Awesome experience dealing with these folks! The first set of mats that came out had some errors in latch location for my front fish boxes. This was partially due to my measurements. The process was easy and great communication even though I was told the color I selected was backordered I placed my order. The installer was super efficient and very meticulous. Found 2 small pieces were not correct and showed them to me and immediately ordered replacements and promptly removed and replaced. We had a very good experience with Castaway Customs. From our first phone contact to the estimate and install it went very smoothly. We picked non stock colors so we had to wait about three weeks but that was explained to us by Kyle in advance during the estimate. A helm piece was omitted on our first CAD drawing sent for approval but when contacted, Scott helped us expedite the missing piece. Michael was excellent on the install. Very customer friendly and on time. We like the look and cushioning for our feet. We went with two color 6mm total and it turned out well. Pay attention to your helm area during design. If you have an inspection port or any other hatch where your feet are you may want to order a rubber backed mat to add to the helm. The mat covers the uneven surface around the cut out making it much more comfortable for long runs standing up. It matches the rest of the color scheme and can be moved for using while fishing or boarding.

Product is great, shipping was unbelievably fast and they also called me saying they could save me money on the shipping. I will shop there again. Well worth it thanks guys

We use Castaway for all of our clients SeaDek needs. They are usually spot-on, and on the rare occasion that they miss the mark they respond and correct the issue very quickly. Customers can be demanding but Castaway Customs is flexible and intuitive enough to deliver the required results with minimal friction in their process.

Could not be happier with our experience at Castaway Customs. Our contact (Tyler) was very responsive with all communication, and he suggested a few very helpful things.I designed a to-scale vector PDF and sent it over to them, and they exectued it flawlessly. Had my 18ft wellcraft done, the whole process took about 5 weeks from first contact to installation. The boat looks amazing the only issue is that when Dawson came and installed the job was not completed. For some reason he decided to not finish the installation of a ruler. He text me that it was left on the boat for me to installed rather than asked were to install the ruler. I wish he would text/called or asked rather than not finish.

2.5 years after installation of Seadek it started peeling up and pieces of the Seadek are flying out of the boat. I contacted Castaway and they had someone named Quentin reach out to me and asked me to send him pictures which I did. A week later I received a text from Quentin saying my warranty was approved we have the green light to replace your Seadek. That was back in July 2021 still nothing and now when I call Quentin the phone number is disconnected.

I had Tristan give me a quote and he did the install on the SeaDek I chose. I went back and forth with the colors and Tristan was very patient and accommodating and made sure I was satisfied. I highly recommend Castaway Customs to anyone looking to put SeaDek on their boat.

Sea Dek changes a boring hard to clean floor into a sight to behold -ie planks in my color of choice and a contrasting border to set everything off. In addition the fitment was perfectly done. Thanks for a super installation.

We have been trying to get warranty service for a couple months now for our 2020 Cobia 301 and they keep pushing us off....An appointment was scheduled for today (Wed) and now I understand it has been pushed out again to (Friday) no email or phone call, my wife had to call. I love this idea and the Castaway Custom products. I ordered 3 Flybrary Kits to place at some of my favorite fishing spots. The products are nice looking and heavy duty so they should last very well. Service was fast too!

Out of the plethora of decking options, we decided to go with Seadek for our boat. Castaway Customs was the only company to return our request for a quote in a timely manner, and answer questions without demanding commitment. Once we picked the color and options we wanted, had the boat laser measured and the product cut and ready to install; we were hit with a major engine issue which required both engines to be pulled. We called Castaway (Ches) and requested a delay in the install with an open ended date. Ches was not only friendly and understanding, he bent over backward to work with us and two months later they installed the decking. Not only was the installer extremely professional and thorough, he was quick as well. It looks absolutely beautiful!! We can whole heartedly recommend Castaway Customs!!******Updated 16 April 2019*******:So we used Castaway Customs once again to add Seadek to our new boat and it looks great!! Now, I deleted a star because this time the wrong color was installed. It was corrected, however I felt that the follow up after install was non-existent. We dealt with Ryan Kimerer; who had excellent communication with us up until the wrong color was installed and then we heard nothing from him. Even sent an email after the install to try an give a hint that we had zero follow up and nothing. No worries though, the product is awesome, the installers are spot on!! If you are wanting this product, don’t hesitate to order. The office folks are only who you set up through, your installer is the real ticket!!

