Almost 4 stars. Shelves were better stocked than my last visit. Produce was fresh. Pumpkins were reduced to $1!! Yay! Thank you, Walmart. Lines were very long, with only 2 cashiers available. I appreciated that the cashier had such a sweet and positive personality. I think her name was Tatiana. The work situation didn’t dampen her smile, even though she was also tasked with training the young man that bagged groceries. He was so concerned about getting everything right, and she had a calming affect on him and those waiting. It had been a long week for me and two young people who genuinely loved working and making customers happy was so refreshing. God bless them. ❤️Oh, and they had Fritos Honey BBQ twists. I’ve been unable to find those for a long time, due to the issues with truck deliveries.

I find myself going here often, sometimes the experience is less than good but this was a really great trip! The cashiers were super friendly, it was clean and i had trouble finding an item and i was met with the most helpful, friendly and nice worker! It made my experience that much better!

My cashier lady was amazing. Wish I got her name. Spanish speaking lady w/Glasses. Thank you so much. We need more workers like you. Over all the store itself was nice to shop in.

There are over a dozen employees literally just walking Around when there are only 3 lines open and at least Seven people waiting at each line. Why are the registers and self checkout closed so early. This is ridiculous. I only have one item to buy and I’m at express behind a lady with a full cart.

I live on the other side of town but I drove all the way across town to Walmart I really enjoy that store

The selection is good of course because its a multinational corporation, so no points or stars for that. This is the location everybody says theyd rather not visit. Its what they call the ghetto Walmart. Plus theres frequently only a couple of registers open and no self checkout available. So better Walmart!😒😏

I normally dont shop at Walmart because I like to support local businesses and I know that theres some debate about how much tax their corporation pays but I got to say oil change Bay is absolutely awesome the people were so nice and helpful and I got in to get my oil changed and out within an hour for well under any other competitors price I can say with certainty that I will be back here to get oil changed once again

As Warts go, this one is average. The did refuse to double my bags up so as I live in a three story walk up, of courser the paper bags ripped! This was manager choice and not a company choice so Im only deducting two stars..

Hudson Ave Walmart is always consistent, consistently a horrible experience. The store has nearly 30 register lanes and it always seems that they only ever have 4 Lanes open. Oh and did I mention that those 4 Lanes are likely to get award winningly slow.... Decent selection though.

I absolutely hate the Walmart on Hudson Avenue in Rochester it’s disgusting it’s more than a horrible experience every time I’ve went from 2020 to 2021 currently more registers are closed verses open the lines are superlong the staff is not very helpful when I’m looking for something and when I call customer service and they connect me to any department it’s very often that I am put on hold for no one to return. I found molded strawberries and bell peppers numerous of times I can never catch it clean it’s just overall a horrible experience every time I do not care to shop here anymore

Workers dont have communication skills with english speaking customers I know Im Spanish myself Walmart I more like the hood

This store was absolutely filthy. Were talking about half a year of grime. The Market Manager, District Manager and GM for this Walmart should all be fired. Something is seriously wrong with the Walmarts in Rochester... both the Marketplace location and this one are, by far, the dirtiest Walmarts that Ive ever seen.

Lines to long customer were buying everything no mass on there faces and a lot of ghetto behavior going on in the store and not with the customers but the staff employees on there phone never want to help you and there favored thats no my department in assisting you Drive a further if you can. I support the city however sometimes its way to MUCH.

Its a cool place to shop but the lines can get really long because the place is always so busy. Items for the most part are easy to find. Inventory could be better. Restrooms are clean, customers service is okay. Customer engagement could be better.

This is a very difficult place to review. It’s honestly five stars for the prices and variety of things you can get here. Anything you need one stop one shop it’s all here. But the moment you need customer service Walmart gets -3 stars. Especially in the electronics department. If you need something unlocked expect to wait 15 to 20 minutes to find a person that is free to help you get what you want.

The Walmart Supercenters are the best theyre clean spacious the only problem I have is just getting adjusted to the store and not knowing where everything is but you was on figure it out they have restaurants on the inside of them handicap parking spacious and clean bathrooms and plenty of groceries.

HORRIBLE! A crazy Walmart Associate was parked in a handicapped spot with no tag or placard. I learned that this Walmart encourages people to break the law! Even the Walmart Security believes that laws dont apply to Walmart! So if anyone ever gets caught shoplifting, make sure to point out that you are on private property so they dont follow any laws and have to let you go WITH what ever you wanted to take! So enjoy everyone! No one is allowed to pick and choose which laws to follow!

Please put the benches back in the pharmacy, back of store bathroom area, inside around vending machine area and outside of store for those who are disabled to rest between walking around the store. I believe they were taken out when Covid started. I shopped this particular Walmart for many years and will not go in the evenings. I shop when the store first opens(6-7am). I avoid the store a few days after the first of the month because the shelves are bare and you only get the leftovers. I wait until they stock up on the grocery items.

Lines were horribly long we left without purchase. However the store was clean organized whoever runs the front end needs more training no express lane only three registers open and 100 customer trying to cash out....HORRIBLE

I drove to the store to get two network switches that showed an abundant quantity in stock. When I got there, there were none on the shelf and when I asked for assistance, the associate glanced over at the shelf and then said if theyre not there then we dont have them. And went back to his conversation with other coworkers.I then went home and ordered them online for in-store pickup (at the same store) at 10:00 p.m. last night and had an email in my inbox by 8:00 a.m. that they are ready for pickup.Im all set with Walmart until they want to invest in their staff a little bit.

