Awesome installation of our propane stove! Jason and Chris treated our home like their own, everything kept clean, neat, and very professional. Despite the manufacturer having vague instructions and some poor engineering, they overcame the challenges and made sure the stove was done right! Since June of 2020 when we purchased our home and took on the existing Propane company (Eastern) up until yesterday, our relationship with the company was cordial and without incident. We have paid our bills on time and in most cases ahead of time. Yesterday we ran out of propane. Being that in my 72 years I have never owned a property with a propane base for heating, cooking and hot water, I wasnt surprised. However at 7:00 AM when I made an emergency call to Eastern Propane requesting that someone please come to fill our tanks, I was told there would be a $200.00 service charge for someone to come out before their normal business hours. At that time it was 19 degrees outside and the temperature in our home had dipped to 40 degrees. In addition, the gentleman who delivered the propane to our home literally 5 minutes after I called Eastern Propane lives not more than 3 minutes from our house as he indicated to us when he arrived. Before I call the BBB and my attorney, I would like to know what exactly this service charge of $200 was for. Sounds like it was an indiscriminate charge for getting the owner out of bed at 7 AM and nothing more. And if it is a policy of Eastern Propane to gouge customers like this on a regular basis, I will take the whole thing to court. We will keep paying our normal bill on time and in good faith at Eastern Propane while the aforementioned matter is dealt with FAIRLY.

Wouldnt want this to appear publicly for all the tea in China as I have a totally different view and experience from the reviews that I read, however after being a long time customer of Lyman, who so kindly monitored my usage, my oil needs and when. Also service calls so promptly. From Eastern propane, I unfortunately have experienced running out of oil, having to pay $150. Extra to have you deliver on a cold day of route and priming etc. Anyway Eastern propane to this address is highly unlikely. Thank you for your time and listening

We have been customers of Eastern Propane for about 7 years. Eastern is the best in the area for sure! This past weekend our propane tank decided to release pressure and it was a scary situation. Justin came right out and assessed the situation and explained what was happening, and assured us that we were not in any danger, thank goodness! He ended up taking the tank (by himself!), took pictures of the damage, and was back the next day with another tank. He definitely is an exemplary employee and deserves a 10 star rating!! Great customer service and quality work! From my first call in to the my most recent call...the customer service is amazing! I spoke with Brenda first who set me up with a fabulous starter rate for propane and a sight visit with Marc. Marc came as scheduled and was patience and understanding with our requests. One day later I was contacted by Tom who help be get set up for the tanks delivery ( I have to admit, it was sooner than we thought ) He still made the schedule work. Travis showed up when he was schedule in poor weather conditions and made alterations for pipes to fit to the tank location. I felt at ease as he tested and explained everything before leaving. Then one day later another driver John delivered more propane to make sure we were all set. Last, I called today to make sure I was set up to pay on-line. Word to the wise, be very suspect of those unrealistic glowing reviews regarding their stellar customer service. We have been with eastern for the past couple years. Their prices are average. There are definitely less and more expensive options but their employees are hands down AMAZING!! When we moved in we needed Downeast to remove an old tank from the front yard, it took them 1 1/2 years and 8 phone calls!! We were going to switch to Fieldings last year and EVERY SINGLE TIME I called and spoke with someone at Fielding they were soo RUDE!! So we stayed with Eastern. We use the Springvale office and the lady (wish I got her name) is always soo sweet, patient and helpful, you can even hear the happiness in her pleasant voice. Mark delivers our oil and he’s such a nice man he really loves his job and is just such a kind man!! Last week we had a problem with our lines inside and Justin came out to fix our problem and you guessed it... sooo nice!! Justin was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, even our Newfie loved him!! All sat of the earth people!! Their employees are what make us stay!!

My furnace failed during the week prior to Christmas. Tim from Eastern Propane came out that same day and made recommendations for replacement. Once I decided, I had the estimate in hand that same day. The technicians who installed the new furnaces, Joe and Peter, were great! They kept me in the loop every step of the way. And when my installation needed a special part ordered and the part was received, Laurie was able to schedule the finish installation sooner than we originally expected. They even supplied some electric heaters for me to use for my pipes, etc! From Tim all the way through Laurie, the professionalism, expertise and care showed through. We have been very happy with the service Eastern provided when we switched to an on-demand gas water heater. The consultant, Marc Murgo, came to our house a provided a very complete explanation of the entire process. All the work by the installation team was done well and on time.

