The grocery store with so much more. Grocery chain offering goods, service and friendly staff. One of the most outstanding departments is their meat market with higher quality and hand selected product. Everything fresh from brats to burgers, ribeye to roast, pork chops to pork loin, tuna steaks to tilapia, crab cakes to catfish, chicken breasts to chicken brats. Even live lobsters. Bakery, deli, dairy, pharmacy and health care clinic, frozen and a speciality section offering organic and healthy alternatives. A fair size produce section offering a nice selection of farm fresh picking of greens and everything in between. Don’t forget to say “hi” to Matt. Deli offering burgers and breakfast and a slew of other eating options as one can select from the Hickory House offering comfort foods, Asian and Italian. Pick up and eat in. Even a full option bar. Overall store is clean and bright offering a line of name and store brands. Aisles do seem to be a bit narrow and traffic jams common. Sales and specials are your best options as prices seem to be a higher than other discount giants.

Extremely friendly people here. BTW, best kept secret in Rochester must be the MEAT COUNTER AND SUSHI BAR AREA. The Meat Counter has exceptionally interesting creations of ready to grill beef, chicken and other meats. Beautifully arranged and very tempting display. Check it out. There was a guy there who was very proud of his work and contributions to the excellent offerings. Just go look at it and be prepared to be amazed.

I am not used to Hyvee so it was a new experience to shop here. It seems to be a nicely stocked store with a good selection of fresh, frozen etc. The worker in the meat department helped me find the chicken breast I needed. Produce worker was very nice and friendly and pointed out the fresh ginger I was looking for. The store seemed clean and well-maintained and adequately staffed.

Hy-Vee has always been consistently a great store to shop at. Plenty of choice, and always asked several times throughout the store by multiple employees if they can assist at all. There really isnt another group store worth my time & money.

Good food but not hot from the Chinese serving area today. We were there about 2 pm.First time I have had food not at proper temp there. Otherwise, great value & tasty as always.

This review regards Hy-Vee pick ups and door dash pick ups. If I could leave a -5 star review I would. They always take more than 30 minutes and most the time they come out and tell you that the order needs to be dropped because it’ll be a couple hour wait. This messes up our delivery stats and overall affects our work & reliability ratings. No other Hy-Vee in town has this problem. I won’t fail to mention how rude the workers can be when assisting us. Some of them even make us help them load (which I don’t mind) but it’s they’re job to do that. I’m not getting paid by Hy-Vee to do they’re job. I can’t explain how frustrated I am with how terrible this Hy-Vee is. It’s unprofessional & a complete disaster. You lost my business. Hope you guys get shut down. -5 stars, worst business in town by far.

Ive finally reached my breaking point with this store. I run deliveries with Doordash. When I first started back in March I quickly blacklisted this Hyvee due to absurd wait times for Doordash orders. Some even surpassing an hour. It has been 7 months and they have not improved. They have gone as far as telling Dashers to cancel orders. This is unprofessional and disrespectful. There are three other hyvees in this town and none of them have this issue.

HyVee has friendly employees who are ready to assist the customer with their question. They will walk customer to product they cant find. The check out is easy whether it is self check out or the check out lanes.

When I know I cant get everything Im looking for at SilverLake Foods, Hy-Vee is my go-to alternative. Good selection, decent quality, reasonable prices, and really nice people. I am kind of addicted to their 9 Grain Seed Baked bread, fresh from the bakery.

Wow!Traveling through from Cali to Massachusetts, had to stop and get something quick for breakfast. These ppl could not be more nice! They actually looked like they wanted to be there. A guy in produce helped us find apples and seemed to know what he was talking about.Everyone was so kind and polite with greeting us in and out. Super nice experience!!!

The Pharmacy staff was so amazing! My kids are sick and needed a prescription before they can go back to school. The Crossroads store worked together with the 37th Street store to get my family the much needed medicine. I really appreciated all their efforts as both stores went above and beyond! Thanks!!!

Nice place to have a drink and finish up some work. Great happy hour specials and selection of taps. Its still a little weird not having servers since they changed to an express, but the bartenders are very friendly and you can order through them.

Props to the meat department!!!Very good staff working behind the counter, patient and caring for the customers. Even when they are super busy and stressed they take the time to talk to the customer one-on-one with any questions they have.And on a side note there firecracker asparagus is out of this world.

The Hy-Vee in Rochester, MN is awesome as always. My KS doctor sent a prescription, and it was ready later in the day. Thats when I went to the store. Each staff worker treated me well, as I went from pharmacy to organic foods, produce, and finally to the meat department where I bought some interesting foods to eat. I bought some Brussel Sprouts with bacon bits and a mixture of spices and cheese to cook, along with a few other items. I love the HyVee just East of Apache Mall, but all Hy-Vees are great. Keep up the good work.

Continually amazing experiences year after year. The meat department at this location is incomparable in service - ask for Aaron or Brian.The Deli department will delight you if Karen is available to regale you with tales of cheese and give amazing suggestions.I dont like the chaotic layout of the northwest location in town that is a little newer. While I prefer Fresh Thyme for produce, the hospitality of this Hy-Vee nearly feels like what companies should generally aspire to.There is one morning full time cashier who was insanely rude to my child 2 years ago and never apologized. She goes as far as to avoid looking at me since commenting on his hair, which is sad. I just avoid her line and even go to self checkout regularly even though I hate it - because she is often the only lane open many times between 8-10 am.Aside from this issue, the location is exemplary for service and most departments have everything in line and go above and beyond. The bakery has repeatedly been hospitable with our son.

