If we could ever get a return call or any response this review would be much different.We recently bought a home in Melbourne. My wife was so excited with the beautiful furniture when she walked into Indian River Furniture. The sales rep that worked with her, Lael, was very attentive as she placed orders for bedroom, dining and living room furniture. We were told it would be about 3 weeks for the bedroom and dining room and much longer for the living room upholstered items.We are only in FL part time, so before we returned about a month later my wife called Lael and left a message without a response. Then sent her a text (Lael has suggested that option initially) on Aug 3rd, no response. Again another text Aug 6, no response. Another call and message to the store on Aug 8, no response. I called the store on Aug 10 and left a message, no response. So after we arrived she went to the store and met with the General Manager, Jeremy.The GM never apologized for lack of response but did look up our order and let us know the table was available. He said he would try to get it on the truck delivered the next day and would call with an update on the other furniture. SURPRISE – not only was it not delivered we have never heard from him again. After follow up calls and leaving a message, now 9 days later and never a response!!! Just pitiful, especially since we have a whole house to furnish.

Also wanted to find a Dining Room buffet to match our table and chairs. They worked very hard to find a match. It looks like it was made as part of a set. A perfect match. Highly recommend.

Nice furniture. But I was expecting to see the items that are on their website in their store. When I commented that I wanted to see a couple items (hands on) the sales rep got very defensive and told me to order what I wanted. When it comes to furniture, I want to see it and feel it.

Indian River Furniture is a hidden gem. We remember when we drove right by it thinking it was a mom and pop shop with antique pieces. My girl encouraged me to turnaround...we walked into a mixture of beautiful pieces! Staff felt like lost cousins and pieces were appropriately priced- yes less than Orlando and other similar competitors within the area! The delivery teams professionalism was part of the experience. A tight-knit group in todays rare market. Within a 2 year period, we felt like the delivery team was the real owners. Excellent service.We believe in transparency and realize things can go wrong, so yes, there was a mistake, and the personal hand written note by Mr. Jose Garcia was on point, followed by an unexpected phone call by the senior manager to confirm our satisfaction. Yes we are very satisfied! And we will continue to explore new pieces. Do not forget to visit the Warehouse!!! enough said. :)

My family has purchased several items over the years from Indian River Furniture and have had a great experience with them. Selection is quite varied and sales staff are friendly but not overbearing. We have also participated in a few of their sales and were able to purchase some really nice pieces at a great price.

Our first visit to your store today to purchase furniture for our new home and everything was good until I encountered the really pretentious and pompous sales lady?? Owner?? Who the hell knows who she is?(tall thin black/brown hair evil) who stared stone faced intently and rudely at me without speaking while walking towards the front of the store and to the reception area. I was waiting for my salesperson to return to the entrance not looking for a facial beat down from you.If looks could kill.How bizarre.Extremely BIZARRE!You made me feel so uncomfortable that I won’t be back to make a purchase.Sales person was great but this lady blew it.

We bought a home in Florida and our realtor told us about Indian River Furniture. I fell in love with the store the first time I walked in. I worked with one of their interior designers, Farrah. She provided guidance on what would work for my home. All items were ordered and inspected at the store’s warehouse prior to delivery to our home to ensure there was no damage. Farrah supervised the delivery and installation. Two years later, the air mattress on the sleeper sofa faked and Indian River Furniture worked with the manufacturer to supply a new one free of charge! I couldn’t be happier with the quality of the furniture and the customer service.

A few years ago we purchased a pair of Stressless recliners from IRF. The stores wide selection of models and knowledgeable staff helped us pick the perfect chairs and options. The prices included important free options. Their installers were professional and knowledgeable. After several months of use we needed adjustments. When we called to request instructions, they sent their head installer who made the seats perfect for viewing in our home theater.

Back again ... Indian River Furniture is so worth the drive. Alicia helped my husband and I choose our new family room. We started shopping there 29 years ago when we built our first home. We got the same friendly, helpful and patient service this last time as we have gotten each and every time we visit their showroom. There are very nice eclectic pieces to choose from as well as reputable lines to best suit your decorating and room needs. Earlier the same day that we bought our Stressless set from Alicia we had visited Hudson Furniture, yet we werent given the time of day and barely made it out of the store with a few pieces. Indian River Furniture is the place to go if you want to enjoy your buying experience and have someone in person answer all your questions about large purchases. Furnishing a home is an investment. Its nice to work with people who care.

The original purchase experience was good. The sales person was helpful, attentive, and they have a beautiful quality made selection. HOWEVER, once I took delivery of my large Drexel Heritage order with a large wool area rug, coffee table, end tables, tv stand, and sleeper sofa the customer service was horrific!It started when the wrong area rug was delivered. Not only the wrong pattern, but the wrong size. When I called the store I was treated very rudely by the sales person and the customer service manager. The manager went so far as to say to me, why cant you take your business to another store. I almost fell off of my chair! I had to look up the owner and call him directly to have the problem fixed and she still sent me the wrong rug!Now the Drexel Heritage Queen Sleeper Sofa air mattress has started to lose air. I called the store to find out what I should do and the same customer service manager is still there (bad business decision). I dont necessarily want them to fix or replace it, but steer me in the right direction to get it fixed... Nope, she never called me back and has not returned my calls.It saddens me greatly! They have lost my business and I will never refer someone to shop there, ever.

