Nice honest business very respectful.Went in to get a tire fixed had a nail in it.They where honest enough to tell me the nail didnt go all the way through the tread of the tire. And they didnt change me for it because they didnt have to patch plug it. Will definitely return for future repairs.Thanks again

I went in this morning around 7:15 to be early to get my oil changed and tires rotated. I have done this many times as my family have done business here for many years. I have a small business and had usually depended on their being open on Saturdays. Usually and for many years when I have come in early, they would fit me in rather quickly even if they had drop offs from the night before. This morning the man in charge greeted me rather short. He said You can hang out but I am not open yet. I could tell he was ticked. I sat there for almost two hours and had to leave. If you dont want people coming in early to be served early, keep your doors locked. This business for many years has been customer minded. Seems that has changed with the closing on Saturdays and how they interact with the public. The half a day on Saturdays was a life send for many folk. I will be going elsewhere.

I moved to the area several years ago and had a tough time finding a reasonably priced, honest mechanic. I was pleased to find this place. Its convenient to my job, and I can just drop off my vehicle for service. Front desk staff are kind and helpful.

Tried 3 times in 1 week to get a state inspection. Was told only 1 inspector. Kept telling me we can do it tomorrow. Then they cant. Took my car somewhere else no problem. I dont think they want to do inspections

Great place and honest people. I have been getting tires from Thompson in Salem for a long time, now will be bringing my pickup here for any other problems I may have. Few months ago I needed tires for my 2014 f150 as well as for them to check a problem I was having. My pickup was making a popping noise. They checked it and replaced a drag link I believe. The first two days the Noise went away, and then it came back again. Just yesterday morning I started hearing some squeaking as well as the popping noise towards the front of the pick up. I drop the pick up off early yesterday morning and left my keys in the dropbox for them to look at it. The part they replaced a few months ago had a default and wasn’t working properly so they replaced that at no charge, as well as putting new rotors and brakes on the front of the truck, stating that my rear rotors and brakes look OK for right now. This place will not cost a arm and a leg, they are very reasonable on their prices, I highly recommend them and they know exactly what they are doing.

Thank God for this location. My family (75 year old mother and 75 year old father) and I emergency stopped here when our car wheel noise (which we had suspected to be bearings)got so loud we were all scared. When we limped in, the young gentlemen tech helped us and showed us that the tire was so loose the lugnuts had not been secured tight enough and the wheel was not secured. I know we got need tires put on in Massachusetts and after an overnight stay in Allentown, PA my I took the wheel when we started out. We started to hear a helicopter sound which we figured were tire bearings that it wasnt bad if we took it slow. 3 hours later the noise was worse, my father took the driver seat and 3 hours later the car was so loud and shaky we pulled off at the Salem exit on I-81to search for a garage. Stopping at the BP they indicated there were garages on the main road. I saw the Goodyear sign, and my father, with hazards flashing, turned into the first place which was the actual garage. The young gentleman who I am sorry to say I didnt get his name, immediately helped. Unfortunately, his boss came out and I think he got into trouble for not following correct procedure. The man saved our lives so hopefully what happened when we left, (he was being spoken to when my father went in to explain and support the young man). No matter whatever has happened in the past, that young man was an angel.There are wonderful people who just take a moment to be human. Hopefully his boss understands.

This company put the wrong size tires on my car and when I called them on it after figuring it out on my own two years later, they acted like it was MY fault. Never did I ever hear a sorry from the manager,Mike, and he was extremely rude to me too. I went to the Goodyear garage down the road on W.Main St and had them put the right size tires on my car at a prorated price (Goodyear warranty) and it was a very different experience- the manager was very pleasant and helpful and was glad to help me out.(plus I was able to get it taken care of the same day I figured out the problem and it was done in a timely manner) I have taken my business to the Goodyear auto service center ever since and have no complaints whatsoever-they are very professional unlike thompson tire in salem,va. I would never take my car to be serviced there again and I have told all friends and aquaintences about my terrible experience with them. I hope to save somebody else some headaches.

I go here all the time for oil changes and car inspections. Cost for replacing wiper blade was very reasonable.
