My Hyundai would not start at all, no previous problems. I spoke to Duncan the service manager. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Heather on the phone was well spoken and helpful.They had to order a part so it was a couple of days. They are in the midst of a large renovation at Withnell,s, but everything went smoothly. Great overall experience buying our new 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. We have been looking since February for the right Hybrid model and color of car. When we saw the one weβve been looking for in the web site, we contacted Withnell right away. Check in was easy and efficient. My service appointment was going to be lengthy due to the amount of work that needed to be done (4-6 hours) and they provided me a Lyft ride to and from the local mall in town so I could get some shopping done instead of having to wait in the service lounge. They honored a discount flyer I had received in the mail from the dealership and my total bill ended up being a couple hundred dollars lower than the original estimate. Check out was quick an easy. Very satisfied with my experience today.

Nice try!We wanted to buy a Hyundai and called because they have the color we want. Found out they are charging a Market Surcharge on the vehicle of $5000.00 over MSRP due to demand. If I could give them a Zero I would. You should be ashamed of yourself taking advantage of people like that. Price gouging! Was told that is the price and nothing we can do about it. WOW!! Had to have an engine replacment and they were very willing to listen to my issues and needs for a loaner car vs a rental and accommodated the best they could.
My 2017 Tuscan has been in your shop for a few months now due to my engine went bad. Itβs a 2017 that I bought in 2018. Itβs less then 4 years old and has less then 50,000 miles on it. I have had 3 loaner cars (due to oil changes at 3,000 miles) So I am not sure how to give a rating!So now I will have a 2021 motor and the rest of my car 2017.
Sales person was prompt but not pushy he didnβt have to be cause I already new what I wanted. He gave us space to decide what worked for us and didnβt give any bs about why the vehicle would work for us. Took forever to get our drinks but eventually got them. Iβve been eyeballing palisades for a while now and finally realizing my dream of owning one. I also like the way we went over numbers before filling out the credit apps.
I was pleased with the service. I was afraid If took my car in they would tell me a lot things that βneededβ to be done and they didnβt. That is one reason I do not usually do go the dealerships because I have had bad experiences in the past. It was very refreshing to not be told that I needed services that I donβt.

Itβs great to be able to make an appointment and have them run on time when you arrive. Even in the remodel phase, there was a comfortable place to wait with WiFi. The report card was texted to me before I was even told my car was ready. No pressure to do a bunch of spendy maintenance. Personable friendly and fast service. Only suggestion I would make would be to tell the customers your names. I like to know who Iβm doing business with. I think it was Jake and Noah. π

In no time Withnell Hyundai issued me a loaner car and had me on my way. I was nervous because I have only bought two new cars in my life and I have heard horror stories from my friends about car buying (not at Withnell Hyundai.) Our salesperson named Say put me at ease immediately. He is completely low pressure and easygoing. He listened well and worked with us to get to a deal we were totally comfortable with. The paperwork was all quick and easy! I definitely recommend Withnell for buying a new car.
My wife and I had a very good shopping experience. The sales person that helped us, Say, is very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He was polite and personable. He has a great sense of humor. Say did not pressure us to buy or test drive. We appreciated that. Say did a great job in pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of specific features on the Hyundai Palisade and the Santa Fe. The Santa Fe had the Calligraphy trim which is the top of the Santa Fe line. With Says gentle encouragement, we test drive each. And my wife really liked the Santa Fe, it had all the safety features we wanted and a few more. We didnt know about. We ended up buying the Santa Fe.The finances person was very pleasant to work with. He took the time to explain and answer questions. It had been 20 years since we purchased a car and we were expecting a paper copies of the papers we signed. We were surprised that we didnt get paper copies, instead he hands us a flash drive with all the copies on it. We had a very good experience with everyone in the car buying process.Of special note.. When we asked the price of a car, he showed us the MSRP, he also pointed out the Market Price. Which was $6000 to $5000 added to the MSRP price. He said it was due to the shortage of cars and the high demand for them. Both new and used. So, beware that if you plan on keeping the car for only a year or two, you will owe more on the car than it is worth. We keep our cars for 20 years so we paid the additional money for the vehicle.In closing we would recommend purchasing a vehicle from them. No pressure sales staff.

He handled our transaction from start to finish, with the exception of a short period of time spent with Bill in F & I. Bill was also very professional and straight forward. Keanu was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions regarding the new vehicle.There was no bs or double talking.To top the experience off as I was getting into our new Santa Fe, a serviceman hollered Thanks across the lot and asked to make sure we got our floor mats.

I have had two experiences with Hyundai. My first was the recent purchase of my Elantra.. This was a very smooth transaction, the salesman great.After about two hundred miles the car began to stall and then recover. At times it stalled when I put it into gear. I took the car into the repair shop and the problem was resolved in under an hour. It has been fine since. Two experiences, both first class.
This dealer was extremely easy to work with and has great inventory. We live in Eugene, but went to Salem to purchase because they had the exact car we wanted. No hassle negotiating and the car was pristine when we picked it up. They described all the functions and the sales person gave us their personal number to call if we had any other questions. It was impressive.

