I have been coming here for several years now. I shop here for my home (indoor and outdoor) and shop here for the exterior flowering plants where I work. I have never had any issues with any of the plants I have gotten here and the staff is always very helpful. I regularly shop at many other nurseries and plant shops between Salem up to Vancouver and this is one of the best and is my official go to place. Occasionally some of the prices are a bit high, but for the most part the pricing is fair and the quality of plants high.

Friendly staff but I found this place to be WAY over priced compared to some other nurseries. After buying a Japanese maple and some ornamental grass plants I went to another nursery in Woodburn and found equally comparable plants for half the price. I will never come back to this place again known I can get much better prices elsewhere.

Terra Gardens is awesome Im actually going to be headed back again to get more pond plants which are so inexpensive I could not believe the prices they were very affordable and everyone was so helpful especially one older gentleman he helped me through the entire process help me to take things out to my car gave me valuable information about our fish that we picked up for pond and the plants such a great place

Love there selection of plants, and opportunity to directly order Monrovia plants. They have a small selection of native plants, which is good enough for me. Finding natives is very hard.

Staff there were great with helping me locate what I was looking for and then with getting what I needed to get it planted so it would survive and thrive

Called a little bit ago to ask a question about prices was asked to hold and was on hold for 6 minutes which I’m completely fine with I understand they are busy. So after waiting there is a stop in the holding recorded message so I’m waiting for the person to answer and instead of answering they just completely hung up on me. If that’s how you treat your customers over the phone then I’m not going to waste my time coming here in person to be treated bad.

I called Terra Gardens on Wednesday and they were at my house working on Saturday! We needed bark dust blown in to our front and back yards. From the moment I called them everything went smoothly. The staff member walked me through how much I needed and we figured out the best date and time. The guys who came out and did the work were so nice and professional. They arrived at about 8:30am and left at 10:45am. The bark dust went in neatly and accurately in all of our beds. None of our existing plants or flowers were trampled. When they were done they used a blower to clean off the sidewalks and driveway. I will call Terra Gardens for this work every year. Thank you so much!

Theyre putting up a couple of new buildings and working out of job trailers and large tents. Parking is a little confusing. They still had everything I needed with the same friendly service.

Best indoor plant selection in town. My wife and I have been going here for years and the variety and quality are always top notch. Not to mention the people, you can tell they love what they do. Once we have a house you bet we will be shopping for outdoor plants there as well.

Sold my wife Holly and where supposed to let her know when she could get the females,that never happened theyre cool with you wasting your time and money and causing an argument because my wife didnt want to deal with them after the fact. $-80 and an argument your trash.

They are under construction, and you can see it will be awesome when completed, i would have given 5 stars because i see the potential, however no one offered to help me and i was buying a tree, 2nd one in a week.the prices are almost double from Godfreys nursery, which is an awesome place, but terra is closer and more of a place i go when i know what i want.i will update my review when they complete the renovation.

Good nursery

This weekend we went to Terra Gardens looking for some rock to complete a backyard project. We didn’t know exactly what kind of rock we wanted or how much we were going to need but Brian was extremely helpful! He walked around with us, explained the choices and even helped us calculate the amount of rock we would need... based on our rough estimate of the space. Today I had to go back for a few additional bags of rock so I called ahead to make sure they could have them ready. Carlos took my order over the phone and even double checked to make sure it was the same rock we had purchased the day before. When I got got there Brian gladly helped me load the rocks into my car since I was alone, I didn’t even have to ask for help he just did it! We will be coming back here for all of our future outdoor projects. Thanks Brian for the great service and experience.

This place is great! They have a huge selection and the staff are always so patient and willing to answer questions, and get others to help when they want a second opinion. They seem to really care that you get a successful garden out of their products! I’m a new gardener and the plants I’ve gotten from them are doing great after I followed their advice. I love how flexible they’ve been with trying to keep staff and customers safe, while staying open, during Covid time. Happy to have found this local gem and give them my business!

Wanted to order a tree that they were out of and I had called a couple times and they never called me back. I went in there and the lady who does the ordering was super rude. Too many other nurseries around for me to be giving my bizz to them, NO MORE, see ya!

