The transaction to obtain the vehicle was adequate. When I received the truck it was nothing like the picture I was presented. I actually took pictures and sent them back to U-Haul.The Cashier/attendant was sitting at a desk, I stepped to the counter and said I have a 10:00 appointment scheduled to pick up a truck.Unfortunately I did not write down the cashier’s name. My appointment was on Thursday July 1, 2021 at 10:00amUhaul Though she was competent in handling the transaction there was absolutely no customer service. No greeting, no smile, there wasn’t even eye contact. This falls below customer service; she was lacking in basic common courtesy. I did not feel comfortable in your establishment and found myself just wanting to get the transaction over with and get out of there. I will not be back nor would I recommend that location to anyone.In returning the vehicle the gentleman who checked the vehicle back was very cordial and I would Like to give complements to him.
If I could give zero stars I would. I booked a reservation online for a trailer. Someone form unsullied called and said they didn’t have the size trailer I need within 100 miles of the city. If you don’t have a trailer size, it should not show as available on the website, and your employees should not be rude when you point this out to them.
After getting a hitch install appointment, which was almost impossible to get with customer service, I show up around 8am and the manager tells me they cant install my hitch because I had used bolts and washers. Why couldnt you tell me that yesterday when you knew I had a used hitch. Terrible. Then I spend my lunch hour hunting down the elusive new bolts and washers and I race over there and the manager is in the back, 3 people in line and only 1 employee. Waste of time. Wont ever rent or buy from there again. Be warned. Lame.

I really want to commend the employees at this location. I’ll admit I was not prepared for the long waits with checking out and checking in, most likely due to COVID-19 protocols and what I might assume could be an understaffed location. Either way, the manager Stephanie and the team at the Broadway location were the most patient and kind with everyone they dealt with, especially around a lot of—what I would call—obliviousness and confusion on many customers’ parts. The team’s professionalism to get things done as quickly and kindly as possible meant a lot to me, and this is what stood out. They all deserve the highest recommendations. Thank you again.
Worst rental experience of my life and I’ve been using uhaul along time and this location several times before. Van dirty at pick up. Then chased down and accused of trying to steal thier van I was 30 mins late due to my grandson having to go to the emergency room. He chased me down and yelled at me in front of everybody In a parking lot while I was trying to get my things out of the van. Not professional at all.
U-Haul as a company has my absolute ire and they’ve screwed me over too many times but the STAFF at this location is amazing. Special shoutout to Stephanie, who took the time to fix a wiring mistake made by another location so I could tow a trailer. Extremely knowledgeable and kind.
Try Penske in West Sac, or try Budget or Enterprise Truck Rental instead.The staff are very nice and helpful, but the way that the corporate reservations work, you may or may not actually be able to book a reservation online. They will, of course, still take your money.DO NOT plan on being able to move with Uhaul (anywhere) unless you have the truck keys in your hand.
My rental had a few minor hiccups however, I showed up at the last minute without a reservation and they took care of me. The hiccups were circumstantial and Im not gonna complain. All and all, the staff was helpful and my mission was successful.

The only complaint I had was customer parking. The spots are full from employee sParking in the customer parking. I have a picture of Stephanie Weaver the general manager in customer parking.i would expect her to set a example to the employees.
They had plenty of boxes in stock, tape gun, packing tape, & tie downs to hold boxes on top of vehicle. We bought a car load of boxes.

This U-Haul facility always has a wide variety of trucks and all sizes available. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, whether you have a question about moving or packing products or questions about the truck and what size of truck do you need for your house. All in all its a good place with good people I recommend it to everybody.
The check in was so easy. Clean vehicle. Easy return process. Affordable. The employee was friendly, efficient, explained all rules, costs, options, etc.
Made reservation two weeks in advance only to be told by this location that the only trucks they have available are in Yuba City one day before my reserved date. Take your business elsewhere.
Not only did they move our rental further away from Davis (mind you they charge per mile) they changed our reservation time without telling us. Essentially we were unable to use the service and put us in a bit of pinch for moving. Go with Budget, Penske, or Enterprise instead of U-Haul. Theyve been more reliable for me in the past.
Do NOT. I repeat, do NOT get a hitch installed here. They ruined my factory warranty on car. They made me sit for hours upon hours to get it done (wrong). I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed. Mark is extremely rude and demeaning and completely horrendous with customer service. I say this, not with the slightest hint of exaggeration. He treated us like dogs and after trying to get what we paid for installed correctly, we gave up. This is a warning to you... GO ELSEWHERE! Id pay quadruple the price for better service.
I have used this location many times and have always been treated with respect and in a timely mater. No hassles with bogos billing or returns. I would give it 5 stars if they could improve the speed of the checkout process.

