I am new to Sacramento (just moved here for grad school) and my 2008 Honda Fits Maintenance Reminder light had come on a while ago. Not knowing any other mechanics in the area, I decided to go to the Honda dealership center.Im quite busy with school and work, so finding time that accommodates both these schedules is already difficult. However, this morning I called in and they were able to make me an 11 am appointment (but I could bring my car in earlier) with a probable 2 pm pickup time.I brought my car in at 9:30 am, and my car was done and ready to pickup at noon! I really appreciate the quick and efficient service (the maintenance light went off too) because this car is my transport to get to and from work and school, and as a broke student, it needs to last me!Brittany, the service advisor, and Steven, the technician, were both amazing, and I 100% recommend this service center.
Very polite and professional even though they were shortstaffed and it was really busy. Free shuttle was promt and the guy was really friendly. There are cool old photos in the waiting area of Sacramento in the 1939s & 40s. Price was excellent and when they discovered my spare key battery was dead they put in a new one no charge.

I went in to get the code to bring to bring my systems up on my Honda Accord and was pleasantly surprised.The person that helped me took on a very hands on approach. She looked up all of the codes available and went to my car and inserted the codes to bring up my systems.They work great.
Very conveniently located downtown, so I was able to service my car while at work. The staff here are friendly and helpful. They did a thorough job on my car and it feels like new!
I needed a vehicle inspection following a car accident. Prior to coming in, the woman on the phone was so nice and police. Upon hearing my needs she transferred me to Kevin, who was very informative and provided great customer service. When I did come in, I waited in my car and was greeted almost instantly. Inside was sanitized thoroughly and they followed all COVID precautions, maintaining safety for everyone. Everyone there was so sweet and helpful. Overall it was such a breezy experience because of the great customer service.

Took car in for inspection and service. As usual the rep explained what was to be done and how long it would take. Luckily I arrived and was the only customer. It took about 1 hour to complete. I am a satisfied customer!

It Was Excellent Other Then They Told Us There Should Be No Fees We Picked Up Our Honda And There Was A Labor Fee Of 47 Dollars. Wish We Would Have Known That Cause That Was Dinner Money.

This place is very honest and reasonable for the cost of repairs. I dont think I can say the same for all other dealership facilities. Their staff is exceptional and willing to work with you. I would go to this place for all my services I need for all my Honda vehicles.
Best service & repair I’ve have ever received...ever. They go way out of their way to give superior service and the are hospitable. I had a routine service scheduled, but had to add a last minute repair. Most places would make you reschedule, but they were gracious and made time (did not have to they were busy). I told them I had to have the car for a long road trip, they had every chance to gouge me (especially with the extra repair) they just helped get back on the road. They are professional and really want you to walk away satisfied. This was unprecedented and unreal. I went in expecting the worst and was blown away. I truly believe this is how they conduct business everyday. Cat is the best!
Five calls in a row and unable to get a question answered over the telephone. (Do you price match? Its either yes or no, but apparently, this Mel Rapton does not answer phone calls).Decided instead to walk the three blocks to the center and question was answered immediately--the phones werent ringing off the hook, no other customer was there, which leads me to believe my calls were intentionally ignored each and every time.If you start off by ignoring your customers from the get-go, its hard to keep them as loyal customers.So Ill take my business elsewhere from now on and Ill recommend that others do the same.
Fantastic. The people there really know their business. Right downtown there off 12th and G Street lot of people dont know that you could go in there and get parts for your vehicles. The receptionist is the brightest and most friendliest people Ive ever met. And the mechanics are really know their stuff. It may be a collision service but it is also a place to where you can take your car and get it serviced and fixed and getting it done .they waste no time and they bill you for the time that they do. its one of the most honest places to take your vehicle to have you got a question they got the answer.
I really enjoy taking my vehicles to just this one spot for my Honda services
Cant say Im impressed by these folk. Ive been getting Your friends at Mel Rapton Honda email spam for years now, despite living, hmmm, 1000 miles away in Canada. Guess they acquired my contacts when I bought my Civic, in Canada. I wouldnt trust people with the ethics to spam email to provide honest garage services, silly me.
I dont understand some of the one-star ratings in this thread...Ive had my Acura serviced here since 2016 (Acura and Honda are basically the same vehicle). The front office staff have been friendly and responsive to my emails and phone calls. I always schedule an appointment, have never been turned away. Routine work is reasonably priced and they dont try to upsell me on unneeded stuff. Service has always been same-day, even for complex procedures like timing belt replacement and oil pump reseal. I work downtown, and really appreciate the convenience of this downtown service location.
Shoddy business practices... On my first visit, I was told that I need to get expensive replacement parts immediately - I went to a mechanic for a second opinion, and learned nothing was wrong. The mechanic also explained that whoever gave me my last oil change (Mel Rapton) did a sloppy job and spilled oil. Finally, on my most recent visit, I was told the procedure would take 2 hours so I booked an early morning appointment to have my car back for the day. Instead they held onto the car and took their sweet time. Not impressed and do not recommend.