I was referred to castaway customs by a friend and pulled my boat to Florida from illinois to get it carpet replaced and do some fishing afterwards. I was told the project would take 3 weeks 4 at the most. The project started in January 2021 and was finally completed April 30, 2021. I was totally unable to use my boat until April 20. Pieces .were wither missing or had to be re cut. I was given a dis out of 135.00. Unfortunately, I have to leave going back k to Illinois in a week. The work looks great. I just wish t he job could have e been completed in a timely manner.

I have reached out numerous times via phone and email regarding a defective equipment. The owner is faster to respond to google reviews than to return phone calls or emails from existing customers. I hope to have the opportunity to amend this review with a more positive rating.Edit: Castaway customs has stepped up to the plate and taken care of the issue we had. Quentin in the warranty department is excellent and very professional. Although everything moves slower in the days of COVID, the resolution from the Castaway Customs team is going to occur much sooner than I had anticipated. Great quality piece, installation was simple, love the texture. We use the yeti as a step for people boarding out center console from the dock so the added grip that the sea dek provides is worth every penny.

The storage is great . Makes great use of a empty space over the center console. It would be nice to have even a bigger option available without having to custom order. Dolphins are really nice. Looks good for just decoration only. But works great for hanging the lure on before you have to store it.

After a small previous job using SeaDek on my poling platform, I decided to install the product on the rear, cockpit, and forward deck of my 16-foot MFI Islander. Being nearly 20 years old, there were numerous stains, worn non-skid areas, and spider cracks that detracted from the otherwise nice appearance of the hull. My experience with Castaway Customs in Bradenton was both informative (neat cell phone-based software that makes the measurement and CAD layout quick and very accurate) and a very pleasurable experience with staff, and I received the numerous cut out pieces within a week. Austin Vore and the other staff were especially helpful during the process of getting a cost estimate, layout design, and answering all my questions about installation. I installed the product myself (easy for a person with moderate skills) on my boat. The end result is both fantastic looking (the blue aqua camo on black really makes the deck pop) and easy on bare feet. Here is a tip for you do-it-yourselfers: larger pieces (1.5 x 3 feet) of foam will move a bit while you peel off the backing paper to exposed the glue prior to pressing the pad down, even with numerous pieces of masking tape, so I found that a 12 volt battery or 2-3 20-pound weights will hold half of the piece firmly in place as you lay down the other half of the pad. Finally, since I target snook and redfish in shallow water, the foam makes for quite walking around the deck.

I used the EVA spray cleaner to remove spots from my brand new SeaDek and fresh gelcoat after I parked it under a tree. Worked great and was easy to use. I was pleased with how fast Castaway shipped me the product. I wish I had taken before and after pics to share, it was amazing.

Full disclosure: I didnt know anyone at this company or have any affiliation with them. I researched SeaDek and found Castaway as an installer and then used the Bradenton office near me. Ches and Alex were super helpful and Castaway Customs went to the marina and mapped my boat. They gave me an estimate, suggested colors they thought would go well, fulfilling that with the web interface was easy, and they did the install when they said they would (5-7 days after mapping because I chose a standard camel on beach color). They installed SeaDek on the boat while it was parked on my boat lift at my house. Super nice installation job. Super nice customer service. I recommend them with confidence and would use them again. As for the SeaDek itself, it cleans up easily from squid and fish guts and is a real difference maker in safety and satisfaction on the boat. Looks great too! I have had a dozen people on this boat and they are all boat owners and they raved about the SeaDek and the installation job. Buy with confidence from this trusted company.