Her explanations are easily understood, and she is a pleasure to speak with as well.I also appreciate driver, Don F., who braved the snow to make my last delivery.I would, however, prefer that Eastern consider changing the policy back to half-tank minimum fill for the year, rather than the full tank requirement.With that said, I am still happy with this company!

We have always gotten great service from Eastern. Once they even came out at 2am to help diagnose a problem that caused our furnace to shut down (user error) we have a long steep driveway that had been an issue for them but over the past year or so Tim Cochran has been great navigating the drive, giving us his contact info etc and he is terrific. He’s a super nice guy too which helps. While we used to occasionally have to contact the company (the office folks were always responsive) to request a fill despite our auto fill status, they recently installed a remote gauge that lets them see the tank level from their office. This has eliminated any concerns. We love them - especially Tim

The folks at Eastern Propane were very helpful to me when I bought my home and took over the propane delivery from the seller. Lisa was especially attentive to me and allowed for me to get a summer time lock in price for my propane, even though it was November when we discussed having a deliver contract. You absolutely should consider these folks when deciding upon your propane vendor.

Big shout out to Jon G out of Wolfboro. I had a thermostat issue, he called the day before to diagnose the problem, which allowed him to be prepared when he arrived the next day. He was on time, polite, and got right to work. within 45 minutes the problem was solved and our thermostat was working properly. I also learned that they do plumbing. Hopefully I wont have to call on them for service, but if I do, I suspect they will be just as helpful there as well.

Brian came today to service our boiler and was very friendly and outgoing, along with being quick and efficient. Our kids (1.5 and 5 yr old) were quite taken with him, so he chatted with them and had them grinning while he worked. We were very happy with his service and how personable he was.Two nights ago, around 10:45pm, we had called Eastern Propane due to our boiler failing to fire. It was below freezing outside and the roads had turned into a sheet of ice. They sent out another tech Van, who was driving through the dangerous conditions to come help us. He was coming from over an hour away and kept us updated with his progress in getting to us. He was almost here when we finally got the boiler to fire. He was very knowledgeable with our type of boiler and was able to provide helpful information that enabled us to get it working. Due to his strong recommendation for us to schedule a service tech during the day, we called Eastern back today and had Brian to our home only a couple hours later.Overall, the professionalism, knowledge, and affable personalities of the two techs made us quite happy with the service we’ve received.

Over the past 2 years, the tech service has been excellent (on time-with reminders, hand shakes at the door, going over what they discovered and did, professionalism and great manners). And 2 days ago, I had to call about a bill I thought had been paid online by my bank but it had not and was apparently overdue. We recently moved into our home and set up an account with Eastern. My husband and I cant say enough good things about this company. They have excellent communication with their customers and when they say theyre going to be there they are. We had a leak and they were great about ordering the part and having it fixed in a timely manner. The 2 gentlemen that came out to set up our tanks and evaluate a leak we had were very helpful and explained exactly what they were doing and what needed to be fixed. When Ive called the office and spoken with Helen she has been so nice and helpful as well. I feel like often times we are quick to complain about poor customer service, but I have to say we have experienced nothing but the opposite. Keep doing what youre doing Eastern. I have been doing business with Eastern propane for around fifteen years...overall I’m quite satisfied with them...I find the ladies i deal with on the phone very polite and accommodating...the men not so much...There service techs are so so depending on which tech they send out...I’m the type of person who always keeps my cars and trucks fuel tanks half full because you can never know what’s around the next corner ( if you know what I mean )...I feel the same way about my propane tanks...but apparently Eastern does not !! ...I’m sure it’s a bottom line thing, just like every thing else in this greedy world ... it would be nice if they would be accommodating in that respect ( that’s my big problem with Eastern)...other than that,no problemo...thanks

I contacted them to get into a monthly bill and was told because they ran my credit last December they went run it again because its been less than a year and in the past 6 month Ive bought my house and I cant get approval for a small bill like this. Will definitely changing providers

New to the area we didnt know who to go with and there was an existing tank that came with the house. Well long story short we got ripped off by this local company some $450, and received no fuel. Pay up or we will ruin your credit they said. Nice.. Welcome to the area! We decided to go with Eastern after this and have never been happier. They have always been quick and helpful with quotes on new install have reasonable rates and have the best and nicest propane delivery guy ED. Incredible service from Mark and Zak. I own multiple properties and have used every oil and propane company imaginable. No one comes close to their service. I live in Boston and had a house in Claremont that had a furnace that shut down. Naturally the pipes froze, split, even had a radiator blow apart. They came out same day, fixed everything and even loaned me a couple of heaters to thaw the house out. You can’t find this kind of “old school” service anymore. It’s like having a friend who owns a propane company.Do NOT use anyone else!!!