Prepaid to have bark blown in and after no one showed up for thirty minutes finally called to check and they said they weren’t able to complete the job because of our location. Very frustrating to wake up early on a holiday to meet a worker who does not show up and receive no call or warning from the company. The only positive is that they issued a full refund. Very poor communication on their part and we are very disappointed.

Organized garden center, lots of plants and materials selection. Ultimate goal this time was natural stepping stones, and they have nice flagstone. Bryant educated us and helped us select/weigh/purchase. Next time I would love some of the gorgeous and unique accent planter pots.

Helped me pick out multiple types of rocks and mulch, went over bagged it up and loaded it for me too. I love this place! Im personally a houseplant collector, and Im usually impressed by their collection. One of the employees had told me that theyve been trying to carry more houseplants and figure out what people like, so if youve looked before and werent impressed, try again!! They also have a great selection of outdoor plants.In the building where you pay they also have some gifts, air plants, bonsai supplies and other miscellaneous garden supplies. Terra gardens is definitely worth the visit!

Today was the first time I’d been to Terra Gardens and I had an awesome experience. The employee who helped me, Aurora, was amazing. She showed me all around the nursery and helped me choose the plants I needed. If you’re looking for excellent customer service, great prices, and a wide variety of indoor/outdoor plants, you should shop here. There’s even a bonsai section—it’s a pretty cool place. I’m definitely going back for my future plant needs.

I have been going there for over 20 years. The employees are very helpful and have Excellent customer service. I have never had any problems with anything I have purchased from them. This year I needed to put in new fruit trees and grapes due to moving to a new house. Unfortunately the fruit tree I purchased had bug problems that they admitted knowing about and one of the grape plants was dead. I went in to get another grape and find out what was the problem with tree mainly so I knew what kind of bug I might be dealing with with my other new trees if they spread . One of the employees told me they would give me new grape and new tree cuz there had been problems. I wasnt really wasnt expecting a new tree, just wanted to know what problem I had. The grape though I thought needed to be exchanged I just got it and it never did a thing. A lady in management had to approve the exchange and was very rude and belittling even after I told her I had not come in here with intention for them to giving me replacement plants and I didnt care if it was gonna be a big deal IjI would buy a new grape and the tree I just wanted to know why it died and the employees were the ones who had said they would make it right. But she just kept on about how they dont replace things like grapes or anything they sell thats barefoot which if Id known its a gamble to buy these things for such a high price I would have purchased them somewhere else. And I have bought like 20 trees from them and was never told if you dont purchased and use soil conditioners they will not honor the tree. I dont think that even if I did it would have stopped beetle borer that were already in it at purchase. I am really disappointed in there what seems to be attitude about how they are treating loyal customers I have spent thousands of dollars there but treating me like I was trying to scam a new tree and grape was not necessary. So even though I need many new items I will not be purchasing from them in the future sadly.

Terra Gardens always has what Im looking for....even if it is something other nurseries dont have. Staff (including on the phone) is always willing to answer questions & will accurately tell me if they have what I am trying to find. Yesterday, Aurora helped me find exactly the tree I was looking for. She & Eric carefully loaded the heavy, 6 ft tall tree in the back of my large SUV without breaking a branch! They also loaded all the boxes of annuals I had purchased. They were pleasant throughout my entire time shopping there. I drive a long way to Terra Gardens just because of their wide selection of plants &, especially, because of staff like Aurora & Eric.Thank you!

Terra Gardens is wonderful. Here are the following items to review:--Gravel and Mulch Delivery: Shannon Delivered everything perfect. She communicated clearly, professionally and was joyful. We got mulch and gravel that was top quality for a good price.--Plants: Our kiwi, raspberries, and blueberries from last year are healthy and our new plants are doing wonderful this year (apple, veggies, and more).--Staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and fun.Terra gardens is also really good about having quality items that are appropriate for this region. They are my go to for gardening and landscaping.

Tried to buy 10 boxwoods. No one would help me. Stood around for 10 minutes waiting. One worker said Sorry, Im on the phone when she literally wasnt and was just standing at the computer.

We have been getting our plants and landscaping materials from Terra Gardens for the last two years - not only have the prices been reasonable, but the advice has been priceless! In particular, Mick has helped us navigate the differences in successful gardening here vs the East Coast, and has patiently answered all of our questions with common sense and humor. We have purchased flowers, seedlings, mulch, gravel, and various garden supplies at Terra, and have been pleased with the quality. Thanks to Terra, we have a yard we can be proud of!

