Thank You so much to Jay R for helping me get my 2nd Maita new Subaru!!:) Jay went above and beyond and made sure the whole process was fast and super easy! I saw what model Subie I wanted online and what I wanted it to have, and he made sure I got the exact car I was looking for! Thank you so much Jay for your hard work! I worked with a guy named Chris, who went way beyond the standard. I have been looking for a specific part for about a year, and every dealership I’ve talked to just basically takes the easiest route and tells me it’s not available. But Chris called me to explain why, and gave me all my options. He supplied me with the proper numbers and contacts to get a release for the part I wanted, and worked with Subaru to have to delivered. These guys are awesome! I live up in Oregon, and will be using this parts department for most of my Subaru needs because of this.

Maita Subaru refused to complete a recall issued from Subaru. I called them a week in advanced to schedule the appointment, however they neglected to notify me that they would not be able to complete the request because it was not a “safety recall. They then had me call Subaru corporate to request for them to pay for the recall or else I would have to pay for it myself out of pocket. This was all after sitting in my vehicle for 15 minutes while waiting for a service advisor that never came out to assist until I walked into the lobby as their courtesy bay was blocked by all the cars waiting to be serviced so they couldnt see me waiting in my car per their service department signs instructions. Needless to say I will be taking my business elsewhere to avoid the unnecessary headache in the future. Im giving them 2 stars since they agreed to fix the safety recall.

I needed a replacement trim piece for a fog light. Maita Subaru had it in stock, at a very good price. The Parts guy even helped me put it on the car. Very pleased, happy customer.

They are friendly BUT I have a 2002 outback that I bought new from them. Now they tell me they cant get many of the parts for this car and the service department even refuses to do diagnostics.

Buying experience was better than any other Subaru dealer in the area.Salesman brought cars into shade and turned on the A/C so we could look at them and not die in the heat! Other dealers said no and made us suffer looking outside in the heat with no shade.These people really want to sell you a car. And believe me they will!Subarus are the best cars you can buy for the price and this buying experience will make it even better!

WARNING: This is a long & detailed review and the last paragraph wishes the company may pay attenttion to but the gist is: Not agreeing of 2019 Best Car Dealership award & why. REASON: There are other small but not so known shops in the area, like Sacramento Specialty Automotive, who transacts business with more transparency backed by pictures/videos of a problem/s needing attention before asking clients to make quality & educated decisions, but Maita Subaru does not. Maita Subaru only explains via checklists, which is hard for layperson to comprehend of the nitty gritty of a problem. EFFECT: client, as a captive market, oftentimes, pay for services/products, which may not be necessary or there should have been other cheaper alternatives. RESULT: Clients find out some lack of transparency & feel ripped off when the transaction has been complete & becomes hard to contest. To make a point, see below.Todays transaction is a sample lack of transparency & is related to previous non-transparent transaction happened sometime Dec 2018 & 2019 which only now surfaces. In Dec 2018 purchased 4 new tires & automatically eligible of the 24 month Subaru Tire Hazard Program. Sometime Dec 2019, in a matter of only 3 days, 2x had nail tire puncture. On 1st puncture it was patched free of charge. On the 2nd puncture, was charged $40 because the service supervisor said it was a different tire but NO PICTURES TO PROVE before processing transaction but had to proceed based on trust on supervisor recommendation. Today, about 9:45 AM, 3/30/30 came again for 3rd puncture on right front tire; tried to ask for warranties but was told not applicable. Was asked to wait about 1.5 hours; I did. After 2 hours wait, service supervisor stated again no warranties & not repairable BUT DID NOT PROVIDE PICTURES of the gravity of problem why not patchable & whether or not puncture happens on one of the tires that were punctured sometime Dec 2019 (note: there was 1 tire rotation service done from Sacramento Specialty Automotive shop sometime 1st week of Feb. 2020).The options given was either: to buy 4 new tires or buy 1 tire & shave it off to 6/22 tread depth for $ 245 to match with the other 3 tires. The staff claims, all wheel symmetical drive transmission system may fail if tread depth on all tires do not match. Having NO PICTURES/EVIDENCE to make an educated decision I bought the 4 tires while INSISTING I WILL BRING ALL USED TIRES HOME. I have to wait another about 1.5 hours & at payment time, I saw the 24 month Subaru Tire Hazard Program & found out that nail punctures are among the benefits. Before payment, I ASSERTED & shown the flyer to the staff about nail puncture coverage. The staff hesitantly read & discussed with other team in parts department & even had to call the hotline written on program flyer. Meaning, the terms & conditions are not clear even to some staff at supervisory positions & they may have been charging unsuspecting, docile clients. Cutting story short, staff charged 3/4 tires because I asserted about Subaru Hazard Tire Program coverage; also, realized that the fees collected for the 2nd puncture sometime Dec 2019 should also have been free of chargeThese experiences point out to transparency issues & should question about 2019 Best Car Dealership Award, why? 1) Had I not discovered about terms & conditions, i could have been charged for 4 tires instead of 3, 2) the charges collected for the 2nd puncture on Dec 2019 should also have not been charged, 3) I was able to compare how Sacramento Specialty Automotive provides photo/videos to clients allowing informed quality decisions sparing them from costly & hard to contest mistakes once transactions are completeI will go back to Sacramento Specialty Automotive for my future car maintenance & hopes Maita Subaru improves on their transparency systems with photos/videos to their clients, who are oftentimes not knowledgeable, if they want to keep to reap awards; otherwise, it is just a useless award in paper only

I have been going to the automall dealership for 2 years now, and will say that the Maota subaru is so much better in regards to customer and car service. I feel that the people at Maita actually try to help, compared to the other dealership that just doesnt give a comfortable vibe. Definitely recommend this dealership to Subaru owners over other dealerships.
