Horrible customer service. I go in here for work and I am constantly appalled by each cashiers service. I get it you work at a gas station and it’s not a glamorous job. I overheard the older guy who smokes cigarettes talking to a younger guy on 10/8/21 at aprox 12:40 about a man of either Chinese or another race. The younger man brought up that the man might be Filipino to which the older cashier replied what’s the difference. I would be happy to educate him on the difference so that way there is no confusion in the future. Edit: After reading the comments I now realize this the GM and will never be back. It’s a bummer because I really liked that gas station.

The card readers at the pumps never work, diesel pumps are greasy and disgusting. This station is less than 10 years old and one of the worst and ran down in the area.

GM Mike is the rudest and most unfriendly person. He shouldnt be in this position.Several times went inside and said Hi Mike. Never once said Hi back. And at register very cold. Not 2 mention always looks like hes angry.. I have a loud voice so I know he hears me. Plus no mask is involved. 2day was the last time going into this location for anything.GM Mike you shouldnt be a GM.

I have no problem with the availability of gas or pumps but the exterior of the property is always pretty much a mess with garbage everywhere. Cleaning up the exterior will help with the overall image.

Apparently this location refuses service to those with a disability. I physically cannot wear a mask and was rudely refused service from the gentlemen behind the counter. He asked if I had a mask and I politely explained that I have a medical condition preventing me from doing so. He then stated they had one for me and I politely refused and explained that I had a condition yet again then was refused service and asked never to come back. I told him “you don’t have to worry about that as I would never return there with his attitude. Lost customer forever.

Thorntons has a great selection of fountain drinks, for a cheap price. This place offers pretty much anything you may need for a quick grab and go. The staff is always very polite and the store is always very clean!

This should be no star. On Sunday at 5:30 pm 12-6-20 I walked into Thortons on Algonquin road and told the ladies in the front that the air for tire filling wasnt working. They said we have nothing to do with that and one of the girls in the front had her nose all exposed. I said could you please cover up your nose she said yeah, I know but thats why we have plexiglass.... Well youre wrong, thats not why you have plexiglass and you need to cover up your nose, or dont you read the news. My workplace would let me go. Wheres your manager?? Ill pass on this Thortons

I found the front counter staff pleasant and helpful on 7/31/19 around 6pm or so. Helped me get a rewards card. Proactive.

Walked in to get lottery play slips to fill out. Couldnt find em. Said to Mike behind the counter Sir do you have lottery play slips No answer. Just points in an abrupt motion toward the (nearly buried in a corner) lotto booth, as if it was really a problem that I asked such a question. My fault, I had no pen to fill out the slip. I said, Sir do you have a pen I could use.? Mike, again without a word, just tosses a pen across the counter to me. I took the pen, filled-out slips, returned his pen and paid my eight bucks for the slips, after which I said Thanks sir, have a good day. Again, not a damn word from the guy. Nothing. AND no one was in the store but me. It was empty - -(I can understand why) - - I came back the next day and collected $20 I won on those lotto tickets. If Mike had been there I would have given the money to him in hopes he could have a better day and maybe smile and say Welcome, good to see you when people come in. If my employees dont say Hi how ya doing or something kind when people come in and do business I give them a warning,,,,SMILE, AND GREET or BE GONE! I dont tolerate ugly behavior. SMILE SMILE SMILE! Be polite. Show concern for customers needs. Good luck with your store.

The people that work here are honestly the most grumpy and unfriendly people I’ve met in my entire life. I almost question if it’s a gimmick.