Went in to try and get a truck for same day one way. Wasnt available right then which was fine. Guy told me they could have one for 10am the next day. Stepped away to make a phone call and when I came back he said he had nothing available. Didnt even check so Im sure he was just being lazy. Wish my last interaction with someone from Sacramento wasnt him. He was also rude about it.
Had the worst experience with the trailer hitch installation here. They messed up the wiring causing delays on my trip when I went to go get the trailer. Additional damage done during installation. Would not recommend this location

Bought a bunch of packing stuff for a move. No complaints; helpful, friendly service. One tip: skip the U-Haul brand packing tap; its worthless. Spend a little more on Scotch at Target.
Not sure why so much bad feedback, I guess all it takes is one. I just rented a 26 footer and I couldnt be happier with the speed and attentiveness. They were swamped but I was in and out in 15 min.

Do not go here. I repeat do not go here. I rented a uhaul for one day and brought it back. The manager Mark, comes straight to a broken plastic latch on the hood of the truck and blames me for it. He never did a walk around with me prior to that so I never saw the broken piece. He gets hostile after I repeatedly tell him that I didnt break it and i have no reason to even use the latch. Then a female coworker comes and demands that i apologize to this idiot. I couldnt believe it. This guy is a disrespectful crook and a thief and charged me $200 for something I didnt do and adds that I am banned from all uhaul agencies.. if I didnt have bigger fish to fry I would have sued.

Bad customer service from Manager Mark. I scheduled an appointment to have a hitch installed. I was the first customer on that day. When I showed up I noticed Mark, the manager, a lady (I think her name was Ashley), and another guy working on counting truck inventory. No one cares to bother greeting me so I just wondering around in the store. Few minutes later 2 more customers walked in. Mark finally popped in from the inside door. Ashley walked in trying to help us and Mark yelled at her that she should be outside doing trucks. 1st off: that is a bad manager. He asked me what I want. I told him I have an apt. I gave me my reservation # and name. He told me that it will be a 3 hour wait time. I told him that the 800 number that I talked to said it would only be 15 minutes, then he changed the subject and said that because of how many apt before mind that is the reason for the wait time. I told him I was the first customer and no one was waiting anywhere that I can noticed. He then gave me attitude and said yes my appt is the first of the day but it will still be a 3 hours wait time because of the time of the project. I told him installing a hitch does not take 3 hours. So then I told him I will just buy the hitch and I will do it myself. Bad customer service from Manager Mark. Avoid going there. Uhaul need to get rip of this guy.

Worst customer service ever! I had a guarenteed reservation and the trailer I ordered was not available. The people that work here have no idea what they are doing and aparently managers do not work on the weekends when most people actually move and need help. Once I was informed they did not have my trailer, the guy that was supposed to help me, had to call his manager to get me the $50 the website promises you for a guaranteed reservation. After standing in the office for over 25 minutes (not being told what was going on) I was offered a trailer at another location that would take me another 25 minutes out of my way to get to. The guy that was helping me here said they would give me the $50 on my card once I get to the location. So that almost made up for my wasted time and gas money. As soon as I leave the office, I get a call from the other location on Amber Ln. Who then tells me I actually dont qualify for the $50 guarenteed reservation because no one ever called me to confirm that they would have the trailer at my location that I selected! I told her it was not my problem that they didnt call me to confirm. I should not have to pay for their incompetence! She claimed my reservation was only made 1 hour ago so that was not their fault. I let her know my reservation was made YESTERDAY and I have the email to prove it! She then told me she would have to speak with her manager about it and she will let him know that I disagree that I do not qualify for the $50 guarenteed reservation and he will call me within 3 days. THIS PLACE IS SHADY AF! I WILL NEVER RENT ANYTHING WITH UHAUL AGAIN!!!!!

Wow, great service! Ive used this uhaul to rent a truck for in town moves before and was pleased. When I reserved a truck with a competing company for a one way move I realized my mistake with the hassles of long line wait times, full parking lot, and ticketing zones around the lot so parking my car all day was impossible. In addition the competition blindsided me with exorbidant property insurance coverage and threatened a $50 charge if I cancelled my rental. When i called uhaul to book with them same day, mark, the manager went out of his way to accommodate me, offering me a competitive rental price that matched the competition, comped extra miles to match the competition mileage, and offered uhauls standard but no less phenomenal low insurance rate of $15/day on a 17ft truck. He even promised to reduce my rental rate further if the competition gouged me with a $50 cancellation of reservation fee (they didnt charge me but wow, what a customer service on Marks part!). When I arrived the paperwork process was quick and both Mark and the other employee Raymond went out of their way to ensure my satisfaction without compromising thoroughness. And hey were genuinely nice to me unlike the worker at the competing truck rental business who answered phone calls while assisting me and told me to circle the block when I tried to park there. At Uhaul there was plenty of parking for the day both in the lot and on surrounding streets. I am now a lifetime customer of Uhaul, especially the Broadway Uhaul, for all my truck rental needs.
I currently only go here to get frustrated and leave..I use to go here for propane but it doesnt seem like they want to fill tanks any more...If you can make the wait after pressing the help button (last visit i timed 10mins before I went looking for the employee that hid when I had arrived) then maybe an employee will come and help you..begrudgingly...Also, make no mistake, they close this place early regularly, and will be rude if you need their service after they do so, even if its their regularly posted hours (happened to me twice and my co worker once..the manager even got aggressive with my co worker..sad)..today was the last time Ill be going here...too many chances to act like a real business but failed every time..too bad:(