We are so pleased with the men who came yesterday and changed our heating system, hot water system, and installation of new propane range in our kitchen, as well as provided the propane directly to our outdoor grill. Also they took our large oil tank as well as electric hot water tank out of our basement and took them away. Each step of the way, they explained everything to my husband which was definitely necessary because this is a whole new system for us. We were told ahead of time that it could be done in one day, but the amount of work that they accomplished was more than we ever expected in one day. Also our propane was delivered early this morning. We couldn’t be happier for everyone we have dealt with in the Eastern company. We will be passing the word along to our family and friends. Never have I ever delt with a company like Eastern. 2 years in a row they screwed me by over delivering propane n now I have to pay for it .They think lowering the price will make it all better. Definitely going to start going out n babysitting the delivery guy n make sure hes delivering the correct amount from here on!!!

Great customer service support!! On Wednesday morning we found our hot water tank was leaking. Call customer service and talked to Britney About 9:30 a.m. in the morning about our problem. She let us know that she could have a technician at our home by 2 oclock. The technician Ed Arrived at our home about 1:30. He evaluated the problem and reported back to Britney with his findings.Britney had called us back later in the afternoon to let us know that the parts were available and would be able to have a technician to install the parts Friday morning. The technician Jarrod Arrived at our home by 8 oclock. Jarrod was very professional And thorough with his repair. We had a different propane company that Eastern bought out. My boyfriend works for a propane company, so with the buy out we decided to go with my boyfriends employer. Eastern came and picked up our propane tank, that still had propane in it, with zero notice. We called and were told that there was nothing they could do because it’s a holiday weekend and they’re too busy. They did not tell us they were giving us a credit for the propane that we paid for that was in the tank until the next day after multiple phone calls. We have a propane stove, so we have no way to cook. It’s a good thing it’s not cold yet, as we would have no heat either. Terrible customer service, would be zero stars if that was an option

Ted Healey, the Eastern Propane technician who visited us today, was wonderful. He arrived on time, cleaned and serviced the furnace, and left the area better than when he arrived. He also suggested we move the kitty litter box to avoid an accumulation of dust that may interfere with the heating system down the road.

I have been a customer for over 5 years. Every time I have called with a question or a request, it has been handled in a friendly, professional manner. Their customer service is top notch.

So far so good with Eastern Propane. They helped alleviate the issues we were having with the builders of our home by not giving up and making sure we were all set. Between fixing out Boiler to putting the propane tank in the ground and connecting it. They went above and beyond to make this happen if a expedited manner. I worked directly With Justine from the service department out of Winchendon Ma and she was very helpful, knowledgeable, and understanding of the situation. I feel this would not have happened in a timely manner without her help. Thank you again Eastern Propane!

Recently had a problem with our newer furnace, Eastern techs were here within the hour and worked hard to solve the issue. They overnighted the part and had it up and running the next afternoon. Important when it’s the middle of winter and no heat or hot water! There was a small issue as a result of the repair, they came right back out and fixed it. The different techs we worked with were personable and helpful and we were happy. Glad to have a good experience after we had a questionable first year and almost changed companies. Eastern made it right for us and has been great to work with ever since. Also love to have a person pick up the phone at all hours, not a machine. That means a lot! Thanks guys!

This company has the most amazing customer service and follow up. I had a very frustrating issue but they immediately addressed it and resolved it beyond my expectations.

On August 2, 2018 Ted Healey from Eastern Propane installed my new gas range. He was extremely knowledgeable, quick, efficient and very pleasant. Ted answered all of my questions and made sure that I was all set to use my new appliance. It was a very pleasant experience!

These people actually answer their phone promptly and know who to send you to in order to answer your questions.I called with several questions about billing and pricing history and requested a couple of estimates and comparisons - about 1/2 hr of assistance. I hung up feeling I had just had a discussion with my neighbor nest door over a cup of coffee.

Awesome prices....I have special delivery needs I can not say enough about delivery guy Chris Tucker super super nice, friendly. The poor guy came out in a horrible storm today so we did not have to go without heat....his truck got stuck in horrible snow over 3 hours. He deserves huge bonus. Thanks Chris so appreciate you.
