Was a regular at this place. Only a couple blocks from my house very convenient. Went to get plumbing supplies which total a little over 4 dollar. Guy wouldnt let me pay with a ATM card and got rude about it. Ive been going here for the last 6 years wince Ive lived in the neighborhood and spent $40 dollars on a overpriced saw blade the day before. I dont carry cash ever. Wont be back. Ill drive the extra 2 blocks to Nicholsons.

Excellent service!! I came in to rent a one way Penske truck for my move to Las Vegas. Dean got me checked in and out the door quite expeditiously, not only that, he was extremely personable and pretty funny. He even added a healthy discount to my rental. With that said, I greatly appreciate the diplomacy and I encourage those with hardware or rental needs to visit Dean at TRI B Hardware!!

LOCAL hardware store where you can go just to shoot the breeze. Very knowledgeable about every aspect of projects. Have the largest and best nuts, bolts and screws you can find. They even have chrome for motorcycles. Benchmade knives which are hard to find, they got it. You really have to stop in to see what they have.

Instead, visit the young men at Try-B Hardware & Supply on Charles St which is 5mins from everywhere in Rockford. Straight to the point customer service which saved me time and money! One of the best hardware stores in Rockford Illinois Small Mom and Pops a little more expensive but the people who work there know their stuff Im like Home Depot Lowes or Menards where you have to go through the kingdom and look for help help is always available just a shout away

Best duplicate key maker in town! In 20 years, I have only had 1 that did not work. That was cheerfully replaced.

Lovely shop one of the best places knowledgeable staff and are always ready to help. And if you get shotty product or they mess up the replace it. I.e. cut pvc pipe a little short or a key they cut doesnt work they fix it for you. Like Nicholsons hardware this is a dedicated family owned shop

If you ever need a bolt for your automotive project, they have it.. I somehow lost a bolt when I was replacing my trucks transmission.. went to every auto store around Rockford.. no one had it. I ended up going to Tri-B.. amazingly they had enough to replace all 6. The guys there know exactly where to find the right stuff quick.. great little hardware store!!

Penske Truck Rental Rate was A lot more than quoted price. Over priced amount and ridiculous amount to pay for deposit. Truck had not been swept out and had Cheetos on floorboards I side the cab and a pair of broken sunglasses. They were not willing to honor my quoted price via online reservation. Giving three stars because the returned my deposit quickly.

Absolutely the best hardware store in Rockford. I shop there for 99% of my hardest needs. Theyre the only place in town that has the small sized screws, nuts, and o-rings that I use for my hobby. The service is stellar. I love supporting my local store instead of the big box stores, and the best part is that I dont have to pay a premium to do so, Tri-Bs prices are just as competitive as the big stores.

First stop locally before I go to a large store

I just bought a house and am learning how to do basic house maintainence myself to save money. These guys are awesome. Tell me the parts I actually need even if the parts are 50 cents. I thought I needed a major part and they told me I need a 50 cent piece. Since I didnt have any cash they just let me have it. I go here first for everything now.

Always have what I need. They are very knowledgeable. No need to go to the big box stores. Hardware stores like this built America. Please go there and keep small business alive.

This is a great moms and pops hardware store. Here you can you can buy one screw or a box of screws. They fix window screens, even sell custom windows. They also sell black pipe for gas installation, also cut and thread the pipe to an specific size. Great neighborhood hardware store.

Went to home depot for a drain part. After near half an hour and two employees we discovered they did not carry it.I was in and out of here with my part in less than 3 min and that includes parking. Staff was helpful, knew what my part was and also where it could be found. Will be taking the extra couple of minutes drive when I need parts in the future.

Nice hardware store prices are good for being a small hardware store.. Have a lot off items inside. Never have been disappointed yet!!! I own 2 rentals near by and always go there because its closer than going to Home Depot, Lowes and Menards.

This store offers quality products at a fair price. The staff has always been able to help answer any questions that I have, and the location is great. All of the Big Box stores are out of the way for where I work/live.

Awesome service. I needed an obscure nut for my ironworkers tie wire reel and the friendly folks here helped me find it, and even gave me some tools to install it in the store! Great shop.

I live in the neighborhood and have been coming here for years. Its one disappointment after another. I always end up going here first and then end up leaving and having to go to Menards anyway. Going to start saving myself some time and agrevation and just go elsewhere from the start.

Any small home or large work project, supplies and advice available. I ignored the advice and made three trips to fix a home DIY plumbing.

These guys carry a little bit of everything but my favorite part of the store is the nuts, bolts, washers, screws, etc. If you need some odd-ball weird fastener item, chances are they have it. I recently did some work on my 2003 HD FatBoy and needed to replace quite a few uncommon nuts and bolts. I couldnt find them anywhere besides the ridiculous priced genuine factoryreplacement parts. These guys had everything I needed in stock. They also had the same stuff in stainless steel, so for a few extra bucks I upgraded everything to stainless. Now I never have to worry about them again. Great place!
