Had a great experience at your Rockville store. Being a man in a crafts store can be challenging but, after finding a manager, she assigned me to a woman who was most helpful. The best part, however, was the checkout and the delightful Luisa, who packed my purchases as if it was her own fine crystal. And a superb personality, often missing in retail these days. Kudos to all.

The cashier who checked us out was very pleasant and sweet. The shelves were kind of bare in some sections, but I suspect that was due to higher product demand for upcoming Halloween events during COVID. Its a nice big Michaels and Im looking forward to coming back.

Very helpful staff, and a great selection of products. Prices are higher now that A.C. Moore closed. Stay away from the custom framing department. Two years ago, we needed something framed, they said it would be a week or two. We came back once it was ready, and the frame was completely scratched up. Their prices for framing seem like they may be a good bargain, because they always have 60% off and other deals, but the quality is lacking. I usually just buy frames myself, as they have a large variety. About 70% of the time the frames are great, but the other 30% of the frames I have purchased have been scratched or chipped. The low price makes up for that inconvenience though. Their new rewards program is great too. Last month, I purchased about 8 frames, and one or two other things, and I ended up getting $25 in rewards.

Could be a Great Christmas thanks to excellent sales clerks and special sales. Im particularly happy with the low cost on the canvas packs. That frankly helps get over the fear of screwing up and having to start over

This is the best craft store. You will find something that you like even if your not into crafts!

Numerous craft as well other interesting items to buy. Wish isles were marked more clearly. Wish similar items were together instead having to walk around in circles.

To update after a very disappointing visit, Store Manager Mary located the yarn I need. She went above & beyond the call to make sure the yarn was available for me. I highly commend her!!!! Thank you, Mary!!!!

Im in the customized t shirt making business.I call them B shirts or Bloved shirts. Which are deeper thought provoking words as well illustrations. AND MICHAELS HAD THE CRICKET MATERIALS I NEEDED though they had 20% off regular priced items,moderate as there prices. I wish the cost was a tad bit lower so my prices could come down..

This is one of my favorite Michaels in the area. Everytime I go to this Michaels its clean for the most part. I can easily find the area in the store for the item Im looking for on that trip. If they have it in stock at that moment than great. If not I can usually find a replacement. Or an Associate is always willing to assist me in finding out when the item may be in.Like the other Michaels that I favorite in the area... The staff here is always friendly, professional and helpful. To me, that speaks of the Store Manager hiring the best associates to work with their customers. As well as the associates understanding that when they step on the sells floor the top priority is great customer service. Keep up the great work & atmosphere and I will continue to shop here. 😉

Actually found plug-in window candles in the store. It was surprising how hard it was to find. Had given up looking and was going to buy online for next year. Thank you Michaels for helping me decorate my home for Christmas.

I always go here to get supplies for school projects and the like. They have a great selection, and its also fun just to browse for your next craft. Sometimes the lines can be a little long, but that just goes to show you how many people also like and trust this place.

Customer service slower than my grandpa

I went to Michaels for custom framing and the associate was great. He was polite and very informative. I wish the service was like this every where I went. Michaels should definitely keep Calvin on the payroll.

First and foremost, there is plenty of free parking in a huge lot close to the store. Michaels is clean and organized and has just about everything you need for crafts but not enough salespeople on the floor available to help customers with questions.

A great selection of art supplies, and a fantastic sale while I was there! I picked up everything I needed to get my own business going and some extra stuff for myself! The staff answered all my questions when I asked them about a few of their items, they seemed happy to help.

We had excellent help in the framing section by Abbas. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. We couldn’t have asked for better service. We’ll definitely be back for our other framing needs!

Wonderful, good customers service

Put in a framing order in late March. Weeks later there’s still nothing to show for it except for a wasted visit to pick-up, A revised timeline again broken and I still don’t have my paintings back. For the price that Michael’s charges you would think that they could get it done right and in a timely manner. especially after a second chance of naming their own deadline. Definitely disappointed and will go somewhere else next time, because friendly staff doesn’t make up for bad service.

