We went out of our way to check out this store and were about to walk in when we saw a sign on the door- You must wear a mask, vaccinated or not. No masks with us equals time wasted, and time is precious.
The NTY in Pittsford is wonderful. A very accepting environment, an inclusive staff, a chic selection of luxury stuff, or more down-to-earth styles too. The owner is a caring and kind woman! She does a lot of good for local communities, and really has helped so many... She has a very charitable heart! Id recommend supporting here if youre trying to save money buying clothes or just want to support a local place with awesome employees!
I took four bins of clothing and a garbage bag full of shoes and got offered $18. Mind you they bought a whole tote of my clothes, and shoes. That’s basically getting not even $2 an item. If I had the time I know I would have been able to sell the items on marketplace for 4x as much, if not more.
It is impossible to shop with this place. They post items on their social media and never respond. It’s exhausting.
Overpriced but decent items.
This clothing exchange just like many others in our area who will purchase designer cuts for either store credit or cash free to spend on the things that youd like to buy when their gently used and their life is over with you they find a new life in a new home with a new person love it
I have been a customer with NTY since they opened; never had any issues. Today, during a recent visit, I had an encounter with a rude employee. I was on my phone, having a conversation with a family member, I mentioned that the girls(employees) werent observing the social distancing recommendation and that I would move to another aisle to keep my distance; so that they could finish their work🤔🤔🤔. An employee overheard my conversation; before I had the chance to finish my sentence, the rude employee interrupted my phone conversation by projecting her voice over mine to set the record straight. I dont have any tolerance for rude individuals, so I made reference that I will follow up with Julia, the owner. The employee, eagerly called Julia to let her know that there was an incident that took place( dramatic) in the store, all while failing to mention her indiscipline and delinquencies. Talking to Julia was worse than having the encounter with her employee, Julia refused to acknowledge the employees indecent behavior and downplayed my concerns. I will not return to this store again. I will take my money elsewhere.
I am A Muslim woman, and was referred to this location. There were no other customers in the store...I waited patiently for about twenty minutes. there were two employees joking and laughing as if there were no customers in the shop. the Islamic community referred me here as well as the largest Islamic mosque, being that I have very little money for modest clothing. The employees were rude and antagonistic. forgive me, but the owner should care about their customers as much as they do their employees. I wish luck during times where most people can not go back to work during Covid-19.
Brought my designer items in and they didn’t want most of it and the items they did want, what they offered was insulting even for consignment standards. Rude girls that work there. Clothes are all from Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe...don’t waste your time here. I also find it funny that every reply posted by the store is boiler plate. Somebody at the store is just cutting and pasting and obviously couldn’t care less about customer sentiments.
Really like this store! Very cute setup and I was able to find nice items from high quality brands for a fraction of the price! :)
I really wanted to love this store but the return policy is 3 days! Then to top it off when I made my return for store credit, the sales lady was so rude and and told me the only way I could make the exchange was if each item I returned was the exact amount of the newly picked item. This is after I had already found the items I wanted. Thank god after overhearing how this girl was treating me another associate came over and explained to her that it was fine as long as the total amount was the same. It was a nightmare. I don’t think I’ll be back. The second associate with purple hair was lovely but overall a terrible experience. That is how you lose customers.
The young ladies that work here are clueless with styles, brands, and value. I no longer spend my time shopping here, as stores with brand new clothing are more decently priced than this overpriced Goodwill.
Would not take any of my clothes. I called ahead of time to ask for brands and styles they were looking for and most of what I brought in fit the description and they were also in really good condition. I had read many bad reviews but I thought I would give them a try. The reviews were all spot on. The two people working were also not helpful, quite rude...I believe one of them was the owner. Everything seemed over priced. I would not recommend this place!