Over the past couple weeks my wife and I have been to Terra Gardens 3 times to get flagstone for a backyard project. Each time we have been pleasantly greeted and well treated by an employee named Bryant. He explained each of the available flagstone options, asked helpful questions, and gave us options in a very non-pushy, genuine, and practical way. Just had our first bark delivery. Brian arrived on time, dumped the load very tidily and was helpful with my questions about future deliveries. We have shopped at the nursery in the past. The plant variety is nice and everything that we have brought home has been healthy.

Really friendly and easy to order, change my order and reschedule my drop off all in one day. They put up with my insanity. Lol Shannon, our delivery guru, was great and sweet as pie. Please someone put a/c in those trucks for them. Ill definitely use them in the future and recommend them to others.

The small items were about a dollar more than what I wanted to spend and the large items were overpriced by almost $20. The plant variety was good but the quality was a little lacking. The staff was friendly and willing to help.

Called first to see if they had a particular tree and they said they had it, and several other different selections. Asked for a price range and was told $40.00 and up. I went down there based on their website, and speaking with them. When I got down there the selection was minimal and the lowest price they had was $163.00. Total waste of time and gas. While I was down there I noticed that their prices were higher than other retail nurserys, as well. Do yourself a favor and skip this place, its a total rip off!

Terra Gardens is the best garden center in the greater Salem, Oregon area for trees, shrubs, flowering plants and all of your gardening needs. Ive purchased a Northern Red Oak and Sugar Maple trees there, along with flowering plants, and starter plants for our home garden. Ive never been disappointed with the purchases Ive made from Terra Gardens, and the staff there is knowledgeable, and so very friendly and helpful. I will always return for all of my gardening needs to be sure!

We ordered five yards of premium bedding mix this morning, and got it delivered this afternoon. Brian brought it out, ahead of schedule, and had ninja level backing skills! We wanted it in the driveway, but had an electric line in the way - he managed to get around the line and put it in the driveway anyways! Going back tomorrow to stock our newly built raised garden beds.

Terra gardens is a joke. Terrible customer service to say the least. I have been a customer there for years and have spent thousands of dollars there. I recently bought their “organic mulch” as a top dressing for flower beds as stated from their website. After it was spread by hand and it rained once on it. Tons and tons of plastic and garbage came to the surface. I called and spoke to manager Tammy. She admitted that they are currently and have had issues with this product. She tried to turn it back on me stating that it’s because people put garage in their green waste bin. She first stated that there is nothing I can do for you that’s just the product. I said that I am unhappy and that I am the customer. Terra Gardens should have told me about the problem they were having before I bought two truck loads of it and spread it by hand. Tammy says well next time you come in I will give you a discount…. What happened to customer service. We will take our business elsewhere.

Shannon was on time, efficient and courteous. I love working with these guys and will be back on Mothers day to pick up plants.

My sister and I went there to buy rock slabs for her pond. Bryant was there right away to find out if he could help us. He moved all the slabs so I could find small ones, then put them on the cart for us. After weighing them he loaded in the car. We couldnt have ask for better help then Bryant gave us. 1.5 yards of crushed gravel was just delivered to my house, only an hour & a half after a I made the order over the phone. Shannon (the person who made the delivery) was friendly, professional, and efficient. Nice job Terra Gardens!

***THEY DONT BACK UP THEIR PRODUCTS. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!*** Purchased 18 plants and half of the plants were dead or dying within 2 weeks. I kept them all in the same location and cared for them the same (equal watering, rain, sun, and shade.) Not only would they not exchange them, they told me I was neglectful. ***I purchased the same kind of plant from Homedepot a few months back and they are all still alive and well, and with a 90 day garantee! Terra Gardens only exchanges them within the next day.*** HOMEDEPOT: cheaper, better quality, and an amazing return period.*** Now I know better, and I hope this helps you before its too late. !! Bought an indoor plant which was very expensive. After having it a couple days, noticed that it is covered in aphids, spider mites and white flies. BE CAREFUL about the plants you buy!!!
