These people just want to make a quick buck. Bought a car two days ago and had to return it the next day because of mechanical issues. I even asked if there were any problems with the car before finishing paperwork.

Know the car you want when you go in. Have an idea what you want your monthly payment to be. If your credit score is low and you dont have a co-signer, be prepared to pay a large down payment. Frequently check their website. Many of the cars I was interested in were shown on their website, but were already sold.

I bought a gmc acadia here about 3 months ago as is and believe me when i say dont trust this place when they tell you that your car or truck is fixed if they have to fo some kind of motor work because i took my truck for a complete inspection at fire stone and took it back to the dealership to have yhem fix it and they kept my truck for 5 days and did nothing to fix it. And whenni picked it up they said it was all fixed and read to go. Well they lied to me big time.. i went on a family trip with my children and my truck over heated again i took it to a mechanic in LA and they showed me the old water pump and said this was never changed and it was all bad and im still leaking power steering fluid this dealership is not a good place to buy from THEY LIE 🤥

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I’ve ever had with any car sales .. was sold a car 2 days before Xmas that was advertised 4wheel drive with no problem and safety inspected.. that was not what I got.. they sold me a car with No AWD, BAD HEATER CORE No heat, BAD TRANSMISSION, tail light out, oil leak. Bad struts.. And told me that they would fix in there shop by the same mechanic that did the inspection.. I found out all the problems that are wrong with the vehicle After taken it to three different shops to have them look at all the problems..All out of my own pocket..PLEASE DO NOT Purchases a vehicle from these people they will rip you off and not think twice about it.. the car now sits not running and having to part out to get a little of my $ back.

Before pulling off the lot I notice tire pressure sign on, u tell them and they said the sensor was broke . I drive to fruitridge and my tire is completely flat and tire shop guy said my tires was trash . Bought a car from them took it home parked it left it for a week 4th of July I pulled it out to go visit family drove it 100 miles in the motor seized up theyre acting like this my fault no check engine light on the car took it to the shop had it diagnosed car came back with 30 fault codes they clear the codes if you buy a car from these guys make sure you have a diagnostic telling you whats going on with that car before you buy it

This place is good only if you are trying to build your credit their cars will not get you very far and you probably will be making payments longer than your car will lasts. Me and my husband jump through there hoops for five days about 3 to 4 hours a day trying to get a family car. The day we were driving off the lot with the car on our way home it shut off in the middle of the road during rush hour thank God my five kids were not in the car we eventually got it running and took it back to the dealership and because they were closing they said we will check it out and made us find a ride home, not offering us a replacement car or a way to get home, it has been over a week that they have been working on my car and it still is not done every time I call to get an update they tell me to call back in 20 minutes then for some reason again they say it will be better if you call back in an hour like they have a script. My cousin bought a car from this place and the exact thing happened to her I thought just because it happens to one car may not happen to the other plus the car we were buying was A lot newer but I was so wrong I strongly discourage anyone from buying a car from this place if you can afford it go somewhere else

Bad place to business, I test drive 4 vehicles, 2 of them have powertrain problems, 1 have electrical problems and the one I bought 1 week later have cooling problems and oil leaks 2 months later fuel leaks inside the engine, pus before signing the contract they said that the financial company increase the price when we talked to this comp, they said it was the dealer, so I talked to the seller and he was rude to us, so I totally regret about this car buying 😡😡

The transaction started off well or so I thought, I was lied to on several accounts, the car I bought wasnt ready to be sold, they said theyd fix things up it took 3 months just to get the ac/heat working I have taken the car in for work multiple times still have much need, which I am going to a professional with, now only to find out the price for the vehicle that was agreed upon had been written over with a new price that was not agreed on or spoken about and faxed over to a financial service, dont buy here, if you do read all your paperwork before you leave the door. Its not good enough to read it as youre filling the paperwork out, changes can be made while they claim to be copying and faxing....never again

When I went to thrifty car sales I was immediately greeted by a fine gentleman named David and he was really helpful in showing me all the cars that i wanted to and also worked with me in getting the best prices that worked for me. Overall I would 100 percent recommend this place to anybody.

