I bought a pellet rifle for my sons & I that had loading issues.Come to find out that it was a manufacturers defect the pellets would not fit in the loading stock. So I took it back to the store and the only one available was the display rifle. I then took that home and found out that the fire mechanism did not work. The manager at the time understood and help me out he called another Big five on florin and explain to them the issues that I had twice and asked if they had any 25 caliber pellet rifles of the same brand available & if so I can do an even exchange.They said yes they did.And,he asked would they be willing to give me with a 10% discount on top to help compensate on my gas for my travels. And they said yes 😁. My greatly appreciated it and the new rifle Ive gotten my sons and I been working just fine,thanks👍From: Mike Combs sr

The black female manager Sherily or whatever her name is has made my experience here the worst. Shes so petty she called other big 5 around the area so they would reject my return as if were coming out of their paycheck. I suggest you shop at amazon or walmart or any other retail store so you dont ever have to experience such rudeness.(prices are the same) This manager is so bad she called security when I asked to speak to her manager and walked off treting me like a thief.

Ill never return to this store location. Before the pandemic I came here with my elderly father to browse through some of the fishing gear that was being sold. Never thought that the store manager and his security would act like we were stealing. The manager even went as far as to ask my father if he was going to buy anything. Weve never been so disrespected in our lives. If you want a better shopping experience go to Greenhaven. They treat you better as a customer. Thats where we make our big 5 purchases now.

My fiance and I went to purchase a Below zero Sleeping bag for the snow weather but unfortunately they didnt have any at the Mack Rd store. The salesman I did not catch his name I forgive me for that.He made a phone call to the Lodi store and asked if they had this particular sleeping bag. They had three of them available and asked if we would be willing to go to Lodi. My fiance and I agreed we would go to Lodi and purchase the sleeping bag, which he did.The 2 women working the registers were having issues with the computer. However it didnt take long and purchased the sleeping bag. I also purchased some under amour slip ons (2) and some socks.Great employees and great customer service!

I went there looking for some old school Filas the white ones with the actual rubber bottoms not the foam bottoms they didnt have them but I got to E-Z Up 12 x 12 real cheap for 99 bucks I bought some cheap Filas.

I like Big 5 Porting Goods. Sales staff is always friendly and helpful. Its a little pricey to me, but convenient because its close to home. I always find what Im looking for though. This store although smaller then some others appears to have just about everything.

THE COOLEST STORE!!!!!0 2 mangers and several amazing employees have met were so awesome! They were so helpful my dang air mattress had hoped and I tried the patch that came with the bed. I did everything and it was lost cause I went and got another crappie mattress for 35 not 100$ best Christmas deals ever. Well, I had the receipt it was well within the 30 days and bam. I werent in to return items so pain-free... and they sadly the 2nd new one is not working there isnt a whole the valve isnt working but we live it

Cool store with a ton of stuff. She. We were there they had 3 floor staff walking around the tiny little store basically bugging people. I say that because they kept saying Im here if you need assistance and everyone said OK, then theyd try again. Overstated for sure. The other thing was like half the store had no price tags on things.. Which was lame because we were trying to price out cheap stuff for a camping trip. Other then that tho they had alot of stuff and the things that did have prices werent that bad even tho they have to find a way to pay 5 staff members doing nothing.

I didnt have my drivers license yet, while trying to buy a fishing license, and they said that I needed one. This is false, because immediately after I told them to check, they were able to give me one, using my birth certificate.Funny thing is, I asked them if I can use a birth certificate, to which they said, No, with such confidence. They should be embarrassed.Overall, good store. Its just the employees making an ass of themselves.

I walked in with employees just talking among themselves with no greetings or welcoming towards me. After a few seconds of me walking in, the employees all scattered their own ways throughout the store. I needed help looking for sleeping bags. None of them asked if I needed help with anything, so I looked for the sleeping bags myself, I asked for help in the sleeping bags area at the check out desk and they said they would send someone over to help me. I waited a while for customer service in the sleeping bags area when all the employees were standing around doing nothing or just walking around. I got tired of waiting and left. Horrible service.

Came in for 2 boxes of ammo waited about 10 mins to get it. Which is no biggie, it can take some time when you are at the gun/ammo counter. The associate walked our boxes to the front register. The Asian girl at the register was helping another customer with his hunting pass and than proceeded with 2 more for the same thing in their group. Never once did she acknowledge the 6 people now waiting in line or call for anyone to come over and help her. As I walked around the store I saw 3 other employees doing absolutely nothing. Poor customer service!!! What should have been at 10-15 min encounter from start to finish ended up being almost 40 mins. Stay away from this Big 5!!!!