Are you looking for something to do as it starts to get old outside? Ms. Joann’s weekend kid classes are the BEST. She is kind, great with kids, and gives each child the special attention he/she needs to create a beautiful art project.

This was a mess. Items just toss everywhere. The step up is a little off also. Planner selection was scattered through out not together in one aisle. This is a Michaels I can do without.

Returned some flowers but had lost the receipt. They looked it up my my rewards phone number and it was so easy. Still love this place to browse. Has things to paint, crosstitch, draw, knit, make jewelry, flower arrangements, scrapbooking, wedding things, and still has baskets for sale. Offers classes year round that are free, but you usually have to buy supplies there. Still fun place

Went in for a frame today. They ALWAYS have what I need and more. And I ended up saving 70%! How do they do it? The cashiers are super friendly and the staff is upbeat and helpful.

One cashier and 7 people in line, cashier had to leave and stop doing job to get more cashiers, there should be a button. Plus no cross stitch books and didnt have the floss I wanted or the package set

Went in store, nobody around to help. Asked one of the employees I found at a station for help. Laughed me off and asked me to try bed bath and beyond. Items overpriced. Employee was unprofessional and rude.

I compare this Michaels to the AC Moores down the street. It is messier and harder to find a staff member. The store space is also a lot smaller and condensed which I am sure affects this inventory and capacity for variety. The sales are great and I feel like they offer a more modern feature of craft supplies.

Excellent deals on markers for kids school projects

Do NOT get a picture framed here. I dropped off two pictures in the framing department with the understanding they were behind and it would take a few weeks, which was fine. About 4 weeks later I received a call saying my pictures were ready, only to go there and wait about 15 minutes and to finally be told, “Sorry, they actually aren’t ready, come back in a few weeks.” A few more weeks pass - about 8 weeks total - and I call and am told they can’t handle the request because they are behind. How could they not determine they were that behind earlier and just give me my pictures back at 4 weeks. Needless to say, we just went to pick the pictures up and they told us to come back in an hour because they cannot find them. I mean...What kind of backwards department are they running. NOT WORTH IT.

Great place for all of our arts and crafts needs

Friendly staff usually, the only reason I give it 3 stars is because they NEVER EVER have enough people at the checkouts. I dont know if its the manager or that they are understaffed but I use Michaels a the time and have several times waited in line for more than 15 minutes. With 1 person at the registers who also happens to be a new employee who has to get help from someone else. Thus place is pretty great until you get to the checkout. I would not stop here if you are in any kind of hurry.

Parking on this side of the center is painful. This store always has a line, and frequently slow. Always check online for cupons, theyre usually good and you can pull up on the phone while you wait. I feel like I spend less money here than AC, the selection larger and usually end up purchasing here. They are excellent with exchanges and returns. Never used custom frames here but have certainly been frustrated with the framing staff at this location.

Then the checkout lines were so long too. Honestly, the store was massively understaffed. I think that I will just order stuff off the internet next time.

My wife visited this location today to pick up an item that she has been waiting to be restocked for weeks. The website finally showed the item as being in stock and provided a location for the item as Main Aisle. Upon arrival the item could not be located and there were no staff members in the store to assist in locating it, so my wife waited in line for a cashier.The cashier informed my wife what she was not authorized to pull inventory from the back even though the item was already listed as stocked. The cashier did not contact her manager on duty to escalate the request to someone that was authorized and just stood there staring at my wife expecting her to leave.As my wife left she could hear the cashier making jokes and laughing at my wife with the next customer in line.Awful way to treat your customers.

Great variety of craft and gift items in this store. I like the prices a little more than AC Moore Crafts. The staff however seems nonexistent until you get to the check out lines. The store is for the most part neat. I like catching their sales prices. Inventory of items is decent, but you really have to get to the store at the right time after sale prices are announced.
