Was a little aggravated...was looking to get some clothes for granddaughter for her birthday and EVERYTHING I liked I couldnt get because there were none in her size. Saw plenty but I just left with nothing....compounded by the fact that I saw some jewelry that I liked ( 4 rings) that didnt fit and there were only a few sizes.

Great store, great prices, very helpful sales staff. Particularly impressed by the atmosphere of the store. Good displays that are kept neat and well organized. The workers clearly care about their store and their customers.

This is a great place to look around just for the fun of it if the weather is bad outside and you just want a place with a roof and air conditioning to walk around in. They also have a wonderful bathroom! It is great that JCPenney has a location in the Rock Hill Galleria Mall.

Always liked shopping here, but it is now closing permanently. Items are 30-50% off SUGGESTED retail prices (NOT what the prices for which the items typically were sold). So at about 20-30% off you are paying what JCP normally sold the item for. These policies and procedures are set be the liquidation company, not the actual retail store. For, example a mens suit at 50% off suggested retail is $160.00 I was able to buy it for $125.00 at Pineville JCP (not going out of business) at their sale price and using an an online discount coupon. Coupons are not allowed at stores closing. Having said all of this, there are some items steeply discounted. For example I bought a $40 MSRP pullover sweater for $6.99

What happened to this store? It appears there is a strong possibility it might be closing? Walked through to avoid outside temp going to Belks. Very sad to see such an anchor with so little merchandise.

I usually find what I am looking for. The key is finding it on sale. The store is well organized and clean. The sales staff is good but some of them lack knowledge of products.

Im not a big fan of jc penny. They have some cute things but most of it is over priced and on the cheaper end. I havent really seen any deals that would bring me in either. Their new store set up is good though. Its nice and modern.

Didnt really have any boys clothes. The boys section was absurdly small. The mall its attached to is not that great so an easy pass from us next time.

I was there 3 times since Monday. I found a pair of jeans with a matching shirt for my son. The shirt was $4.99 and the jeans rang up $27.00. I didn’t buy the jeans. I went home and looked on my app and they were $9.99 so I went back to purchase them. They rang up $27.00 I showed the girl online they were $9.99. She asked Glenda who was like a demon from the get go. I never had anything to do with her prior to this incident. She said it is what it is. The girl said she bought the shirt I tried talking to Glenda she wouldn’t listen I asked to speak to another manager but she said she was the only manager in the store. I left my items on the counter and proceeded to leave. I stopped at another register and asked for a manager she started to call Glenda I said I didn’t want to speak to her she was rude and awful. She directed me to Suzie who was sweet and amazing. I explained to Suzie what was going on. I showed her the price difference and she told me to get the jeans. She rang them up for the online price with a smile and was so glad to be helpful. You need more Suzie’s and less Glenda’s. Some roles need to be looked at and evaluated

There is no selection at all for kids. They have a whole big section of the kids dedicated to toys and costumes. I dont go to a clothing store for toys.

Worst experience. I had purchased a Samsung refrigerator during the Thanks Giving and promised to deliver in the first week of March(as i bought a new home). Last Friday they delivered the refrigerator, but it was a faulty one and the delivery guys took it back. Now when i contacted the customer service to check when will i receive the new refrigerator the response is It will take another 3 weeks. When contacted the manager, her response is i cannot help.Poor and worst response from JC Penney. I regret if i had made this purchase from Lowes/Home Depot, they would have arranged a temporary refrigerator till the new one is delivered. Not sure how i will manage, without a refrigerator for 2-3 weeks.
