I don’t do reviews as this is my first, and it is well earned. I had a legendary service experience with Morningstar Storage on Celanese Road in Rock Hill. I had a special requirement for a unit and the property manager Robert Eisentein went well above the call of duty to assist me. In fact, he kept in touch with me for several months until we could get the exact unit that was needed. He would touch base every so often just to let me know he was still keeping me in mind over time, incredible. I have never had anyone show their genuine concern and care to ensure I was satisfied as Robert did, as I stop by my unit he always recognizes me, this is service you just don’t see today. I am definitely a fan, thanks Robert!

After selling our home and needing to store our furnishings between the moving company and a storage unit was daunting and stressful.We had used a Morningstar Storage in Charlotte before so that was an obvious choice for us. Our group recently rented a large storage space at the Celanese facility in Rock Hill. We had a couple of special requests due to our purpose for renting, so we discussed our hopes with Robert, the manager. Not only was he accommodating with our requests, he made us feel as though it was his privilege and pleasure to make them happen. As promised, the changes were made within the promised time frame. The nice part is that he kept us posted along the way as to when the changes would be made. We are at our unit most days, and he was so quick to come out, check on us, and make sure we were satisfied. Even though the alterations have been made, he continues to come out, greet us, and let us know that he appreciates our being there. We, as a group, have been so impressed with the service we have received. Robert takes pride in running his facility, and he obviously cares that his customers are satisfied. He is one of the best customer service professionals I have encountered in a long time, and my profession is service intensive. Way to go, Robert!

He went above and beyond to ensure that my visit to the storage unit was safe and secure when I visited the premises alone . Robert was extremely helpful and very easy to work with. He answered every question we had and went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied with our unit. He gave us a tour of the facility and the different units and told us the easiest way to access our unit. We would recommend him and Morningstar to anyone.

Rob went above and beyond to help assist my mother and I. He offered help moving our boxes to our storage and made it clear that he is always available to help if we needed to just ask. We want to thank him for his sincere kindness. It is because of people like Rob that at our darkest hours we see a ray of hope shine. Yes we would recommend MorningStar Storage.

Clean facility, helpful staff, reasonable pricing

The staff here is very helpful to help you get what you need. They will set the things for you so it is ready when you get there. There are carts in the building that you can use and the site is secure. Great place for in between moves or family storage emergencies.

I had a 500lb sofa delivered to my storage unit. Rob made sure the delivery guys wouldn’t be able to get into my unit without my permission. Amazingly, Rob took it upon himself to get my 500lb sofa into my unit. Rob, thank you for going above and beyond!

I am a college student and I love that Extra Space Storages allows me a safe place to store my items while I am away from school. The units are always clean, secure, and easily accessible. I have never had any issues w damage and the staff is polite and communicates effectively. 10/10 recommend .

I recently moved from a house to an apartment and needed to store some furniture and other things. The entire process was quick and painless. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful and friendly! When I initially called in I had a billion questions but Rafael was able to answer them all and not make me feel silly for asking. Would recommend them to anyone in the Rock Hill area that needs storage space.

Great experience so far. Price is much better when you book online. The site manager Alicia was very knowledgeable and helpful to every detail and question I had before renting. Booking online is completely contact-less. I got a free lock and all my info via text. Will recommend this storage facility!

And the unit itself is clean, easy to get to with elevators, and they provide carts to load and unload things. The hours are fantastic. Alisia in the front office is friendly and so very helpful. Clean, AC/heated, uncomplicated, but a little on the pricey side. You pay for what you get, and every 6 months it seemed like the price went up.Great for short-term storage, but if youre thinking long-term, save your money, buy a shed.

I was very pleased with my experience purchasing a storage space at Extra Space. Very easy, very pleasant customer service, and the facility is nice, well lit, has easy access and very, very clean and fresh looking. Also, I save quite a bit of money moving my things here from my previous storage facility in another state.

The girl in the front office is by far the rudest person I have ever met. Asking a simple question she will talk down to you and treat you like you are scum on the bottom of her foot. Thankfully I only need a unit for a short period of time and I will never return. I will make sure to never send anyone to this location either. Hire people that have people skills and actually care to help your customers please.

Toll free contact was excellent. Got to the Rock Hill location and went downhill fast. Have him my name and phone number and he started typing. He called me by the wrong name, had a different phone number, different email. Explained to him three times he had the wrong profile pulled up. He kept changing that poor persons profile to my information. I explained I had a confirmation number and he the office screws those up and they don’t mean anything.Finally told him to quit changing someone’s info and to find me. He finally listened and did. Blamed the office the entire time as nothing was his fault. Better trading is needed!

