The team at West Coast Boat Center are awesome. They put up with me for over a year in getting me in the boat I wanted. From Jim to Greg, theyll work tirelessly to help you into the boat youre after. If theres anything that requires warranty or ordering parts, Kevin is phenomenal at what he does and he gets the job done. John and his service team are the only team Ill trust with my boat. John has gone out of his way at times to answer my questions, walk me through the steps and get what I need done in a timely manner. When it comes to paperwork, Cheryl works wonders and I was lucky to have someone with her experience walk me through the finances with ease. I refuse to deal with anyone else, but the team at West Coast Boat Center and I hope you take me up on that advice.
Buy new think again...Picked up our new Yamaha at then end of May 2020. Excited owned boats for a long time last one 1991 blue water. Weve had more problems with the NEW boat than we did with 91 blue water in 25 years. You pay a premium on a new boat to avoid all these issues. Our boat still does not work correctly wont hold cruise, and over a dozen factory warrantied items already replaced. Over 15 trips to the dealership and back. Been in for the throttle situation 3 times and still has NEVER worked correctly for more than a day trip or two since May. Tried to be patient with Kevin and the service team as the effort has been there to fix. Yamaha has yet to get it right their response have the customer do this do that all of which has been done and shared multiple times. This customer is tired of spending all his time getting their product right! Kevin seems genuine in wanting to fix things and this is not on him, but THE DEALERSHIP represents the manufacture and I have not seen the dealership backing the buyer..
Went to buy a boat, and during the financial process, they said no deposit was necessary to hold a boat. So we believed Jim OConner, but Jim had poor communication threw the whole process and ended up selling the boat we wanted to someone else. Even after Jim told us once it goes to finance we have nothing to worry about the boat was ours. We drove over 2 hours just to visit the store, I dont recommend going out of your way to go to this store!!!
I had my boat serviced there for an insurance claim. When my boat was ready to be picked up I was told the insurance company mis spelled there check and they had to request a new one. Kevin, the service manager said I could pay for it ($8000) and they would refund me my money when the received the new check. They didn’t call me when they received the new check, I had to call them. The. I was told the check now has to clear. That’s not what I was told but I said fine. Now that it has cleared I’m told there is no one available to sign a check and I have to keep waiting with no firm date the owner would be back. I’m just getting the run around. If I were you, I would go somewhere else. I wish I never stepped foot in that place!!!
Should have done this last year when I bought the boat from Greg, but we have had great sale support from Greg and Jim from the store through purchase to showing us how to use our 2020 R5 on Lake Tahoe! Also, we have had AWESOME support from Tyler on the water for a couple of service issues. Nothing serious, but he met me at our buoy, on time on both occasions and solved our problems. Extremely knowledgeable and very customer friendly. I am very pleased with his service and happy he is available right on this lake. Thank you, Tyler!
Greg and the sales team were great, got the first 2021 Yamaha SX190 they received in August of 2020 (possibly the first one in CA). Sales process was fast, no pressure, friendly...all great. Service department on the other hand was not so great. Two months later we took it in for its first 10hr service. Multiple problems with the service; 1. had an appointment for Saturday, but wasnt ready for pickup till Wednesday, 2. got it home to find and oil mess in the bilge, oil spilled on top of the engine, oil rags in the bottom of the bilge and an dented oil filter (looked like it had been tightened with a monkey wench or channel locks). I emailed Greg, he forwarded my email to the service manager whom called me; he offered a full detail cleaning and to replace the filter. I was unable to commit to bringing the boat in at the time (I live 45 minutes away in Marysville) so I told him id think about it and call back. During the time I noticed our boat seemed down on RPM at wide open (a good 5 MPH loss in top speed), 3. checked oil level and found it to be way overfilled. So decided not to take it back for the detail & new filter, If they cant be trusted to do a basic oil change ($255 for 4 quarts and filter) I am not going to let them touch it again.
The entire team was amazing when I bought my Yamaha AR190. I probably went in 6 or 7 times over a 2 month span just to look at the boat and ask questions. I never once felt pressured anytime I went in and everyone was very helpful. When I finally decided to buy at the Sac boat show, the process was seamless and easy. When I went to pick up the boat, they showed me every part of the boat and how everything worked. They even showed me the best way to fold up the bimini and put the cover on. Greg and his team are great and I would highly recommend West Coast Boat center to everyone in the area.
Customer service was oustanding.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Amazing show room floor. This place is a must see and the customer service is superior!
