This is THE BEST POST SHOP EVER!!! the people are GREAT I have been with this shop through both owners & the PREVIOUS owners were ok...but the NEW OWNERS are the BEST they make sure you have WHATEVER you need for WHATEVER your are mailing & they go OUT of their way to always be there for you NO MATTER WHAT!!! I TOTALLY RECOMMEND this shop for ALL your postal need!!!
These guys are great, helpful, friendly and easy to get in and out!
A very convenient place in Lancaster Drive to be be able to buy gifts for other people at. Or for yourself. Also an individual us able to purchase stamps here. As well as drop off mail. Or to ship packages at.As well as bring able to rent a mailbox.
Highly recommend! Excellent customer service. Friendly and smiling. Very helpful getting what you need.
I’ve only lived in Salem for a little over a year now and I needed to go to a post office to mail in some unemployment forms. In the past few years, I haven’t had any reason to go to a post office, so I was walking in feeling a bit anxious. All I knew was I need some stamps and an envelope to send my forms. As I walked in, I observed everyone was wearing a mask. I loved this. I felt safer knowing that everyone was respectfully wearing a mask. For maybe 15 seconds, I stood by the door looking around for stamps, and a young person comes out from the back and asks if they can help me. Long story, short: I confessed that it had been awhile since my last visit to a post office - and I had no idea what I was doing - and they were completely nonjudgmental and friendly about it (I found out the name of the person helping me was Jesse (sp?)). The whole process was easy and smooth, and I was out of there in like 5 minutes.IMPORTANT NOTE: In looking up post offices near me, I saw that this one, in particular, had terrible reviews (which, may have been another underlying reason for me to feel anxious). After thanking Jesse for being so chill and kind, one of the owners informed me that they were actually NEW owners (have been for about a year or so) and they realized that the google reviews have been poor. So here I am... hoping to help boost this post office’s ratings! I’ve never posted a google review in my life, but I felt like they definitely deserved one.
BEST POST OFFICE EVER GO THERE!!!!
Wonderful people, efficient service! I always go here rather than a regular post office if I can.
Easy and straight forward experience. I felt very welcomed when i was first introduced to Blanca. She was very professional, seemed like she knew what she was doing and was very easy to talk to. Definitely one of the sweetest post office employees Ive ever met. 10/10.
The employees here are just wonderful!! Friendly, helpful, never had a problem. If you want a good experience without going to the post office, come here! And they have really neat items in the gift shop, and at great prices!
They were wonderful and gave my kids Christmas presents. It made their whole day.
Very helpful and has a number of other stuff available as well. If youre in the need of a new face mask the Postman has them available for you at a good price. Also when I was last in toilet paper and hand sanitizer were also available.
I was just passing by this place on our family road trip and needed to send a package. The new owners (Jim and Stephanie) were incredibly helpful and extremely nice. Jim helped me assemble my package and found the best rate. They also accept credit/debit cards. I highly recommend this place if you need to send something or just want to grab a snack on your way!
Great great experience. Very friendly and up beat attitude. If u have postal needs spend your money here. U wont be disappointed! Thanks Jim and Stephanie.
Forget any reviews that are older than 4months. This place is under new management and Stephanie went beyond exceptional service. It was a very refreshing experience after visited the other USPS shop in N Lancaster. Trust me you don’t want to go there.Stephanie took the time to explain the options for shipping with tracking service. She was very polite and I could tell the genuine gestures and tone of voice. If you work in the service sector, you know what I mean. I spent less than $4 but her service gave me a very good customer experience. One that tells you to go and tell others about this place. I wish Stephanie and her husband all the best.Mahalo!
This post office is under new ownership. I literally live down the street and I used to avoid it at all costs with the previous owners. However, I stopped in this morning and noticed 2 things.1. It was very clean and organized. And2. There was a very friendly lady behind the counter with a smile. She was very helpful and I was pleasantly surprised. She is the new owner and I am so happy about this, bcuz now I will be able to go to this post office instead of driving all the way down to the main post office. If you avoided this post office b4 because of the very rude and sometimes mean service from the previous owners like I did. Give it another shot, you wont be disappointed with the new owners.
We came in to send a package, and had great service from Jim and Stephanie. We had a quick conversation, and the package was off to be sent, the prices were the same as ups and no extra fees. Definitely a good experience!
I just left this location and they were super friendly. I asked about only taking cash and they now have a square reader, which he told me has a .75 charge, but way better than the atm fee. I’m not sure if they’re under new ownership, but my experience here was great!
Every visit to this location is a breeze. Blanca helps make any process fast and easy. Ive never walked out of this store confused or uncertain. Best place in town thanks to the people inside.
This place is Under New Management and the ladies here were such a great help definitely will be back soon
Thank goodness there are new owners. I walked in once, and had to say, Hello, do you work here, several times before he finally turned around and surprised himself. Another time, the old guy made a nasty comment about my T-shirt, Liberal are ya? Fttt. I was so appalled, I never went back.
Well situated and stocked. Friendly employees
I had a few packages waiting for me at the postman office, and very pleasant experience at this place. loved the service that the lady’s gave me, looking to comeback in the future for more of my items.
They only take cash, granted they have an ATM there but it has a $2.50 service charge for any withdrawals. This place is a really bizarre hole in the wall, its half post office and half thrift store. The associates? Owners? Arent terribly friendly either, I only went because google said they were one of the few post offices open on a Saturday.
