As a business, one of the things you try to avoid as much as possible is unnecessary expenses, the people at boxer motor works are some of the most honest mechanics Ive encountered. My guys said that the truck they were using might need new brakes, so we brought it in and told them just do it, a day with one of our trucks down means we lose potential money. Jay called us up and said the pads still had some life left in them and we dont need to replace yet, instead of just blindly doing the work and charging me he took the time to call and tell me I dont need to do this expense yet and I was able to use that truck without much downtime. The best thing you can find in a mechanic is honesty, his prices are fair, and the repairs are done in a timely manner. If youre a business or just a regular everyday person and searching for a mechanic who you can trust, who wont add in things that you dont need, we highly recommend Boxer Motor Works.

These guys are great. We have a 2011 WRX hatchback that has had TONS of fixes and performance upgrades done by Sergio and Jay. They are also quite knowledgeable on other makes as well, they have done work on our Fiat 500, VW Golf TDI, and my Audi Q5 TDI ( These last two are diesels ). They are flexible, only use quality parts, are realistic, and quick. Will continue to go to them for all work.

Brought the wifes 08 Impreza in for service. I always hate going to places to get our cars worked on as I am a former dealership master tech and service manager. I currently dont have access to a shop with my new job and can only do limited work in my driveway. So Im always cautions about where it get serviced and probably overbearing to their service departments. Im not the best customer :)That being said. I arrived at my scheduled time. Sergio, one of their techs and owners, greeted me and took my keys and showed me to their modest but effective lounge. I started working on my laptop and was soon greeted by Jay the other owner who quickly gathered my information and got the paperwork going and asked great questions. Asking your customer more than just Whats it need? is incredibly important for the shop to be time efficient and for the customer to be reminded of things they didnt intend to get looked at right away but the questioning jogged their memory. I rattled off a few things to take a peak at as well and told them some concerns I had and away they went getting my 08 Impreza serviced.Later Jay came and got me to show me a few things under the car which is very much appreciated. As a former tech, I dont just want to hear whats wrong, I want to see it so I can judge for myself how important it is. Jay and Sergio went over a few things under the car and gave me some quick informal quotes as nothing was pressing and I had told them already I wasnt getting anything extra done today. At no point did I feel pressured or hard sold on anything. He did a great job of just advising me, this is what is wrong, this is the fix, this is the rough price. I couldnt have hoped for a better experience.Both Jay and Sergio were very friendly, relatable, and incredibly professional. The shop looks great for an independent shop. Their rates are great, and I appreciate not paying extra per hour for a nicer lounge, or better lighting. Im there on a mission to get my car serviced/repaired and thats what they did.Thanks Jay & Sergio. I appreciate it. My WRX will be in soon and Im sure its going to make yall a few bucks too :)I would recommend the shop to anyone including my friends and family.