Our designer, Andrea Zgonc, is the reason for the five star review! We just moved to Florida and were remodeling our condo and needed all new furniture. Andrea came out, looked at our space and came up with an incredible design. We ran into many delays because of Covid and while updates from IRF weren’t great, Andrea more than made up for their deficiencies. The free design service that IRF offers was one of the reasons we went there but we really weren’t expecting much. Then we met Andrea and saw how talented she was and we were sold. Not quite sure why you are even assigned a sales person when you walk in the store as all she did was immediately turn us over to Andrea, the designer. Our condo turned out INCREDIBLE!!! It’s everything I always wanted but never could have pulled together on my own. Thanks again Andrea! Couldn’t be happier with the finished design.

Great quality and you can hunt and find some excellent deals...make sure you see both upstairs showrooms as they are not linked together upstairs.....and towards the back warehouse they have some great clearance deals....maybe a scratch or discontinued items.

Indian River Furniture is unique because its a locally owned business and they treat their customers like youve just stepped into their home! Katherine Rose was our associate and she was so patient, kind, and thorough through the entire process of picking out our many items to the final writing of the invoice. They had lots of snacks, drinks, and even a raffle. One of the items we had wanted to order was and Ashley couch, which they were able to order and include in our delivery. The delivery guys were friendly and carefully placed all furniture exactly where we wanted it. I would highly recommend IRF and will certainly return when Im in the need for something new and fresh to add to our home!

I had 10 pieces of furniture delivered from Furnitureland South (North Carolina) and one item looked awful due to how the stain was applied to the tv console doors. It was SO bad and mismatched that Im surprised it passed inspection. I took a picture of it and made them put it back on the truck. The North Carolina store would not send me another one and made me pay a restock fee that I tried to dispute. Luckily, Indian River Furniture had this item. Alicia allowed me to compare the floor model to the one in their warehouse, before making my purchase. If I ever need to buy high-end furniture, again, Ill head to Indian River.

Selection is great, helpful salesperson. No real direction from the reception desk except that we should look around ourselves, which I found a bit odd. But we found something we liked and things went smoothly from there. Overall, a good experience.

Indian River Furniture is SO much more than a furniture store. Almost everything can be customized to your exact desire & we collaborated with our designer to create what is now the whole familys favorite space in our entire home!!! The furniture and layout of this store is wonderful with so many beautiful pieces to see.. The sales person (which I prefer to call a designer) who helped us greeted us kindly and let us know they were there to help, but let us explore the store in peace. We started to get a few ideas for the living room we were remodeling, and soon our designer sculpted our ideas into a beautiful layout with every piece of furniture, lamp and decoration we could have needed! I wish I could remember their name to thank them (this was a while ago) but well definitely be returning when the need arises. We had a wonderful experience with this store and loved the fact that we were able to support a local business!!

Beautiful furniture. Went to the store, took me a little while to find exactly what I was looking for in a master bedroom set. Once I did, Mike, got me a price and a great deal on it as well. The delivery guys were funny and fast at setting everything up. Even moved the outgoing bed to a truck for me as it was going to a different home.

Awesome experience. We recently moved and needed some furniture so went in for a couch. They helped us pick out a beautiful couch. We also bought some end tables. There were some other items that interested us but we needed help deciding what worked best in our house and how to accessorize. The designer and sales associate came to our house and worked together with us to find the best choices within our budget.

After much research and going from store-to-store, I finally found the barrel chairs (swivel/glider) in my desired color, and at a reasonable price. I’m very pleased with the furniture I have purchased from Indian River. Katherine Rose has assisted me for the two years I have shopped there. I had my most recent purchase delivered today, and, as usual, delivery service was also excellent. As some other reviewers stated, I don’t bother going anyplace else.

Very nice furniture designs, quality and styles. Ran around all day looking at furniture stores for ideas on Sunday. This place did not seem to offer the customer service the others did.

Previous experiences with Indian River Furniture had been exceptional. However, on May 28, 2017 I ordered a sleigh bed and was assured that the shipping boxes would also be delivered per my request (moving to a new home). In July 2017, prior to delivery, I called and was assured that the shipping boxes would be delivered along with the sleigh bed. Sleigh bed was delivered on July 15, 2017 and no shipping boxes. Spoke with store manager same day and was assured that because this particular sleigh bed was popular, she would ensure the shipping boxes would be delivered to me. Didnt hear anything for over 4-months. Spoke with same store manager on November 22, 2017 and was told they dont keep nor deliver shipping boxes; however, would see what they could do. Now its January 2, 2018 and havent had the professional courtesy of any follow up response...basically, ignored for almost one-half a year. Caveat emptor, let the buyer beware.