I always feel looked after by the service department. For this reason, I am strongly considering using Withnell to buy my next auto. Now I know that no auto mechanic is perfect, but this department is the best I have encountered in 60 years.
I will make this rating for both my recent service appointment, and my buying experience. The sales associate answered my questions and didnt pressure me to purchase the vehicle now. In fact, I came back a few days after test driving the vehicle, and after test driving some competitors. Mr. Say Pathammavong seemed knowledgeable, and did what was needed to get a vehicle ready for me (it wasnt on the sales floor and ready to go; still only took a few minutes). I was happy with the deal, even though I think the dealership made plenty of money on the sale. They have to, or go out of business. I like my car dealerships to be there for me, and Withnell Hyundai of Salem seems to be here for the long haul.

He did however offer great products but once again simply explained the offer and said we were under no obligation to add the products.This was the best buying experience of my life. You would have to be absolutely insane to pay thousands over sticker for a car. The excuse that supply and demand due to computer chip shortages does not translate into the consumer needing to pay extra for a car that is already built and sitting on a lot. Those kinds of costs would already be factored into the sticker price. There are plenty of dealerships that do not have a market surcharge or whatever this dealership wants to call it. So, shop around even if that means driving south to avoid the market surcharge area.

We drove 255 miles to buy our new car from Withnell on a trusted friends referral and we are so glad we did. They are absolutely professional and streamlined while being real people. He got the terms we wanted with the finance guy(Im sorry I cant remember his name but amazing man) in under 2 hrs from my initial call. Went in for low, soft brake pedal.The fluid was low, we added fluid and bled the brakes.We were charged $72.50 for 1/2 hr.The brake pedal is still soft and low and so far can be pumped up.Totally unsatisfactory and I consider it to be dangerous.I hope to have resolution to this soon.

First things first I HATE BUYING A CAR! I have had horrible experiences in the past. They were great. Not pushy at all. Showed us all the options and different styles of the two styles we were looking at. I didnt go in to purchase a car that day. Actually I was against it! I loved my truck! But after talking with our salesman D.B Cooper, yes his name is D.B. Cooper lol. Great guy! We made the decision to purchase the 2022 Hyundia Tucson Hydrid Blue. Wonderful car and they have the most amazing warranty. 10 years / 100,000 mile bumper to bumper plus the lifetime powertrain warranty. Beautiful SUV! I highly recommend this dealership. We dont have very good credit but they worked very hard to make it work gave me a good price on my trade in and I never felt like I was being pushed into a deal I didnt really want to do. My husband was the pushy one lol. Thanks guys for all the help and thank you D.B. best buying experience we have ever had.

My only complaint is the automated - online site to set up an appointment doesnβt work. I made an appointment, got an email that there would be a confirmation call. No call. 4 days later I called them to confirm and they had no record of my online appointment. But they got my car in and serviced in spite of that! Good people....bad website connection!

I received almost no communication whatsoever. My engine had to be replaced due to a recall and my car broke down on my way to the airport. I donβt live in Salem, but Withnell was the closet location to where my car broke down. They took my car, didnβt provide a rental for over a week, and every time I called to ask about the status of my car, I was given no answer. I needed to know if they would cover the cost of a rental if I got one elsewhere and if my car was covered by the warranty but I didnβt receive any answers for multiple days, leaving me stuck in a foreign city, paying for an expensive hotel & having no car. At one point, I spoke to someone named Dunkin who said he didnβt have an answer but promised to call me back by the end of the day, but I STILL didnβt receive a call. Eventually I was provided a rental and my engine ended up being replaced, but the lack of communication on their part was extremely disappointing. Some employees had an attitude as well. I would never purchase a car or take my car to get serviced there again.

I have been shopping online for YEARS! LOL Finally found a great car to replace my gas hog Dodge truck with a fuel economy car. Say is my salesman and he was REALLY patient with my test driving 2 cars and not making up my mind about 4 different cars! I bought a cute 2017 Sporty HYUNDAI VELOSTER, silver w/black interior. 29k miles. Warranty until 2028! The service warranty weighs heavily vs the Honda i nearly bought. Although I was looking for a hybrid, I can settle for 25 mpg vs 7 mpg on my old truck. No pressure. And I negoiated for a discount 3 digits. Buy from. Hyundai Salem ask for, SAY. Highly recommend. 10 stars.

Well I went in for an engine recall they were supposed to do an inspection and see if there was any sign of damage and they were also supposed to install a new knock sensor and update the software none of which was recorded on my service paper they gave me when it was done. No explanation no statement just tried to rush me out and as I was familiar with the recall I asked about it the process and what they did and the lady acted as if she didnt know what I was talking about and then when I explained it to her she was like oh yeah we did all that you bet yet it was not listed on my service page nor was anyone even going to bother and try and explain it to me. Im wondering if they even looked at my car at all aside from starting it up listening to it run and just saying sounds good get it out of here. That is what it seemed like to me. I am going to have it looked at again by someone else and see if they actually did do a software upgrade like they were supposed to do and then I will update my review based on that. But their lack of communication is pretty frustrating.

The service was done well. My only comment is that your website and using of the website for appointments are NOT in sync. When I arrived they did not have my appointment that I signed up for via website. ??? It was not their error but a disconnect on the system that is being used. If you can fix it or remove it for further mishaps. The staff and servicing staff were awesome to help and take me in spite of that.
I had a warranty issue and they were able to see me the next day to check out my car. The younger workers in the service department were a little rude/ not so friendly to be in customer service. But that wonβt stop me from giving them a 5 start! They were able to get me a ride to work and back. Was able to fix my issue that day. Ended up talking to an older lady that was super nice and friendly and she deserves the 5 star also to the person who was able to fix my car so thank you!
