Not only does Hobbytown have the best toys and RC products around, but the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Ive been shopping there for years and I really believe that they have some of the best customer service of any retail establishment of any kind. Its just a wonderful store that I really cant recommend enough.

Absolutely fantastic!! They have an incredible inventory when everywhere else is sold out, better prices than the popular online sites, and its easy to get to (I drove from Jefferson, WI).The best part? Hands town, its the team. These are friendly, patient, knowledgeable folks that go above and beyond to help! They truly seem to love what they do.I wish I would have found it sooner. All of my future RC purchases and repairs will be done here.

This hobby shop was well worth the drive from North Chicago to Rockford. It is well stocked with all hobby needs and supplies, especially the paint selection and accessories for Grex airbrushes. The owner is very knowledgeable and was kind enough to let me behind the counter to show me the Japanese gardens which are highly recommended if you are in town for the day. I highly recommend this location for your hobby needs if you are in Rockford. They can also do shipping to your location.

This particular Hobby Town reminds me of a hobby shop I used to frequent in Chicago. All kinds of model aircraft hanging from the ceiling and a very attentive and knowledgeable staff. The owner, John, is a great person and goes out of his way to help with any purchase and provides sound advice on most any subject.

I called to see if they had items in stock. They did and since I was to come to them the next day, an hour away; they put the items to the side for me. They were there for me upon arrival. Great people, great service. Thanks Hobby Town Rockford.

Largest HobbyTown Ive ever been in. Theres so much to choose from. Anything from airsoft to Radio Controlled cars, my favorite. Great customer service and I was even greeted as I walked in. It was hard to tell who said hello, because of wearing face coverings. While checking out, the employee also gave me information for the local drag racing group... Outstanding.

I highly recommend doing business with the Rockford Illinois location. I purchased two separate gifts on two separate occasions within the last month, and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and beyond accommodating when it came to shipping a thousand dollar boat to my house “Without a scratch in the packaging”. You will NEVER get this type of VIP service from the online giant... The manager was even able to give me a little better deal than I could have done by buying from the big box store online... Do yourself a favor and check out the amazing store in Rockford for ALL of your hardest to buy for friends and family! They will definitely thank you!

I’ve been shopping here for about a year now and it is hands down the best hobbytown in Illinois. They have a huge selection of airplanes and cars/trucks with competitive pricing. Not to mention the owner John and manager Ashley are so knowledgeable and super friendly. They always do right by the customer. I live closer to a competing store but make the hour drive to shop at this location bc of the great customer service.

Lots of hobby supplies. Cars, trains, and rockets. Slot car sets. Great place to get hobby supplies for RC cars.

Huge variety of items for all your hobby needs. From Lego, train sets, 3D printing, rc cars, various painting mediums, puzzles, air soft, to my personal go to Gundam model kits (even though theyve had a lack of them for a while now..) Staff is pretty helpful if youre there for the rc cars otherwise youre kinda just on your own, same applies to messaging them over Facebook or their online items that arent completely accurate.

I had no idea that an adult toy store like this existed. Went in to get some extra parts for my kids RC Car and EVERYONE behind the counter was extremely helpful and the prices are better than most online. John was the one I talked to on the phone before I went down and he had everything ready for me when I got there. There was also a young lady whos name I did not get who was very knowledgeable and helped with showing me how to put the parts on. Couldnt be happier.

Drove an hour to get there, walked in the door with batteries and my wallet and keys in my hands. The girl behind the counter asked me to put a mask on and i replied to her give me a second to get it out of my pocket and the owner / manager told me to leave the store. very rude and unprofessional people. i have been spending money there for years, at one time an average of $800 a month.. i will never go back in there he just lost another good customer for life!

The staff here is very helpful and knowledgable about most everything. There is a decent selection of discs for disc golf. They get new inventory frequently and have put orders in for us when they havent had what were looking for. They carry a wide range of toys and hobbies, from little kids to adult. Much more personal and friendlier than the big stores.

I drive for an hour and a half to shop here. Most of the r/cs have floor models so instead of crossing your fingers, you can really give them a good look before buying. Theres a Hobby Town in West Ellis WI, but the staff is totally B team and they dont have floor models.

Amazing place....support your local hobby stores folks...if ya dont they wont be around forever. Very fun place. I dont build models or planes or any of that, but I go here 2 to 3 times a year because I know someone who does and this is my go to place for their gifts. The sets are amazing and the atmosphere is great. A little pricey but hobbies can be expensive. The staff is very friendly and helpful everytime I have stopped by.

What a great experience. Great customer service. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Son got a 4 wheel rc truck and after just a couple runs with it, he somehow broke the steering servo. Took it in and they explain and showed exactly what had happened and recommended a new one that doesn’t have plastic gears. Very understanding and I highly recommend these guys and gals.

The most amazing customer service of any company I have dealt with. Their support and service is so amazing that I drive over an hour to purchase products from them instead of buying online. I have dealt with both the owner (John) and his staff (Ashley and others) on multiple occasions and they always take the time to help me with anything from finding parts to helping with repairs. Very knowledgeable and one of the largest hobby stores I have ever been in as well.

Hobby Town has something for every age. We were pleasantly surprised with the wide selection! The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were greeted by every staff member we saw, and they were eagar to help their customers and were knowledgeable of their products.

1st time here & absolutely loved it! Hubby & I are trying to find another hobby but dont want to spend a lot of money on something that we may or may not like. Great hobby shop with a wide variety of kits and supplies

I have to say that the employees that were running the Airsoft counter are amazing! They helped me pick out a great gun to start out with that was in my price rang. If i could rate higher i would. They also have amazing deals. Most of the items they have in the store are way cheaper than a lot of other stores. Give them a visit or stop bye if you guys have a chance. Its pretty good!