Inconsiderate to all surrounding businesses. Treats the street like their own personal driveway, blocking traffic, leading to unsafe roads for both clients and bystanders alike. Very unprofessional.

They were able to bring in the part I needed by the next day and fit me in first thing in the morning. They went the extra mile by dealing with my third party warranty company to ensure reimbursement. Furthermore, they were very polite and helpful.
These guys have went above and beyond for me...theyve honored a Honda flyer from another dealership and theyve accommodated my shuttle request after their normal cutoff time when they didnt need to. I highly recommend them!

I was charged about $180 for an A/C fan relay replacement. Also, despite my car being there for over 4 hours they failed to perform a basic oil change because, apparently, it takes that long to perform the most obvious first step on an already diagnosed, simple fuse issue. Could have at least called me for confirmation on the repair.
Very disappointed. Ive had most of my oil changes done here. I called today to confirm I will be able to get a ride back to work, never before has it been an issue. The lady that answered the phone said its hit or miss, cant guarantee you a ride. Why would I drive there not knowing if I can get back to work.
I was in this morning. Thanks for being so honest by advising its not time to do a service when another garage said is had to be done. I will definitely be back.

Great experience. Made appointment and didnt have to wait around to hand over the car at 7am. In less than a day handled oil/filter change, replaced 2x airbags (recall), made OEM security chip key copy, alignment, full inspection including checking for a random odd tire/wheel noise I was hearing, and more.. The final diagnosis on the noise = no reproducible issue found so no charge. They could have easily charged for the diagnostic or tried to upsell brake job, bearing job, etc...but they didnt! Great honesty. They also tightened my rattling license plate (free) and unclogged/serviced the washer fluid spray jets (free)...nice attention to detail. All parts in stock and ready to go. Final cost was reasonable considering all the work done and UNDER initial estimate. Staff pleasant and professional. Its a bit more expensive than a momnpop shop, but felt like the Honda was in very good hands here. Thanks!edit: removing a star because Im pretty sure they scratched my cars roof paint pretty badly last time I was there a couple days ago.

Male rappers is good for the mechanic work that they do but they would take your arm and your leg if you let them so Ill try not to bring my car there for no major work because I will leave there was a hell of a bill I dont need any bills like that in my life my car runs great no matter who I take it to to do what I needed them to do but they take good care of me when I do go so I just cant afford to go there prices are too expensive for service department

They dont have rentals like their main location, but if you ask for Reuben you wont be disappointed. Anyone else is mediocre.

Made an appointment to have my car serviced and when arriving I was told they would not be able to look at my car that day. I asked what the purpose of the appointment was and they told me it was to just to set aside to talk to someone inside, not reserve a slot for the car to be worked on. Terrible mentality.

I was on a long trip from Tucson to Sacramento and my low tire pressure light came on. I fixed the pressure in my tires and continued on to Sacramento. After my arrival, I drove to Capitol City Honda to have my tires checked out and the low tire pressure light turned off. I did not have an appointment and they were very busy, but took care of me anyway. If I lived in Sacramento, Capitol City Honda is absolutely where I would go to get my Honda serviced. They were extremely cooperative and gracious and I appreciated them for squeezing me in like that.
