Allow me to explain the 2.5 stars. They seem to have a very good selection of both plants and other Garden accessories. For this they deserve five stars. I give them a one star for the way I was treated.There was a pool of standing water and mud (slippery) right next to the cacti, so when I unexpectedly slid out, my hand went right into a cactus. My hand immediately started bleeding even with the spines still in, so I went to ask for Band-Aids. I alerted the woman at the checkout counter of what had happened so she could correct it and so that no one else suffered the same, and her response to me was You have to be careful out there. I wasnt looking for an apology, but I certainly was not looking for a lecture or criticism.As I pulled about 7 spines out of my hand and washed and bandaged it, she disappeared (apparently to put up caution signs) and when she returned, she avoided me. Not once did they acknowledge the situation as anything but my fault. The aisles are fairly narrow and if you are looking at plants, you are not looking at the ground. I consider myself fit with good core strength, so thankfully I did not fall. My hand still hurts and is bruised and swollen. One of the spines went into my vein.

Excellent customer service and beautiful plants! Im totally new to gardening and was getting no help at all from big-box store garden centers - which I shouldve known, but I was afraid a small nursery would either be too small to have a good variety or would be way more expensive. Wrong on both counts. Fair Oaks seemed to have more, and happier plants, at about the same price. And best of all, they were super helpful, taking time to answer all my questions and help me find the right size, look, and hardiness. If I can manage to keep these alive, Ill definitely be back!

They have so many beautiful, well cared for plants. The prices are not too bad. Also, they have a black and white shop kitty who is adorable. I found the fancy begonia I was looking for!

My experience here was truly a great one, they have an outstanding selection of flowers. I was amazed with the roses available, not only did they produce exceptionally large flowers but almost every variety had a strong unique fragrance. I was helped by an employee named RD who was very knowledgeable about every question I had and was able to give thoughtful recommendations.

Frequent flyer here! The staff is always extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We bought most of us garden veggies and fruits here and couldn’t be happier. The bark is great, too!

One of the absolute best nurseries Ive ever been to! The plants are vast, healthy and well arranged for display. The only thing I wasnt pleased about was the condition of the aquatic plants; many of them were unhealthy and overpriced, but besides them, the rest of the plants were amazing.

I go here way too often and spend too much money on plants that I then have to spend a lot of time caring for, but I love it so very much. Their selection of plants is mind-blowing. They also have a crazy abundance of gardening supplies, lawn decor, pots, soils and fertilizers, etc. Their gift shop is lovely and filled plant-related and non-plant related things. They have a bunch of super friendly and knowledgeable staff and they even have a book resource section (also some plant books for sale).They seem a little more expensive than big box stores, but the quality of the plants seems better plus, theyre paying for way more staff and overhead than big box store. Totally recommend this spot!

The atmosphere is wonderful. The setting is calm and inviting. The staff is friendly and courteous. And the plants are healthy.

A high quality nursery. I appreciate the different varieties of shrubs, fruit trees, seasonal fruits amd flowers. The displays are fabulous. Great fairy gardens with items and plants to purchase to make your own. I was able to find unique plants like carnivorous plants and a monkey puzzle tree. I will return.

Solid service, nice staff with good knowledge, and great selection. No landscaper sadly but that wont stop me from shopping here first.

A sign on the door that reads extremely short staffed please be patient. This is no problem I dont mind waiting in line or whatnot. They had at least 6 people working. But they would not let me or my older mother use the bathrooms stating they closed due to covid. You know what Im just over it. Its a bit late in the game to not have the proper PE equipment to clean your own businesss bathrooms. I told the employee it was a bit of a bathroom emergency and they were unmoved. We had to leave and go to Raleys to use the restroom and overall this nursery looks run down and plants look old and too big for their pots. Crowded with inventory that looks a bit beat up. I dont see myself returning here to purchase any plants.