Don’t go here. They sell you a lemon and then they don’t ever want to get back to you. They kept putting it off. Bought my car in July probably responded to me like 5 times compared to as how many times I had to reach out to them. I was out of a car for like 2 weeks before they finally sent my car to a repair shop. Probably had my car fixed once only for the issue to come back with the same issue. I was still under their 30 day warranty which was never fulfilled. I can’t even drive my car now. The car buying experience is a more hate than a love relationship.

Please everyone save your money and time! Go somewhere else no matter how bad you’re in need of a car. This place is horrible!!! I have no idea how they’re still in business. I bought a car from them later to find out it had been in an accident after their sales guy Luis assured me the car had no prior accidents. The actual value of the car was much much much lower than what I bought it for because of the accident. I went back to the dealer and relayed my frustration and their employees answer was “Well if I were you I would have done my “homework” before coming here” seriously??? Horrible customer service! This place is a scam!

Horrible customer service, we bought a truck on Christmas day and come to find out it didnt have any oil in it so we had to take it back in for an oil change. Left it overnight and were promised it would be returned asap the next morning since it was going to be the first car there. Found out its been sitting at jiffy lube for 3hrs because no one felt the need to pick it up. Called the dealer to ask what was going on and was told it had been ready for pick up hours ago, yet it was still sitting at jiffy lube. It wasnt until we called to let them know it was parked there that they went to pick it up. Finally got it back and spoke to the general manager who seemed to put the blame on everyone else instead of a adressing the issue. They lack a tremendous amount of customer service skills.

My husband tried to get a 2008 GMC arcadia with 23k miles on it. When David first approached he quoted the car at $8999. He brought the price all the way down to 7498.00 we felt 6999.00 would be a fair price considering the miles, but it didnt work out and we left. Got home and looked at the inventory they had to offer and the same 2008 GMC was offered at 5999. Will never do business this place.

Very unprofessional, rude and they sell cars that don’t work and end up breaking down on you in a week or two.

I wish I didnt have to even give them a star. I bought a Chevy tahoe from them kept bringing it back for repairs and they never found anything wrong, finally three weeks later my transmission went out. I had to go thru the warranty and it took 2 weeks for them to even send some one out poor customer service.

I had a great experience at Thriftys. Francisco listened to what I was looking for in a car and found just what I was looking for. He also explained everything very well.

Do not do business with this car lot. Not even a month after I got a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu from them it started breaking down. They promised to fix it and any other damage to bring it in and it will be fixed. They fixed the problem and the next day it occurred again. I took it back and it was again fixed. Now 6months after I am already looking to replace this car. I am paying off the grand total of 10000 they wanted for it and I went to another lot and was told my car wasnt even worth 5000 due to the condition and damage. Come to find out I have several holes in my engine that were patched up by an enormous amount of electrical tape and told the car was in superb condition only needing new brakes. My car needs a new transmission transmission pan a new hose new spark plugs and loads more. This car lot is extremely overpriced and full of run down cars. I will never recommend them to anyone. Not to mention they said my damages are now on me but at first they would fix anything anytime bring it in. If you are looking for a used car you would probably have better luck looking on the side of the street at abandoned for sale cars or on Craigslist. Thrifty is the worst lot Ive ever been to. My 2000 Lexus I got on Craigslist had less miles and lasted me 3 years until I got into an accident. So sorry I did business with them.

My friend bought a car here she had the worst experience ever. They where deceptive they over charge her 603.00 to pay the backed up plates on her car, they said she had to pay a fee of 463.00 just in case she wanted to return the car in less than 3 days she had said no and still charge her for it. The sales staff at Thrifty Car Sales are only polite when you are there to buy the car after you start the process they are very demanding and disrespectful. On behalf of my friends i do not recommend this dealership.

First off, trash place. Its 2018 and they barely have computers? The ones they do feel like some 2006 machines. Secondly, they do not respond back after you bought a car. When i was interested in a car i would bet 1-5min responses. Now i bought the car and im lucky if i get a response all day.. these google reviews im sure are fake. Check YELP. If i could give less stars it would be in the negatives. Dont trust these people.

They made the paperwork for my mother in law in order for her to get her car, but they recommended her to have a consigned in order for her to get a car, now it comes up that she wasnt even in the loan!!! And the consigner is the legal owner of the car, so he basically took it from her without notice with all the law backing him up bc these people didnt fill up the paper work as they said they would. Now she doesnt have a car and all the money she paid for the car all this time is basically lost. Will NEVER do business with them and strongly recommend people to not come here either!

