This is a great place with great coffee as a local I will personally recommend this as a must try if your here. This has great coffee and smoothies. There is no replacement for this place. Love it!!!!Vikki was so nice and helpful. My morning coffee just brightened my day

I’ve been here twice in the recent past and had a pleasant experience. Friendly staff. I ordered beverages each time. I especially like the comfy chair options.Today I ran in for a cupcake to go. The chocolate vegan cupcake looked like it was going to be a winner. I took my first bite and immediately tasted staleness. I did take another bite to give it the benefit of the doubt, but no doubt that thing was stale and old. Is there anyway we can have more fresh baked goods here? What happened? Was this a fluke thing or do the baked good stay on the shelf for a while? I realize they’re not going to make anybody sick if they are old and that the café makes most of their money with beverages. But if these things are going to be sold customers expect them to be fresh.

I love Ruff Life and its owner. The drinks are amazing 😍 The lunch and breakfast food are great. I like the desserts, but if you have a nut allergy beware. Some of the baked goods are gluten free and dont have ingredients listed. It looks nut free, except for the almond flour. Tasty, but worth pointing out.

Had a great experience at this place! Staff was fast and friendly. Food and drink were great. Theres a lovely little nook to sip your tea in!The only thing this coffee shop needs is MORE DOGS! The logo and name made me think it was going to be dog themed! Theres only two dog pictures on the wall. The owners could definitely go farther with this theme, and it would be adorable!

My favorite coffee place to go. I wont go anywhere else. Food and coffee is good. Staff is friendly and inviting. They do their best to remember the drinks and food you order if you become a regular. Im gluten and lactose sensitive and they do their best to make sure the food properly prepared so I dont get sick. Their specialty foods are also super good!!

They make a very good coffee in front of you. So many flavors theyve got to add to yours. The best thing is its not very expensive. Mostly 20% cheaper price than Starbucks yet yummier.

I love coming here. The staff are always nice, the food and drinks are always good, and I make new memories here!! Stephanie was such a trooper today. She was the only one working and did a great job. She was a hard worker. Keep doing what you are doing Stephanie :)

Great coffee drinks, baked goods and lunch food. Lots of choices for children. Board games available to play. Friendly Batista, but its a little dark in there..thats my only complaint. There are vegan and gluten free options. So much to choose from. Yummmm!!

I was very happy. I had left the speak easy cafe up the road because I was treated poorly and came into ruff life and had a wonderful experience and great coffee and vegan options. Thank you very much.

Their selection of vegan cookies and other baked goods is delicious! Vegan options are very rare in Rutland, so I was really excited about seeing them here. Great coffee!

Cute shop with minimal, but modern decorations. I came in around 9 am on a weekday. There were two couples ahead of me and only one girl working. It took 25 minutes to even get to order a coffee. By that time, people behind me had left. My coffee was great when I finally received it but wouldn’t go back unless they hired more people or had faster service.

This is my favorite place in the town !! I moved here for a work assignment and Ruff Life has been a regular hang out for me on my days off . The vibe in here is open and chillax. The food is always fresh (and tasty), the best part being that sooo many of their options are vegan friendly ! (They have plenty meat options too) the food is so good . They make the drinks SO well here, the drinks are always balanced and never too sugary, never too bitter, coffee is always very fresh . I’m a huge Starbucks drinker but honestly star bucks taste like trash now ever since I started drinking stuff Life’s drinks.. I love this place . When my friends come visit me from out of town, I take them here . You won’t be disappointed .

Really enjoyed my real pumpkin late)) All made from locally grown. Nice laid back place where you can relax with friends and have a round of whatever board games they have laying around.

The other day eating this amazing salad and i was about half way through when i realized that there was the same amount of salad as there was in the beginning. it was great. salad forever. #saladlyfe. anyway im addicted to coffee and its okay because the coffee here is amazing...except when i have to park in the pit, that i dont suggest but ruff life is soulmate.

Wonderful coffee spot downtown Rutland, super friendly staff and pet friendly. There is usable wifi and 3 hour parking outside the store. Highly recommend the food and coffee of the day.

Ruff life is a fantastic little shop in the heart of Rutland. When you first walk in you will instantly be satisfied by the cozy/home like atmosphere, with a modern design theme. whether you are a coffee lover or tea enthusiast (like myself), you will be satisfied with their wide variety of both beverages. Have no fear if you are looking for a quick bite to go with your coffee or tea, they have a great menu of breakfast and lunch options; I highly recommend the sunrise sandwich. The menus are nicely displayed over the register, allowing you to easily decide on your order prior to getting up to the register, if you happen to find your self in a line at all that is. I was amazed with how polite the staff was and quick to have my order ready. It was also a breath of fresh area to be reassured they could accommodate my coworkers allergies if she should come in with me sometime. Over all I was highly impressed by this new little hot spot in Rutland and I only have high hopes that they continue to succeed with their business adventure.

Meh. Update: thanks for asking. Meh was not terribly productive. We stopped in on a Sunday morning for coffee and a pastry. The coffee was fine. The pastries looked stale and sad so we didnt get one. It could be that they were just leftovers from the week and not up to your normal standard. The shop was cute, the people were nice, service was a little slow but thats ok. Overall, it was just ok. We will give it another try next week as Ruff Life is definitely better than Stewarts for coffee: just not pastries at this point.

My favorite place for lunch! I can eat my Buffalo Chicken wrap and read my book and not be bothered.
