These women made my night, my week, my month. They were booked for all of October but my sister in law and I randomly stopped in just so we could just check it out. They magically (no pun intended) had 2 cancellations and took us in right away. It was like it was meant to be. They were both so kind, so wonderful and so helpful. This was the best experience I’ve ever had in Salem. Definitely a must do.
Incredible experience! When planning my husband and I’s Salem trip for Halloween, I knew this was something I wanted to do. Unfortunately the reservations were all sold out, but with a little ✨MAGICK✨ I was able to take a last minute spot due to a cancellation. My broom came out absolutely beautiful, and the instructor was amazing. This is a must when in the area, it’s a nice bit away from the hustle and bustle of the main.road and there are great restaurants near by. If you cannot get an appointment, hang out in front of the building every hour, on the hour! If people are too late or cancel, you could be lucky enough to get in! ❤️
My husband and I wanted to do something special for our daughters birthday while we were in Salem. What better to do than make a broom. The Witchery is a great place to do just that. Our teacher was awesome! We were all so happy and pleased with our brooms. If you are looking for something fun to do with friends or family I would suggest booking this.
Without a doubt, one of the best shops in Salem! Original, authentic, off the beaten path. Wish there were more shops like this instead of the commercialized stuff you find on the main strip. You dont need to work on or change anything. You guys are amazing, your shop is beautiful and its a one of a kind experience.
AWESOME PLACE TO LEARN!We learned how to make brooms. Lots of fun and Greta was AMAZINGLY patient. Really enjoyed her personality and teaching skills. These are the type of stores we have to support. Shops that are operated by the wonderful owner. So if you are in town, stop by and learn how to make a beautiful broom or bind books. Its a fun experience and remember, when it is time to store your tools, the only thing you will take with you is what you have learned.
The broom making class was the most unique, super fun event you could ever do while visiting Salem! The instructor was AMAZING! She was so patient and so accommodating to what each person was working on. I will do this again and again!! Thanks for the great time!
I went to Salem with my wife a few days after our wedding. We booked the broom making class and it was super fun and easy! The people working there were very kind and helpful.
Our group had a great experience broom making and getting a group tarot reading. Lots of fun with in a great shop with attentive shopkeeper/staff. Remember to book online in advance so you dont miss out.
You need a reservation for The Witchery to make a broom in their class or bind a book. I walked in without one and the instructor helped me make one for the following day. The broom making was so fun and they had so many options. It is kind of expensive but these brooms are going to look great in my house so for me, it was worth it. The instructor was so kind.
This is one of the must do things if you are in Salem. As a writer, I love the fact that I made my journal by hand. The instructor was fabulous.
If I could give 6 stars I would! The people are so nice, and the experience is so much fun! Theres also a lady with a display in from with home-made masks that are ADORABLE. Definately a must do for Salem, especially if youre looking for something hands on to do to get away from all the looking around that comes with the rest of Salem attractions.
The broom making class was very rushed which made it a disappointment. There needs to be smaller classes, more time or a 2nd instructor.I told who I think is the owner how I felt about it and she tried to make it right with compensation but she then told me that no one has ever said they felt rushed. We later ran into some of the same people who took the class at a restaurant so I asked them about their experience and they said they felt rushed as well. This was my only negative experience in my entire trip to Salem .Everything else we did was enjoyable.
What an amazing experience! Will be back on the off season soon! Will be back soon! Thanks Margaret and Jude!
This place is so fantastic! It’s different from the other witchy stores in Salem and offers a unique experience. You can make your own personal broom stick, you can make a gorgeous leather journal, or you can even take a dream catcher making workshop. I made my own witches broomstick and I love it so so much!!!! Would highly recommend if you are looking for an authentic witch experience.
So much fun building brooms with my friends here :)
Made an appointment for 9/22 at 2 pm to make brooms. Looked at website, and they are closed at the tome.of.my appointment! Paid a $10 dollar deposit each for my friend and I. No refundNo brooms.
New store for pagan crafts and performance art, short walk from the House of the Seven Gables and a nice stop on the way to the Willows. The space is well used, hosting a performance space to view original works of film and music, while you peruse the books, crafts, gems, etc. or learn the art of tarot! Highly recommend!
Went today and had an awsome time with my wife and daughter!!
. made brooms...so fun!!
I had such a positive experience with my group tarot reading at The Witchery. Gret was so wonderful - she let our intuitions guide us, while adding in what her intuition was saying, and her knowledge about tarot. It was such a positive experience and brought me a lot of clarity. When I come back to Salem, I’ll return to The Witchery for tarot.
Favorite part of my trip was the broom making. Knowledgeable helpful staff, absolutely best experience you could ask for.
Great family activity! We had a fantastic time crafting at The Witchery. I’m a mom of 3 boys, and even they thoroughly enjoyed the crafting. The staff will work with you individually, and it’s a quaint setting, so scheduling ahead of time would be beneficial. You can schedule online.
Coolest place ever. Why buy a kitschy possibly-blessed-by-someone-special witch broom or bauble when you could make one for yourself, authentically and with your own intentions!?!! Place is an art gallery and studio, great for hanging out, making friends, and of course channeling your creativity!
Not just a shop, but a crafting space also. Want to make a decorated box, an essential oil mix, or bring the kids to decorate a witchs hat? Want artwork made by actual artists? This is the place!
So happy to come across this shop on my latest trip to Salem. The Witchery stands out with its DIY and crafty vibe. I highly recommend the interactive tarot reading. I did it one-on-one, but you can get a reading with a group too. The reading was really helpful, and put my mind at ease. I loved the tarot cards so much, I bought them to take home with me. There is an area where you can purchase items that benefit suicide prevention, and I got the cutest earrings for only $5! Looking forward to coming in again!
Thank you Gret for a fantastic experience! Tiffany and I will keep you posted on our journey.
What hospitable, fun and informative folks! I’m in my 30s, but finally getting a chance to genuinely pursue my interest in magick, and related arts/crafts. On a spontaneous visit to Salem this weekend, I decided to visit The Witchery and try their crafting offerings.Do call ahead and make sure you can book your time! Luckily they had the last spot before closing when I called.I was warmly greeted by name on arrival, and personally oriented to the crafting options and materials by Gret, one of the owners. When I explained what I was interested in and some of the intentions I wanted to incorporate into my project, Gret personally did research using books and internet to help me find just the right materials to energetically realize my piece (a mini-broom). In fact, when we found that bay leaves might make a good addition, she waited for me to go next door and buy some, because she was out! She really seemed to care that I be able to make an authentic piece that I could be proud of. It was fun too because she really likes to learn new things, and so we got to enjoy that thrill together as we researched. She patiently helped me talk through my ideas, too, until I had a clear sense of vision. It was like I had a friendly, genuine mentor for the session- not just some cashier waiting for me to glue up something and pay for it.So if you’re looking for a more personal, mindful, engaging touch to your visit to Salem, head over and make some arts and crafts at The Witchery!
What a great concept. Something for everyone. Owner is wonderful.
Thank you for your spot-on Tarot reading! I have been going through a very difficult time, and I felt so much better after meeting with you!
A wonderful enclave of spiritualism, mysticism, wisdom and vision. Huge fan of this shop.
Adorable shop!
My mom and I came to Salem for a girls trip and our friend recommended the witchery for broom making. I now know why it gets booked up so quickly: we were greeted with a genuine warm welcome. They explained the process thoroughly and embraced our creative minds. The materials are authentic, and some hand made by the persons who work there. It may be a little pricy, but it’s worth it!!!! The reservation money go towards your broom. You have to add this to your Salem to do list!