My first visit left a great impression. I accompanied a friend looking for a condolence gift, and we were really impressed with the selection. She also inquired about a tree, and while the clerk wasnt too familiar with the variety, she worked very hard to get the information needed.Also, while we came for a gardenia, we stayed for the hundreds of butterflies. Our cute, new orange friends certainly gave us a great impression about the health and quality of the plants here. Well definitely be back.

The grounds are so inviting with lush greenery, and colorful blooms. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Walking around you stumble upon different park-like settings. Look for the elephant and discover a tropical delight. Highly recommended.

I had passed this place numerous times from and to my way home. However, it looked as if it dealt in garden sculpture more than actual garden supplies. Then I gave it a try, and found that like medieval walled cities the party is on the inside. From the knowledgeable caring staff to the overwhelming supplies for both an American or English garden, you will be impressed. Stop by, but take the truck.

We came all the way from Los Banos. A 2 hour commute and was about 15 minute off. The whole staff was still there. All we asked was to evenly trade some plants we had bought. But we were rudely rejected from this request. Debby has a very bitter, heartless, and had a hateful attitude towards long distance customers. But the staff is still polite, Alec was a 10/10 we rounded gentleman and hard worker. I just didn’t appreciate the encounter meant we had with Debby that’s all.

I was nervous going to here because I’m a beginner when it comes to my plant knowledge. The staff was welcoming and made me feel comfortable to just roam around and take it all in. I purchased some new house plants and got a ton of ideas. There is a lot of variety from indoor to cacti, roses, bonsais, herbs, fruit, and everything looked healthy and happy! I look forward to coming back as I learn more about plant care!

Unhelpful and rude owner, unwilling to help unless we came into her nursery in person. Couldn’t recommend a product/method to protect the orange tree we purchased along with a number of plants from her nursery. Said she didn’t have staff, well I’m sorry you are the OWNER and you should be able and WILLING to help your customers even if it’s through email or on the phone! We will definitely look at purchasing from another nursery going forward. Right now you need to value your customers as it’s tough for everyone to get out and about. Looks like when you buy from this place any advice going forward is non-existent unless you are in the store making purchases. Disappointed, after spending hundreds of dollars at this location this year and last support them, I guess we can’t rely on a small business like this anymore. Off to Green Acres and Home Depot!

Large beautiful gardens. A bit over priced in my opinion. Staffing is limited so dont expect to have any questions answered over the phone. A disappointment if you are looking for something specific and cannot easily get to their location

I love this nursery. Basically, I can find many different plants at this store. The staffs are always very nice! This place is neat and have almost everything for a home garden. I am a customer with this store for three years. And this store is a must shop store for my Spring garden!

Very friendly and helpful staff. They have a huge variety of plants, neat little landscaping ideas sprinkled here and there, and a cute little shop inside. Also a plus is that they love dogs. One of the staff even brought a water can full of water over for my dog to drink.

A lovely local nursery with excellent, avant-garde home furnishings and garden accessories. The plants are always different from what other nurseries usually offer, with no shortage of rare succulents/perennials. An unbeatable selection of carnivorous plants and seasonal rarities are also on hand. The staff are always very helpful and polite. Go once and youll be a true repeat customer.

Staff was very knowledgeable. I looked for a couple of plants that are low maintenance so I can slowly build my garden. Maggie the cat is very beautiful!

Second time I’ve been here and will be my last. MANY Plants in poor condition both times, about 5 customers there but I wasn’t greeted or asked if I needed help and I was there over an hour. Many trees clearly mismarked... Bloodgood is a very sought after red maple, several pots listed as Bloodgood side by side and they looked nothing alike. I guess it’s hard to compare to Green Acres where it’s clean, organized, friendly super helpful staff. For the ridiculous prices they charge, I’d expect WAY more. I left discouraged!!!

My favorite nursery. I love the wisteria in the front. They have a wide selection of plants, and especially decorations. The staff is always helpful, and there is always so much to look at.

I do in fact believe, that the woman running this store is paranoid. She also allows her cats to roam around the store which is... interesting, I guess. But, I have also been accused of stealing by this person, for simply not wanting what she had in stock.