Monday Night Pick up @ NTYI gave this business owner a second chance and unfortunatley it is goodbye forever. You decide. So I walked in and it was announced to me that just so I am aware the store would close in 30 minutes. If I did not have to pick up some items that I left the day before I would have walked out. I guess this is how its done no customer service and at 7.30 she may have wanted to go home. I get it I am in the service industry as well but Im old school respect and customer service. It is pretty simple. Goodbye Clothes Mentor and NTY.
If you love to shop and gamble for items of clothing, by all means shop here!!! This store is full of false advertisement! Sadly they advertise merchandise on social media that is already sold in-store. I inquired about a Gucci bag last night and was instructed to call in the morning and make the purchase over the phone. I called promptly at 10am to Clothes Mentor and the bag was sold the night before. The same situation happened to my coworker a couple months before. Thanks for nothing. Blamed it on miscommunication and was not apologetic, one so ever!!!
Extremely rude customer service, and false advertisement. Their website claims they take Hollister, American Eagle, etc. and when they seen them they laughed and said they would NEVER take Hollister or American Eagle or anything like that. Even pulled their site up where it says they “love” those brands and they still laughed and said no way would they ever.
If you are a person of color, do not go here. They will not take your items for consignment, even if they are namebrand and in the category of what they are looking for. Ive tried doing business with them twice and was given a pass. You are better off donating your items to the Blue Boutique down the street across from Pittsford Plaza.
Really nice selection of mid to high end clothes and at really decent prices--better than Platos Closet or Clothes Mentor. Its geared towards younger adults/teenagers, so just be mindful of that.
Tried to sell my clothes here twice and they would not take anything. All were in good condition and name brand items. I even brought in Lily Pulitzer shorts and they claimed there was a stain on the inside when there was none. When I said that the shorts had never been worn they said “well somebody has worn them.” Extremely rude customer service. Also very confused as to why they will take Forever 21 shirts but not Madewell/Abercrombie/Kendall&Kylie? Extremely disappointed in this place and would not recommend.
I was told that a pair of shoes would be put on hold for me, and then they were sold immediately. They are unreliable. I would not recommend shopping or selling your close to a company who will not be fully honest with you. I used to highly recommend them but even being someone who spent a lot of money they’re I still got lied and cheated out of a pair of shoes I wanted. Also when I bought a bag online it had marks on the bottom because they were not honest. I recommend Poshmark. They will give you much more for your clothing.
Amazing customer service and the selection huge, cant beat the prices... on my last visit I got a $38 shirt for $8!!
Awesome store, fantastic associates.
This place has the best name brand styles for a great deal vs the other consignment shops
Girlfriend loved this place, found several great deals she’s thrilled with. Will be coming back soon I’m sure.
Fun store! Cure clothes, shoes, purses. Worth a stop!
Great selection of name brands, for women. I miss the men’s clothing section though!
Absolutely amazing I picked up a pair of Micheal korr boots and handbag, they also have Louis vittion handbags, I will be returning.
Is there ZERO Stars?? This store seems to be more preoccupied with how it APPEARS on social media etc...than actually providing a decent customer service interaction or quality product. Awful Awful Awful. The woman who works the counter is too busy taking selfies and talking on her phone to provide any sort of customer service. Any question I asked received rolled eyes and an attitude. I wasnt expecting a TJ Mazz experience but I got one. Worst part, I was looking for a vintage gift for my Grandma, a hand bag or blouse for upcoming Mothers Day, and received ZERO help.
Not open
Great brand name clothing and shoes for less expensive price.
The dresses here are amazing and not overly priced
The store has a vast array of different 20 to 30 somethings clothing... All mainly designer based.
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Over priced I can find the same things new for the same price as Marshalls/th maxx
Really great finds here.
Cute shop, mostly high quality clothes at discounted prices but a few items seem overpriced.
Good deals!
UNBELIEVABLE Deals!
Way overpriced
Mid-priced clean and small second-hand shops are mostly girls clothing, but also LV bags, various shoes, just to try your luck to see if there is your size.