Under new ownership now, so far seems to be way better than the old grumpy couple that ran the place before. On the plus side at least they except credit and debit cards now. Had a nice talk with the couple and they seem determined to turn the customer service issues around. I will come back and update my review in a few months, after I’ve gone in there a few more times. But for now they have made noticeable changes for the better. You guys need to hang a sign outside that says under new management 😇
A Monday afternoon one guy walks out of the door. Walked in, door sounds. No one is around? There is no clerk? I say hello? no bell to ring, so a minuet later I leave. Ranking of stars is dumb if the service is in the negative. -5 Stars X ∞
New owners are friendly, fast, efficient.... did I say friendly?Always a pleasant experience.
Omg the lady here was so sweet and helpful ♡ i get overwhelmed at other post offices but this one just has a nice energy!! They gave me reciepts and tracking numbers. There is a .75 fee if youre using a card though
Went in to ship a gift today and the older man working the desk was very rude. He made comments about the world not revolving around me and told my boyfriend to make himself useful when we came in and then had him carry a table inside. He was just all around rude and curt. I wasnt worried about my package being shipped out today or tomorrow. He acted like I came in demading that my package be shipped this instant or else. I will not be returning to this location due to the way this man treated us.
Great service, No long lines, friendly atmosphere, lots of unique low priced gifts.
Friendly and priced fairly, love the new owners
This is not a post office. It is only a drop off center. They will not give receipts. When I took a picture of me dropping off my package so I could get proof I was shipping my package they refused to accept my package. I like to have a receipt so if the package gets lost (which can happen) I have proof that it was sent. They also lied to me when i asked where the next PO was that i could go to on a saturday. They said i would have to go to Corvallis. Not true. Went to the one on Liberty and Skyline and was able to drop my package off, get a smile and receipt and be on my way (even though they too are a contract office and not a true po) This location. On lancaster has horrible service and i will never come back. Stay away from here. Save yourself and drive out to S. Salem for better service.
Idk if they did it or what but someone crossed out the zip code I put and wrote in a different pen the wrong zip code and the package was returned to me. I showed them the address on the package was correct and then I showed them the tracking shows it went to the wrong place and they need to resend it to the right place. And they told me I have to pay again. So I left and went to the real post office and they fixed the mistake and shipped it to the correct address for free. I will never be going to this post office again the old lady wasn’t very helpful at all and extremely rude. Plus they only take cash
Couldn’t be happier they have all the services I need and a very friendly and helpful staff
Very uncomfortable experience! After handing my package to an elderly woman behind the counter; she starts asking the usual questions-- anything liquid, perishable, or hazardous kind of stuff. I answer No to all of it. I know she has to ask those questions even though she has the package in her hands and can see and feel it. Ive done this so many times before so I know the routine and Im just trying to get through it.But then the woman asks if its marijuana. So caught off guard by that question! No one has ever asked me if Im mailing marijuana before. Keep in mind, Im just a regular guy, picking up his wife after work and returning something to Amazon in a small, boring package-- I have no idea how she got the impression I was some sort of drug dealer.I tell her No, but she clearly doesnt believe me, asking, Are you sure. I keep telling her no, so she asks, well, what IS in the package? Now, being a bit annoyed, I ask her if she is actually allowed to ask customers exactly what they are mailing. It just didnt seem like any of her business, and Id already answered the standard questions like is it hazardous. She proceeds to tell me that, not only can she ask whats in it, but she can refuse to send it if I dont answer--- Now, that is probably true; I dont know--- but of all the packages Ive mailed in the past, Ive never actually had to tell someone what was in my mail or been asked if I was sending drugs. So I tell her-- its a small flag (about 12x18). She mails it. But I was very uncomfortable with her behavior and almost wanted to call back and complain to a manager or just go to a different post office. And the stupid thing-- even if I WAS mailing drugs, I could have just told her it was something else.
The new owners are a breath of fresh air !!! Nice instead of that nasty old couple that had ot prior
Fast friendly service! Unlike similar places in Salem!
The lady here was rude to me and my mom and because of her my package did not get delivered go to the UPS by fred meyer on lancaster and you will get better service. I ended up wasting my money. Now, I have to pay twice to ship something do her negligence. Definitely taking my money elsewhere and spreading the word.
Best prices for p.o. boxes anywhere
Great service, always pleasant and friendly. Wish they had hours of operation on the website.
The old Post workers here are incredibly rude and unhelpful. Avoid this location if you want to continue to enjoy your day.
Can someone else open a post office in the neighborhood so that business can be taken away from them?! Expect to pay for tape and deal with a crappy attitude from the woman behind the counter. It is like her mission to be rude and negative to any person walking through the door. Negativity is toxic and she needs a wake up call as to what is important in life!
Love this place. Great customer service!
The woman running the counter was so incredibly rude that I decided to take my package elsewhere even though its much more out of the way. Avoid this place at all costs
Small mom and pop store. very nice people!
This is where I do my business through!
The gentleman working there was horribly rude and literally told me that my generation doesnt understand how to do things for themselves all because I didnt bring in my own tape... I almost left in tears because of how horrible he was and publically humiliated me.
Love the workers, excellent services:)
Friendly fast service love this post office
Nice place and services but the man who is the owner is very VERY rude and they charge you a fee if you use anything but cash to pay for things.
Easily accessible
