now.
