In my opinion Dr. Kornfeld is taking advantage of senior citizens who are hoping for a miracle to improve their eyesight by providing telescopic lenses that are hard for anyone to adjust to. At the cost of $2500 and non refundable no matter what is definately not an acceptable business practice. Dr. Korfeld sold a pair to my elderly mother promising that they would improve her driving skills. These are too heavy and I swear there is no perscribed lenses built in. I personally tried the glasses on and they did not make any difference whatsoever. When contacted to discuss a possible restock/refunding fee on behalf of my mom his response was well you must have terrible eyesight really this is not acceptable. Hence he was not even able to provide me with the correct vision numbers I asked that he received on my mother during his examination process. Never took the time to even walk around with my mom for any type of training on them. They use a laboratory out of New York City that they are unwilling to provide you with the name of so you are not able to contact them to see what prescription was provided to them. BEWARE do not pay $2500 hoping these telescopic lenses will assist you with your eyesight. If I didnt live in another State I would of been there with my mom when she inquired about them but I was not. After paying in full 50% at time of purchase and the additional 50% at pickup he then send a bill for an additional $38. He has a part time secretary that only works like once a week so it is very difficult to contact them and discuss anything.

Dr. Kornfeld has been taking care of my eyes for over fourteen years! He has been nothing short of empathetic, caring, and knowledgeable. My entire family chooses him as their optometrist. Highly recommend!

Dr. George Kornfeld is a true gift. My mother suffers from severe macular degeneration. When we met with Dr. Kornfeld, we instantly were so impressed by his compassion, dedication, patience and expertise. The doctor prescribed telescopic glasses for television and prismatic reading glasses for her. He has improved my mothers quality of life 100%.. Television, computer games, crossword puzzles are once again apart of her life. She is able to read recipes and bake again which has always been her passion to share with her family. She is thriving once again with independence. Thank you Dr. Kornfeld from the bottom of my heart for bringing joy back into my mothers life.
