I found Brian to be organized and conscientious. He cared about getting my bass set up the way I wanted it. I wont hesitate to return or refer friends.
My guitar plays like butter compared to what it felt like prior to having Sacramento Guitar Repair set it up. The work is top notch and done exactly how and when he says he’s going to do it. Very professional and punctual. My guitar was ready right on time with no surprises. I can’t recommend this service enough. You will be pleased.
Brian’s work is impeccable. He did “The Works” on my Epiphone Les Paul Custom in addition to nut slot filing and saddle slotting for a new TonePros tune-o-matic bridge. He turned my sub-$700 LP into a better playing instrument than some Gibsons I’ve tried in stores.
I brought Brian my Les Paul Standard 50s, which was suffering from the usual LP issue of the G-string refusing to stay in tune. I wanted him to swap out the stock TUSQ nut for an unbleached bone nut with angled slots to match the offset location of the tuners. I also wanted him to diagnose and eliminate the sitar effect I was getting from the top three strings.Brian graciously took two stabs at it, with the second attempt achieving all my goals. Having me play each string to verify his work, he patiently worked on lowering the nut slots to eliminate sharping the notes while also increasing the speed and playability on the lower frets, then he filed down and cleaned up the slots of the offending saddles. In the end, he nailed it. I really couldnt be happier.Even better, he wasnt a condescending, arrogant a-hole, like many luthiers seem to be when asked to alter their first effort. Instead, Brians goal was to make the instrument play the way I want it to play, and he seemed eager to make everything right.Cant beat that. Thats what you want from a true professional, or even just from a friend.
I had a great experience. I had an issue with my intonation that I wasnt able to fix myself. Brian was able to fix it pretty quickly.
Love the professional communication that Brian has. During the 1st initial call, everything was professional from the beginning to the end. My guitar had a small problem that he left a voice-mail and a text about before performing the works on my Fender. Will be getting an electric guitar hopefully soon and Brian is my go-to guy. I deal with a lot of people in my line of work and regular basis. Professionalism is what I look for if im conducting business and Brian definitely is that guy to take care of your guitar needs!
Brian installed a mastery bridge on my jaguar reissue as well as a good ole fashion setup. He honestly did a flawless job. Would highly recommend!
Brian was generous with his time and honest with his advice about a repair I thought I needed on my SG. I will definitely return to him for any guitar repair and maintenance needs I have in the future. Highly recommended, great business.
I took 3 bass guitars foe set up. One was unplayable when I dropped it off. I was concerned something was wrong with it. When I got these back, what a difference! These were all new but they looked twice as good than when I bought them and played even better. I will only be using Sacramento Guitar Repair in the future. Ive tried a few other places only to be disappointed.
I would definitely recommend Brian at Sacramento guitar repair very nice guy easy to deal with And does good work
I brought my Les Paul guitar to Brian for his works service. I had never heard of his company before, but I found them through a local ad, and boy am I glad I did. Brian did an amazing job getting the intonation in check as well as resetting the truss rod. I dont know if he always offers it, but when I brought him my guitar he even gave me my choice of strings for free along with his service. When I picked up my guitar I could tell right away that hes got an eye for detail because he clearly spent some time polishing and lightly oiling up my fret board. The guitar plays much better than it has for the last 2 years, thats for sure. Right away I could tell that the string action was better than when I bought it new 10 years ago! Ill defiantly be going back to his place at least once a year for a regular service. Its obvious that this guy loves guitars and working on them. It shows in his work. It doesnt hurt that his prices are less than the big box store too (Dont want to name names if you know what I mean) Plus your guitar doesnt come back with a big scratch on it either!
Brian did an awesome job on my bass!
THIS GUY IS THE BEST! Brought my Les Paul to Brian could not be happier it looks and sounds better than the day I bought it. Everything was extremely easy and professional Best place in town blessing to have found it!
I have taken three guitars to Sacramento Guitar Repair and was satisfied with all the work done to my instruments. I strongly recommend this business for your guitar service needs.
Brian did a great job on my taylor, prompt fast pro service would totally recommend.
I was looking all over for someone to set up my first Stratocaster. I had the pleasure of finding SGR and am beyond impressed with the work and turn around time. I had a issue with the nut even after a set up and in less than a day he had a new nut in and it’s playing like a million bucks. Look no further you have found the place you are looking for. The customer service is nothing short of perfect. Brian wasnt satisfied until I was completely content with how the guitar performed. His work is nothing short of magic. If I could give 10 stars I would.
Great service and great guy !!
This was my first experience with a guitar luthier and it was totally worth it.It only took a few seconds and he already knew what was wrong with them and set them perfectly.