Now another price increase on same units dated 5/31/2020. Called their office and was told price increases happens every 4 to 9 months. Clean facility, love that they have elevators & carts for moving in/out. My issue is that whenever you are getting a unit they MAKE you get insurance which I have renters so I should be able to use that. I also did not appreciate that they FORCE you to leave them a 5 star review. They say it’s for confirmation like do y’all think I’m not educated to see past that? The email I received was the confirmation. This is why I’m leaving a 1 star review. A good review should be based on that persons experience not because you all want more 5 star reviews so more people will rent from y’all which means more $$ for y’all. That’s shady!

The good before the bad: The facility appears clean and secure. I highly appreciate the multiple flat bed carts available for free at each entrance! Theyre life savers. The two elevators and halls are nice and wide enough to accommodate the size of anything being stored.I did not appreciate being asked if I had a learning disability three minutes into reading the extremely long lease contract. When I asked why he asked me that specific question, he literally smiled and said Because you read slow. as if I was supposed to be able to read or even skim over the extremely long contact in less than three minutes. I told him Im not dyslexic and happen to be a great reader... I just like to read what I sign my name to. His entire demeanor changed from nice and accommodating to rude and not wanting to answer any of my questions regarding the contract since I was taking the time to read it. I stopped him from quickly summarizing and initialling for me and I could tell he was not used to that. He even told me he couldnt print the contract out for me multiple times. Thankfully another employee walked in after closing and helped me print the contract I signed. Even though he said multiple times that the contract is emailed after signing, I explained how I keep hard copies of everything I sign. Im glad I got the copy then and there because I have yet to recieve an email with the contract. Im assuming its available online through the portal.Once everything was completed I asked if there was anything else that needed to be done before I went home and he said no. He had to be reminded (by the other employee) to show me how to access the facility. He then corrected himself and said that he was going to do that anyways because hed already told me earlier (before I upset him) that hed show me how to use the code. He laughed and asked if I were a secret shopper because of how my visit went.Overall, Im happy with the facility but dislike every interaction Ive had with the employees (except for the call center employee who was very helpful and informative). I was asked to complete this Google review immediately after the tour of the facility before any of the above mentioned negative interactions took place. Im not interested in any justification responses from the manager in regards to my experience. There should be no explanation as to why I was called dyslexic after three minutes of simply reading slow, being mistreated because I was inconvenient, and being told I couldnt get a copy of what I signed from an employee of almost a year when I was sure to remain pleasant throughout it all.

To be honest this is the best place Ive have used to store my belongings. They have great customer service and representatives for this location. I have been here for months with them and never had an issue at all with anything as far as payments, storing, moving..etc! Shout out to manager Alisia for outstanding service and handing out water for all the customers who come in and out your doors. We appreciate you and thank you for all you do.

All employees extremely helpful and friendly. Facilities are clean and fantastic for climate controlled. The only downfall is that they do close later at night, so you don’t have access. If you are one of those people, like me, that will think of something you need at a late hour or late night are times that you are productive - you just need to plan ahead. I would recommend Extra Space Storage to everyone!

Clean units, friendly staff and I always felt safe when needing to get into my unit, especially at night. The area is well lit and we never had an issue for the 2 years we had a unit.

The staff was super polite. On my first visit, they did not have what I needed, but took my info and said they would call if something came available. I left expecting to never hear anything, but that same afternoon they did call back with a space. I was able to reserve online and the process at the facility was very quick and easy.

I havent been at the storage since my things were placed there. The rental process was great. It was thorough and well done. I look forward to my association with this company.

Excellent service and quality. Jordan was extremely helpful in getting my space leased and answering my questions. I could not be more pleased. The facility is in top condition as well.

This facility has increased my rate twice in the past 12 months to an amount thats almost 140% of the rate that they are quoting new customers for similar units. When we committed to this facility and had our things sent there, we were quoted a price of $93/mo. Once our moving truck arrived, they told us that in order to have two units even near each other, the rate was going to be $112 per units instead of the original $93 that they quoted us. Within five months, they increased the $112 to $121 and within another 6 months they increased $121 to $129. Not even counting the initial bait and switch, thats a 15% increase in a year. When confronted about it, the employee said that this is normal and that theres nothing that she could do about it. I understand maybe a small increase every year, but this is approaching fraudulent. Will be looking elsewhere for our storage needs...

I checked out all the storage units in the immediate area and this one was by far the nicest, cleanest, and most convenient of all. The store manager Alisia and assistant manager Jordan were super helpful and attentive to all my needs and answered all my questions. Would recommend this to everyone!
