Big 5 has horrible customer service. One day my son wanted to get a new basketball, so i took him. First of all when i went to get the basketballs they werent pumped and when i asked someone to give me a pump, they didnt have one. This just shows that they put no effort in in maintaining there products. I give this review a 1 star and I do not recommend this store.

Since the new manager came that her name is Rashida(African-American) the store changed alot! She is so rude, impolite, has bad behavior, and never knows how to serve her customers.I had been going there for a long time and knew everyone over there and also they knew me very well but when I met her for the first time and asked her to show me a knife, after a while that I have never heard anything from her and went back and came again then I asked “can I see the green knife?!) after ignoring me again for a long time, she glanced at me and said, “ you should say EXCUSE ME, can I see the green knife!!”It was unbelievable for me!I just run out with a big head!

At the 5 Sporting Good had to gentleman help me get the right pair of shoes for my feet it was a great experience. I definitely will be going back to Big 5.

Went their to buy compression socks for my mom, and the lady at the front wasnt so welcoming. Although An employee named JAKE was very helpful. Thank God you have him to show me where the socks are instead of saying there at the shoe area. Jake saved the sale. Thank you.

This location is way better than the big 5 on manzanita. The customer service is much better. Also they have a lot of sales on different apparels. It seems like they care more here

Didnt even know what a Swimmers Sham is

Its frustrating when you show up to a business and the hours havent been updated. The hours posted on Google says that the store is open at 9, but it doesnt open until 9:30 on Friday and 10am most other days. So Im spending a half hour waiting in the parking lot -_-

The only thing I buy at Big 5 are shoes. I just picked up 2 pairs of sneakers for my man which he needed desperately cuz his other ones were embarrassing to look at and stinky too. He liked both pairs.

Lack of the size I needed. The employees didnt know the product or where it was located in the store. The employees talk to each other the whole time and had to be interrupted to ask a question.I do like Big 5 and in the past Ive had a good experience at other stores

Staff was a bit rude and unhelpful, but the manager stepped in found what I was looking for and another staff member magically appear and took over very helpful. So my feeling was they didnt appreciate a unhelpful staff member either and I got exactly what I was looking for at a great price

They make you wear a mask and make you buy one if you forget one. the manager was rude. Im going down the street to the local gun store instead

People working there needs to work on customer service 5 of them were more interested is taking to one another than helping any customers the guy in the shoe department was helpful i was thinking about buying a baseball glove no pricing on any of them and worker still talking to each other wanted to ask a question at the gun desk had to raise my arm up to get help looked like there were 5 or six employees and saw 2 customers goog luck in the future

Been shopping at Big Five stores for over 25 years. The service I received at this store was the poorest I ever experienced. Asked a simple question and received a vague response and then ignored. Employees were busy visiting amongst themselves and I seemed to be a burden to them. -1 star

The people here were really nice and they help me set up the tennis ball rack I really appreciate how nice a word to me since they didnt really have to help me with that and they had stuff on sale in the store.

Years ago I purchased guns and ammunition from this company.. But when I have gone to the store, they have no selection of rifles or shot guns.Sad day for Big 5 Sporting Good.I live in a neighborhood with lots of degenerate low life scum. I was hoping to pick up a shot gun and some shells for personal protection, just in case.

Great selection of boots. I like the Hi-Tec brand after owning a pair for 2 years and beating them to death daily. Went back for another pair and the same employee helped me as last time. Every time Ive been there, the employees have been helpful. Ive always been greeted at the entrance and asked if Im finding what I need. I havent been disappointed going here. I love Big 5. I get all my Asics running shoes theyre when they go on sale. Today I was picking up some ski goggles that they had on sale. They were out of one brand but they had another brand that fit perfectly. Its weird they say theyre ladies goggles - WTF? The staff is always friendly and the store is well organized

Small store and well kept inside, outside needed to be picked up a little. At first the shoe dept didnt help with shoe fitting. But then we got the service with the smile and helped with all of our needs. The cashier was friendly and helpful. I will return for future sports or outside needs.

I wanted to buy a sleeping bag they had on display, but I didnt see on the shelf. The person I asked said they would get a salesperson. I stood there 10+ minutes without anyone coming over, or even walking within calling distance. As I left I saw them happily BSing by the counter. This is why people dont go to stores and just order stuff online. But I wont order from Big 5s online store, just on principle.

One of the few sporting good retailers left in town. Great for common sporting goods like equipment, clothing, and camping. Not a huge store but has a variety of sports products on its shelf. if toyr looking for something less mainstream, Id call first. There is also ordering online and picking up in store.

Usually have sporting goods at low prices...today i went to find a snow jacket for my teenager and they had a great selection, plus good prices.

I love the feel of this place, it has a nostalgic small-town feel to it. It covers your typical athletic sports and other outdoor activities like camping, fishing, and whatever people do with guns and knives. It has a fair selection of brands and reasonable prices but you might need to look elsewhere for specialty or high-end items

I was trying to get shoes, and the guy said they had the shoe further back but he didnt want to go look for them because they MIGHT be hard to find. He didnt even attempt to look in the back. I normally dont leave reviews but this was very frustrating because he was simply too lazy to get the shoe.