Your service manager (John) was extremely helpful working with our insurance company in settling our claim over our 2007 Sun Tracker boat which was damaged by a falling tree. I dont know what we would have done without him. We in turn purchased a 2019 Sun Tracker from West Coast Boat Center with the assistance of Greg who was extremely knowledgeable and walked us through the process of purchasing our boat. The finance person (Cheryl) was very friendly and easy to work with.Thank you to the entire staff!!!
Does not argue about Electronics, like the Tesla service department next door 🏝️⚓⛵🚤🛳️🚢🛥️🛥️🚀🛸 2 alligator clips up for this place 🛰️🛸
I recently purchased a Cobalt 220 from West Coast. Everyone involved was professional and very helpful, especially Greg. He walked me through all aspects of the boat and got me set up with everything I need. Made the entire process very smooth. I would recommend Greg to anyone looking for a used or new Cobalt.
After reading the bad review left about this place I was apprehensive about getting unloaded. Not only did Charles communicate what he needed me to do; he also was very professional. Unloading boats is not a very fast thing to do, however, I was very pleased to be rolling in 40 minutes. Good job sir, and thank you for an enjoyable experience out west.
I just purchased my first boat from West Coat Boat Center and had a great experience. The sales staff are very knowledgeable and super friendly! I’ll be recommending West Coast to everyone I know!
We purchased our new boat, a Yamaha AR190 from West Coast Boat Center in March of 2018.We are ecstatic about our new boat! Our new boat has been on Whiskeytown and Shasta Lake and it is a dream. The crew at West Coast Boat Center are awesome! They have assisted us with some needs in regards to our boat in a timely manner, as well as, professionally.
Update.I originally had a bad 1st impression the first time I used them for service, but since then, they have changed staff and have done an incredible job of improving customer service. They offered to make things right and helped me to install a shore line charger in my boat. We had a little confusion when trying to find the right parts, but after them working around things, we got it installed and it looks great and functions great. The new staff was very helpful and very informative when something would come up and go over options on how to make it work. They also did a great job of making the boat look nice and clean, it even smells good. Im glad I gave them a second chance, and going forward, now I know I can trust the job and services they provide.
I recently purchased my first boat here at West Coast Boat Center. Greg and Cheryl made the process unbelievably easy. Greg stayed in contact with me through the entire process and Cheryl took care of literally everything down to hooking me uo with insurance providers and taking pictures of my boat for them. Greg walked through the boat with me, explained every feature in detail and answered all of my questions with a smile. I truly felt they were as excited for me to start my journey as a boat owner as I was. I cannot stress enough how good this buying experience was. Even if you are far away it is worth the trip to go through these amazing people for your boating needs. Being in the military its hard to find places you know will take care of you in new locations but I consider myself very lucky.
Greg in sales was great to work with during my several visits to their facility. He has a no pressure, educational sales approach to assist his guests. Cheryl in finance ensured the transaction went smoothly and secured the rate and terms I was looking for. The store has a great ski shop with the latest boards, vests, and other essentials, along with seasoned associates to answer all of your questions. No more Mastercraft, hello Yamaha. Thanks WCBC.
Took my boat in to get serviced. The guys in the service department were great and very friendly like the rest of the staff. Will definitely be going back. Thanks for the great service.
I attempted to get keys for a 2009 Tracker boat for which San Ramon Boat Center is an authorized dealer and service center. The woman who handles the parts department told me that there were many different keys for the boats and could not tell which were for my boat. I ordered two different sets that she thought would work and for which I paid more than $50. They did not work so I ordered new latches and new keys and was charged an additional $150 and when I got the latches with their keys and the extra keys I had to wonder why this woman could not have ordered the two spare keys in the first place and saved me months of searching and $200. I got the actual amounts of the charges by checking my credit card statement as the parts person refused to send be a bill of any kind.I will never do business with San Ramon Boat Center again.
We are a family that never have or drive a boat before, Greg was Amazing Gelo explaining to us how to operate the boat and even give us his personal cell number to call him in case we need any help or tips during are first try in the lake, he also give us a bunch of accessories that he new we will need, and we did! I fully recommend West Coast Boat Center.Thank you again Greg!
Our Tige had a water leak into the bilge and decided to take it to West Coast Boat Center to find the leak. They called me back in a timely matter to let me know the shaft packing was leaking. They were able to explain to me exactly where the leak was and what the fix was. Highly recommend them.
This place has no problem selling you the boat. But once you’ve bought a boat from them - you’re completely on your own.
Great people to deal with. Top notch service and top name boats like Cobalt. Sales and service people are very friendly and knowledgeable.