We purchase a leather recliner sofa a chair. They were both special order, when we went to pick up our furniture we noticed that the chair was defected/ not level. They offered to deliver the chair after they see if it could be fixed if not they would reorder another one for us. Well we really needed it by the next day so they did their best to fix it for us and also give us a discount. I accepted the discount but the chair was still unlevel. I contact them and return it the following day. NO hassle, EXCELLENT customer service. They did everything they could to help fix the issue.I highly recommend Indian River Furniture, if you ever have a problem just ask for help, they are always ready. ( I had 4 of their personal work together to help resolve our issue.....total teamwork!)Well be going back for future purchase.

Exceptional service the salesman walked the entire store with us and explained different leather types, different materials, different padding and different levels of comfort offered by the furniture. We found exactly what we wanted at the price we wanted. This is a very high-end store and most furniture is very expensive but beautiful. They also have a great cloth selection for custom furniture. I went in last weekend and bought two bar stools from the clearance corner, they only had one on display, but said they had one in the warehouse. When I went to pick the second one up they could not find it. Without any hesitation, they asked if they ordered a new one, but explained that I would have to wait and they were really sorry. They did not charge me an extra cent, did not question anything, just went above and beyond to make it right. Our salesman was Steve Penso, very happy to have someone who still cares about the customer experience.

We special ordered an all leather sofa based on the recommendation of our salesperson, Larry Rhodes who spent an enormous amount of time understanding exactly what our needs were based on the light that comes through our windows on the back side of the couch. Great follow up and follow through. This is my second investment in furniture with Indian River amd there will be a third.

Will never be back. Didnt even get a greeting coming in as I had to speak first. Was offered no assistance in the short time that we were in there. It was our first time in there, was shopping for dressers.

I just bought a table from this guys and asked them 3 times if comes with the extension because the table was in the clearance section the answer was Yes! Before I went to pick it up I called and asked again if the extension is with the table the answer was Yes. After driving an hour to pick it up and wait another hour for them to look for the extension they couldnt find it.The manager didnt come to talk to me and see what is going on.I think people there need to communicate more and make sure they stay behind what they say. In the end I got my money back but waste my day and gas which no one will give me back.Update: After working with the owner, we were refunded for our time and gas that was wasted. Based on this gesture, I will be giving Indian River Furniture another chance in the future.

I purchased about $4,000 worth of living furniture from IRF about five years ago. Also purchased the five year extended warranty. The warranty was useless. Filed a claim about six months later for the fabric wrinkling. I was told that wasnt covered. If I would have spilled fingernail polish on it it would have been covered. Filed a second claim for damage to the fabric. I was told that wasnt covered. Negotiated with the Customer Service Manager and they were going to help us out and pay for half of a replacement piece. Six months later, said piece was finally in. They want to charge me full price. Customer service manager, in six months, never called us back. We always had to call her or stop by the store. Now, I need a new sectional, new dining room table, new bar stools, but will not shop at the store ever again. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Beautiful things but HOLD ON A MINUTE. Problems happen in everyones life and sometimes plan get changed. You can be assured that if you have thrown a few bucks down on an item at Indian River Furniture and have an issue and need to cancel a pending order. YOU WILL HAVE A FIGHT ON YOUR HANDS. I am a 100% disabled veteran and had horrific life circumstance present themselves a few weeks after I ordered an item. The item was not supposed to be delivered for over 2 months. They began making up rules, restocking fees, no refunds, only in-store credit, on and on, the rules kept being made up. I reviewed my contract with them and found out today that NONE OF THIS IS IN THE CONTRACT. NOTHING. THEY MADE IT ALL UP AND KEPT $300 OF MY MONEY. I had to fight to get my $500 back and really not up for the fight considering whats happening with my health right now. They hoodwinked me and that is a sign of a company that knows better than to believe in their products, pricing and policies. They wanted to do in-store credit to FORCE me to come back in shop. No worries, complaint pending with the BBB and I will be suing if they do not return the rest of my funds. I would never trust them again.

Seems like theres no end to the rooms of furniture

If you want a store that’s attention to detail is terrible, this store is for you. They don’t care to get your purchases in a timely manner even when they screw up multiple times. If you have to shop here, never special order anything. You’ll get something wrong delivered and have to wait weeks, if not months, for it to be resolved. Customer service is not their focus, only your dollar.

I purchased my Ekornes furniture there in 2006 and it still looks perfect. Since then I have been working with Indian River Furniture for clients with Andrea, Gail and Carol and other designers. It is always a pleasure to work with professionals. I highly recommend them.

I have bought many furniture pieces from Indian River Furniture. My experience has been very positive every time. I like the personal relationship created with the sales designer and the time and attention they take to help find just what I am looking for.

Like the store, however I called to request chairs to try since they are style we want in our office and I would be ordering a pair. They will not get them in stock for me to try nor would give me a price. I would have order without testing out the comfort. Sadly, I am off to another store that has Hancock & Moore furniture.