4.5 starsThus far, the Hyvee near the Apache Mall is my favorite store.. The Barlow location is my 2nd fav. This location has a much more varied selection of everything than the Hyvee on 37th Street which is much closer to where I live on Elton Hills Drive. The young lady at the entrance who is tasked with asking customers about a mask was very warm, friendly and kind. Moreover, to me, the deli food at this location taste better than the aforementioned 37th Street Stores. For example, the pizza at this store is quite tastey whereas at the 37th store, not so much. It should be noted that I am not a fan of most of the food at any of the Hyvee stores. Thus no 5 star ratings. I think their Chicken, most of the time, is among the worst take out chicken that I have every had. However, in all fairness, I am from MS, thus, I am accustomed to food being well seasoned and much more flavorful.🤷🏾‍♀️ I highly recommend this location. BTW, I has a wonderful experience with having a gift basket for a friend prepared at this store a couple of weeks ago. I specifically drove over to this location for said gift basket because I anticapated a better selection in the Floral and grocery departments. I was delighted with the basket as was the recipient.😊

Im originally from ST LOUIS MO & we have Schnucks supermarket there & HY-VEE definitely reminds me of Schnucks with all the fresh produce, fancy salad & hot food bar.... I cant leave out their GREAT EMPLOYEE SERVICE, sometimes when Im shopping in Hy-Vee, I forget Im here in Minnesota❤

This is the least organized grocery store I have ever been. The only thing vaguely put together was their produce. The oranges they had were borderline spoiled. Honestly Ill do anything in my power to avoid hyvee.

Its much bigger than Cub Foods. Although the isles are quite narrower than you think and its very crowded. Yet the floral department has more choices for plants, flowers and such. Although, the meat department can smell like dead meat. But does have lower prices. In all I prefer Cub. They may be smaller but they are very nice and friendly. When the workers see people they greet us with a hello, how are you doing today and makes your day. Now thats customer service.

We are experiencing repeated problems with not receiving the fuel saver amount on purchases. Happened again today so we now have to make an additional trip back, 25 miles to get it credited. I am losing my liking if Hy Vee

I live in South Dakota. Every item I purchased was $2 or more than I pay in SD.

The staff here for curbside pickup is the slowest! I could have shopped for my own items by the time they came to my car. Seriously need to teach your staff how to be more productive

Dont do my regular shopping here, as the prices are a bit higher (which is why I didnt give 5 stars). I usually shop this store for meat or deli items. They are usually better than other stores, so I am okay paying the higher prices. Sometimes I will shop the produce if they have good prices. I also like their flower shop, any occasion I know I can stop in and get a fresh bouquet and it will look great.

Their deli and meats are top tier; thats what keeps our family coming back week after week. Rarely are they out of stock of what I need and their prices are very fair. Their employees are the most helpful of any store I know. They will go out of their way to help you every time.

I understand there are shortages with product but Im in there alot 2-3 times weekly and shelfs are always empty and if you ask seems like a 60% chance they have it but not on the shelf. I feel they are focusing on they delivery side and not so much about there in-store shoppers. Kind of disappointed. Also sale stickers seem to be left up and hard to get them to accept there errors unless you throw a fit I wont but should not have to. They need to focus on the store as much are the home based delivery side.

Slightly run down in comparison to many of the Hy-Vees I have been to in the Rochester area. In the end the store had what I was looking for, but does not have nearly 1/2 of the selection as the grocery stores in the area. If you have extra time to spare, I would recommend going to a different store.

My wife placed and online order for pickup and was assigned a window between 6pm and 7pm. I arrived to pick up groceries and called the number to let them know I had arrived at 6:33 pm (per call log). The woman who answered the phone asked for the last name on the order, which i provided and told her which spot I was in. She said they would be right out. At 7:13 pm I had not seen my order yet, although two employees who had been delivering the orders of people who had arrived after me asked what the name was on the order I was waiting for. I called again to see what was going on with my order. The gentleman who answered asked for the name on the order, so I gave both my wifes first name and our last name. He said it would be right out. While I was still waiting my wife called to see why I had been gone so long and to make sure everything was alright. When I informed her of the situation, she called the corporate number to inform them of what was going on. The employee arrived at my car with my order at 7:36. The person that my wife talked to at corporate called her back and said that he had talked to the manger at the store and that the reason for the delay was that the order was in my name, and I had only provided them with a first name and no last name, and that name did not match the order (they lied to cover their mistake). They had the last name of the order the whole time, they just fell down on the service they pledged to provide. These things happen. Apologize and move on. Lying to cover it up is never the right choice.

I give Hyvee 5 stars because I had the most phenomenal hamburger from there. Theres no way to describe it other than speechless . Because once you take that first bite of the burger youre left speechless and thinking that you must have died and gone to heaven.plus, its a really nice grocery store...
