Showed up with a prescription looking to purchase two pairs of glasses, and was served most expertly. Katie was very friendly and articulate in her knowledge when answering all of my questions. Would highly recommend this business.

Don’t expect courtesy or professionalism at the Wal Mart optical dept. Despite having no customers, & 3 staff members, I spent almost 15 minutes making an appointment to come back later. This instead of letting me hand them the prescription & empty frames in my hand. Insanity. Thankfully, I found Terrell Optical a mile down Shorter Ave. & was treated like a person. They were fantastic, 10 minutes, in & out. And my new glasses will be ready tomorrow.

They had three young people working who were all conversing at the counter and continued to while we were attempting to figure out an appointment. They don’t take various forms of insurance, and claimed they wouldn’t have a very popular and common insurance for a “while” (couldn’t specify when). They had absolutely no customers in there, but wanted to book an appointment two months ahead when a person literally cannot SEE and needs glasses NOW. The doctor works weird hours apparently since he was not available on any of the days we requested. We are just going to drive the 45 minute to LensCrafters and get better quality glasses and eye care.

The Dr is great, but make sure you call ahead before you go to buy glasses. That is what i was told when I tried to make a purchase. I was in the store shopping for frames when the only licensed professional took a 1 hour lunch break. So the doors were open, the lights were on, but they couldnt sell me glasses. The lunch hour is not posted in any way, nor was I told WHILE I was in the process of picking out frames that they wouldnt be able to actually let me buy them.

Although the Dr was great, getting my glasses was a nightmare. Not to mention that they are NOT cheaper than everyone else. I was given a date to pick up my glasses only to be told they didnt know where they were. So they call me back late in the day and tell me they were sent to their lab out of the country and it would be 4-5 more days. Why were they sent out of the country? I dont know either. Unprofessional. Will not go back.
