A nice place to go when you want to buy an interesting book or magazine. Slightly scant floorspace only allows for small quantities of inventory but they are willing to order books if you wish to. Knowledgeable associates will assist in your search for a particular publication and the atmosphere is cheerful and upbeat. This store is a must shop for all your literary needs including beginning readers who are looking to expand on their literary interests.

Excellent selection! Perfect for choosing your next book. Also, excellent choice of games and thoughtful toys for pre-teens. Fun!

I love independent bookstores, but this is not my favorite. The selection is very small and they prominently display dangerous pseudoscience books about things like vaccines causing allergies and viruses not causing disease. I’d rather spend money places that don’t support that kind of thing.

An independent bookstore that has a bit if everything! Including games, toys, kites and stocking stuffers. Very large selection of childrens books. Very welcoming atmosphere and knowledgeable and helpful staff.

The joy of reading a real book, with real pages is lost in our electronic world. Great selection, good suggestions for kids of all ages. We must keep the real bookstores alive. Shop local. Browse, ask questions or just enjoy wandering. Cool people, good prices that rival online, and you get to feel the book! Critical for kids and adults.

Excellent local book store that my wife and I love stopping into. Well either buy a puzzle, book, card or to simply browse. The staff here are always welcoming and willing to help. Id recommend this book store to any friend.

One of the last great book stores left. After Boarders and Amazon massacred the local book industry this little place has survived. Im so glad because its very nice to just mull around and brouse some books. The staff is very kind and can get you almost any book in a few days.

Loved the trip to the bookstore! I have not been there before--this is my first time visiting this place. And it was a nice time to visit because it was in the evening, and it was w/my adult sons--so much so i am going to go back on my own. It was peaceful, quiet, and spacious especially outside--there was plenty of parking, and in the shade!! 😀 i look forward to my next visit 👍

I love independent bookstores, great service

Up until my visit to Avid Reader at Broadway Station, I had not realized that there are bookstores that cater to different audiences. I had done the best I could searching the Internet for titles that I picked up looking for authors of Dark Fantasy such as Robert E. Howard.

Nicest helpful staff. They order books that arent in store. I appreciate their cards, books and staff. Been a customer from the years at Tower

Charming childrens area. I wasnt greeted when I arrived, which is one of the reasons I enjoy independent retailers, but it might have been different another day. Whimsical arrangement of books, but you can find what you need because everything is labeled.

Everyones favorite neighborhood bookstore. If they dont have the book youre looking for, they can order it and usually have it in stock within the week. Huge childrens section. Cards and bookmarks and small gifts, as well as magazines. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Avid Reader also had a stamp card program. Support your local bookstore!

Support your locally owned bookstore. There are so many massive corporations destroying these lovely local business. This place has a community identity with staff that actually reads and will be able to help you find that next book and next author. This place is great.

Love, love, love this bookstore! I ordered a book and it arrived when she said. She even called to let me know when it came. Unfortunately, I had an emergency that took me out of state so I was unable to go back to pick it up. The store has a very nice feel and good amount of selection. Stop in when you can!

They have many great books at good prices but the neighborhood is rather scary looking.

I was looking for books as gifts and the staff person spent a good amount of time helping me find them. After I got home, I realized I mistakenly left one of my books there, and the owner of the Avid Reader himself was kind enough to drop it by my house (I live a distance from The Avid Reader, and I am on foot). I am very grateful, an will support this bookstore

It has replaced the old tower books store. They have a decent selection and can order almost anything for you that isnt currently in stock. The magazine rack is also cool.

They have a good selection. However, Im rather disappointed that they are not always open when they say they will be. I stopped by at 8:30pm (the advertised closing time online and in the store window is 9) and they were closed.

Always glad to give local shops my business. Avid Reading is definitely worthy of support. Give five star service every time. Glad I have AR to go to instead of the box stores.

The store has moved further easy on Broadway on the north side. Its between the light rail station and Andy Nguyen s restaurant.