I share very similar experiences as CAROLINE MARTINEZ JUAN LOPEZ AND DAN STEELE. Seeing these reviews further brings truth to the type of business this establishment runs.I was sold a 2005 Dodge Magnum by Sales Rep. Artudo in March 2018, who seemed to provide the customer care one person would need. A few weeks later I called because the vehicle I purchased had resistance while I was driving. I kept hesitating or powering off. So one of the sales rep. transferred me to Rachelle, we schedule a date, a few days later they said it was resolved. Id left an MP3 PLAYER, a cell phone and a book of CDS. All where gone. I get into a heated exchange with Artudo as well as the mechanic. Rachelle said it was my fault I left them in my vehicle and honestly it was my fault for not taking out my personal belongings. At the time I didnt think to ask for the receipt. About a week later check engine light is back on, car is hesitating same diagnoses. I went to the dealer immediately, brought my IPOD to record the conversation and asked to speak to Artudo. He arrives about a half hour later, I said, look the check engine light is back on, if you sold me a lemon I will report this establishment. I need this situation resolved and I need to see my documents, also see what was done by your mechanic. Artudo and Rachelle both head into the office to discuss something, he comes out and says they dont keep any of the receipts done by the mechanic that they would have to call him so that he can bring documents of the work that was done. And they asked if I would like to get another Maintenance work done. I told them this vehicle is a lemon and that I would like to exchange my vehicle for another. The financing man comes into the conversation and says that the car would have to be worked on 3-4 times within warranty for it to be considered a lemon. Artudo and I sit down to go threw documents as he was doing so, he noticed my IPOD recording, so he gets upset and says he doesnt have to provide any further information. So I asked to speak to the manager in charge, he states that he is the manager. After all was said and done, result was I had to schedule for my vehicle to be serviced and that it is still under warranty. Which was true. So that IS what I did but I went back with the mechanic to have an actual visual of him diagnosing the reasoning for check engine light to be on. I take a picture of it and head home. A few days later they said my car was ready. So I bring it home. Check engine light comes back on, I ignore it because the financing guy said these are used cars now in days these newer vehicles are computerized so any little thing will spark up the engine light to go on. I Ignore it. Then two weeks go by and my car shuts down in the freeway. I turn off to the side. to get it powered on it ignites. I go through this for another week it either wouldnt turn on going into work or after work or on a slowed traffic or stopped traffic. Four different occasions with that month. So I call to take it in, Rachelle tells me that it is no longer under warranty and that I would have to go to someone else. I went into the dealership itself to ask for print outs, Rachelle said that I would have to contact the mechanic.I gave up, I feel hopeless, I feel because I was a first time buyer they took advantage. It is now 9/17/2018, Ive taken the vehicle into the DODGE dealership twice, the INTAKE MANIFOLD SYSTEM needed to be replaced. Im going to see what can be done legally to get resolution.

Once they sell you a car, the salesmen will try avoid your every call and every visit, cause I promise youll be calling back and visiting them often because of car problems, they just stress me out and Thrifty will just stack problem on top of problems for you. Purchase a car at your own risk.

It should be no stars. I talked on the phone with the sales person several times. I explained my situation which was a bad one and difficult. I was looking at three trucks under 9k. I was told you me if them sold but the other two were available as well as the fact that they had “many other trucks under 9k” I had a third down and was told over and over that I was approved and good to go just bring the down sign and I was done. I even explained that I had been told the same thing before and we had gone all the way to Roseville only to find we had been lied to just to get us there. Again “no no no, your good to go, come in... when can you be here?” We set an appointment for 1030 Monday morning and my wife and I drove over 100 miles feeling relieved and optimistic. We arrived to find first, sales guy wasn’t in and wouldn’t be until after 12. Second, they had none of the trucks from the website. Third, they had NO trucks under 9k. Why? On the website they not only still had the ones I was looking at but several others all under 9k. It was explained that those were the “internet” prices... every single vehicle on the lot was actually a minimum of 5k more than the price on the website. We have not EVER been lied to and treated as poorly as we were that day. It was disgusting, absolutely diagusting. IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE. THAT IS ONLY MY ADVISE BASED ON WHAT WAS DONE TO US. We didn’t even receive an apology... nothing. . . Unprofessional and undeserving of anyone’s business. Thank you for your time I hope this helps.