I love going to WAHLMART..E ridge rd..and WEBSTER..ROCHESTER NYSTAFF IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME.

I honestly dont like this store due to not having enough registers open especially during rush hour there lines go almost to the back of the store. The other issue I have had alot recently is the pharmacy check out they have been trying to refuse to cash out everything I have gotten along with my grandfathers insulin needles and I shouldnt have to deal with that I could understand if I had stuff that wasnt in the pharmacy area.

This walmart on hudson avenue is the most horrible walmart I have ever seen in a long time.They have to be No 1#. when it comes to supermarkets running their cashier lines.And also, why cant they have self check out machines like the rest of the other walmarts in the regions?

Produce has mold, laundry pods were taken out of containers and reduced to about 10 pods in a container, no self checkout, noticed staff just hanging out not working, floors sticky and not swept or mopped, carts in disarray, Shainaliz (the cashier) was the most professional when it came to organization and cashing out for that I thank you!

Very bad service in electronics and waited for a cell phone employee for 45 min before calling for a me.Go both o us to find our he went home over an hour before his shift ended

If youre looking to be in and out the store quick this is not the Walmart for you.this Walmart does not have self checkout plus short on cashiers most the time.it has the selection of new products.never enough employees.

Terrible customer service with employees that do not know locations of products and product information when asking. Not enough lines open for folks that do not like self checkout. I nowvwill avoid this place when I can. I will pay more for better service. You do get what you pay for.

They seem to never have strawberry Ensure. Every time I go there theyre out of it. There are so many people on the floor that work for Walmart but it seems that things are not stocked on the shelf. Is it that the suppliers are not supplying Walmart with what they need or is it that the workers at Walmart are lazy and unproductive? Asking for a friend.

I was in here on a Tuesday evening. First, it took forever to get ahold of someone with a key to buy something out of a locked case. Secondly, I went up tobthe registers 35 minutes before closing. They had two cashiers open. I walked out a fee mi uses Aftwr 11 and there were people behind me in line. What gets me most is that there Were other employees around. Including at least one manager. Ive worked retail. As a manager. You jump on another register and help. Even if that means you have to re-open it. Really, the better answer is to not close all but two. This is used so the employees can get out faster. But - if you are busy, can you really? Seems doubtful.

This is the closest walmart to my house in the city, but I generally avoid going here. This store is usually very dirty and the employees arent as kind or willing to help as they are in the surrounding rochester locations. I would really like to see this store better taken care of.

There are very few lines open and supplies are very few, with prices going up, it is not only hard tp get things, at times you have to wait at least 1/2 hr. To cash out.

Terrible...what may be the WORST Walmart in the entire country! (Hudson Avenue, Rochester location) They NEVER have the checkouts staffed appropriately. It takes forever to get out of the place whether you have a cart full or two items. Highly recommend NOT going.

Not enough staff. Every time I go there it is poorly manage. 10 people deep in every line they have open. Which is half the lines they have. 20 minutes to check out as well. No way u can just pop in for something quick and leave. It stinks because it right near my work and love the accessibility to it. Just wouldnt go because of the wait.

Consistent long long long lines. This Walmart is plauged with low levels of customer service. Ask an employee for help and they may respond its not there department or I dont know. I have left messages as a concerned share holder and management doesnt respond. Consider shopping another location for a world of difference. This review will likely land on deff ears.

I absolutely can not stand this Walmart! I was in line longer than I shopped. Two cash registers open at noon. Its bad enough its so hood in there, the least you could do is help in shortening the time one has to spend inside. Cross train staff so thats at noon when its starting to be packed and the line to the register is at the mid to back of the store, customers arent seeing staff who could be at registers, just push a dust mop! If I could give you negative stars I would! Thank you for holding me for an hour for 5 items.

Over the phone they said they had winter tires is my size so I made an appointment to get new tires. When I got their they had all season tires but no winter tires... I did pick up some cranberries while I was there, they were fine.

A customer with more than fifty items held us all up who were in the speedy express less than 20 items. We were all patient but the cashier so not have waited on that customer.

I absolutely despise this particular Walmart location. Things are always out of stock, misplaced, or have the wrong pricing. The lines are all ways really long, and there are no self checkouts. The only good time to shop here is when the store first opens at 7am (in the past this has been foolproof, however my last two trips proved this to be untrue because only a single register was open), so visit at your own risk.

I used to drive from Syracuse NY area to your Hudson Ave store to buy Florida water cologne along with many Goya products which could be found there or back home in NYC. Now your website says you dont carry Florida water in-store anymore? Wish you still did, cause Id continue doing the 3hr round trip for it.

I love this place because it has everything you need. It has things from bikes to gift cards. They even provide hand sanitizer at masks at the front! Loved shopping here!

Hey, its a zoo anywhere if youre going to venture out in person right now. But, Im pretty impressed that theyre keeping this store as well stocked as they are, & as clean as it is. Sure its not perfect, but its messy out there, & too many people are going out in person. For too long. So if u need to go out. Try having a list, & if u must have a Cool looking mask, wear a plain blue medical style one underneath, for your sake, as well as others. Ok. Have a safe & Happy Holiday season to All. Please