I echo the same dissatisfaction with the service department shared in previous reviews. The complete lack of communication and shocking level of un-professionalism exhibited is offensive.I waited a month to get an appointment to have my 10 yr old boat serviced. I was told to bring it in on a Sunday, only to have the salespeople inform me service is closed and they didnt have any idea what to do. I was able to leave it, but did not hear from service until I called on Tuesday. The short story, I did not receive consistent communication/updates and they didnt even start working on my boat for over a week. The entire month long saga ended with no offer to compensate me for my trouble and shockingly, no one from service was available the day I picked it up. I have left several messages to speak with the manager and have yet to receive a call back. I spent over $1000 to have my boat repaired, which makes this a very painful experience! Its obvious from the reviews that they are good at selling expensive boats. However, dont expect the positive treatment to continue once you leave the showroom.
Every since this dealership changed ownership a couple years ago it has been great. Especially the service headed by John. Happy customer here.
Worst boat shop service center in the world!!!! Dont take your boat here. I had to give it 1 star. This place is very unprofessional to day the least. I have had too many problems to get into with the service center. They lied and mislead the entire time. They say and do anything to get you out the door besides fix the boat. It is under warranty and Im stuck with this amateur bunch of ding bats. Dont have the same experience as I had. DONT TAKE YOUR BOAT HERE FOR SERVICE.
I called this morning, May 22, 2013, to speak to someone in sales about selling a boat. The person answering the phone was great! The person I spoke to in sales was absolutely put out by the fact that I called. He showed no interest in me, or the opportunity to list the boat. When I asked him what the commission would be he said 10% or $2,000, which ever was higher.I would think the owner of the dealership might be interested in an easy $2,300 commission.Really bad attitude. When I do buy my next boat, it wont be from this dealer.
Emailed and called the service department a total of 5 times and never heard back from them. Apparently they are so busy they dont need any new customers. If this was my company Id be looking for new employees.
Awesome showroom. Great staff. I deliver here.
The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of boats and accessories! I will definitely go back there and recommend West Coast to everyone!
Wondered around for a while and nobody cared to talk to me. Guess they dont care if they sell boats.
We purchased a new 2019 Yamaha. Our salesperson, Jim, was very knowledgeable and educated us on what to buy and what to avoid. We definitely recommend West Coast Boat Center.
They are always friendly and unloaded me quick.
Absolutely great. James the service manager is very knowledgeable and great customer serviceAlso Jimmy the salesman is the best recommend him highly
The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Very clean inside and out. Best shop in town!!
ZERO STARS!This place has been all bad from the time I initiated my boat purchase. First off, I purchased a boat at the price of $18,345. When tracker called me for financing, the price they had was 22,xxx. I asked the finance man why the price went up, and he said to talk to the sales man at San Ramon. I called Greg, and he said the price includes gap insurance, and the extended warranty. The next day I went to sign the papers, and saw that this $22,xxx did not include gap and warranty. It included some packages that I did not order, and was not receiving with my boat! I had the finance manager take those charges off! The payment of my boat went down, and I did still have gap, and extended warranty... Hm, wonder where that extra money would have gone?!Next, we had a light on the interior that would not shut off. I called San Ramon Boat and discussed it with the service rep. I was concerned as the light had been on for close to a week, and I was sure the battery would be drained. I brought the boat in, and at first was told that it was most likely a broken switch. Since I had to have the winch replaced as well I left the bait with them. Come to find out, the light is a push light, and only had to be pushed to be turned off. My winch was replaced, and I picked up my boat, ready to hit the river. We get the boat in the water, and notice 1/2 tank of gas missing! Just shy at least. Then go to start the boat, DEAD BATTERY!!! I call the shop, and the guy was very nonchalant, like oh, maybe they didnt charge the battery. When I mentioned the missing gas, he just said they didnt take gas out of it, or run the engine.I will never recommend this dealership to anyone, not even someone I dont like. Save yourself problems, DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!
Great people to dealWith. We recommend them 👍
The boating supply side is great, they are the boating store from Greenback Lane.
Best looking shop inside and out huge inventory cool people overall very good experience
Very friendly and helpful staff! Very easy and great experience here.
I was shown the boat in the process of installing an electric anchor. I was very impressed with the clean work area and how helpful every one was.
Had a great conversation with accounting staff, very friendly!
Great. Place to get a boat
Had just what I needed
Good respectful people
West Coast Boat Center is the place to go for all your boating needs! I stopped in to check out their boating accessories and noticed they have the best pro shop!
Had brief encounter with staff and they were rude and angry. Would not do business with this company.
