Been shopping here for over a year now, and I have to say, the quality of the food in general is always consistent and excellent. The employees are helpful and friendly, the expansion and new layout makes it easier for people to shop around. Best organic store in Salem hands down!

I had an issue the other day. Not a big deal but just a reminder. I guess my mask was slipping down. Then a guy that was stocking the veggies basically confronted me with a attitude. There are ways to talk to people in a polite manner to redirect without offending. I hope this helps.

I absolutely love this place. The quality of the food is always amazing. Everyone is so friendly, they really care about what they’re doing. LifeSource has honestly changed my life, I am so much healthier after discovering them. I always feel safe to ask questions or just look around and learn about new ingredients and dietary options. I’ve gone mostly plant based (and 100% ethically sourced) since I started shopping here, just because of how accessible and delicious the plant based options are. My body and mind are very grateful! Salem, Oregon - Saturday (7/20/19) hit a high of 87* today and I decided to ride my bike to the best Natural Foods Grocer in the Willamette Valley. I am a big fan of LifeSource Natural Foods and love to hang out on the patio during the warm sunny days of summer. However today my mission was to eat a healthy dinner and was in the Grab N Go mode. My GNG selection was the Beet & Feta, Quinoa and the Oregon Kale Salad - Organic locally sourced produce that is super nutritious and heart healthy. Super Quick checkout service and friendly staff. Amazing selection of delicious prepared entrees / build your custom salad bar plus everything else you would expect from a top shelf Natural Food / Organic Grocery Store. The artisan pizza is super delicious and made with the freshest ingredients. Bicycle parking near the front entrance. *****Ten Stars*****

Hands down the best natural food store Ive ever shopped. Huge selection, good pricing, and very helpful staff. If they dont have what I need, theyre very good about special ordering items. In the pandemic, its one of the safest places to shop in Salem! This is my appreciation post!

I had requested a special order, which they happily ordered for me and called me when it came in. In store clerks are always pleasant & very helpful.

I really appreciate how helpful and friendly all the staff are. This is my favorite store in Salem. I can always stock up on my favorite items and always come out with something new I cant find at my other local health food stores.

Amazing store. I’ve looked all over the area for a store like this. I love supporting local farms. However, the old hag in the bulk department needs to either take your sour attitude and terrible customer service to Safeway or the management here needs to give her a quick check up on customer service skills and articulating store policy. It was my first time here today and she treated me like I was a criminal that didn’t belong. Almost ruined my experience. I will however try other more welcoming places. The selection here is decent on top of that and the other employees are more inviting.

I was extremely hungry and excited to eat healthy food. I went through the Deli recently and the rice was dry, the beans were dry, and everything that I was served tasted horrible and it was extremely expensive to boot. I will never go back to eat lunch or anything. Also the person that was working there serving the food was not very nice. It seems as if their quality Of people and definitely food has reduced greatly.

Got some hard to find items to help aid me to get off sugar. While there, I noticed many prices reduced that I use daily. They are getting much more competitive. They also have a nice larger choice of fresh organic meats.Way to go Life Source!

Love the bulk food section...they recently started carrying my favorite coffee beans (Mocha Blend... that I could only find in Corvallis.... thanks Joyce 🥰). Always get almond butter too! Harassed for having a medical disability by staff while shopping. This place has turned into Gestapo Headquarters! Impersonates being medically trained staff, forgetting they are a retailer !! Lifesource? Are you and your staff accepting personal responsibility for any medical emergencies that may arise in your store due to your policing store policies?I once wanted to work at your store. It’s so sad the values of health and wellness are being used to devalue the human race and you are supporting that. Hearing it from a lot of folks in the community who have a similar experience in your store. Word of mouth means a lot as a business owner. It would really be great if you would honor medical exemptions.. I have no problem keeping my distance or following arrows and also honoring the governors directives, with out being treated hatefully. I’m not sure why you would to force to take all their business online where someone else picks my food food for me ?Maybe robots are the answer??

They had just cut up fresh organic watermelon 🍉 that was great finger food for my trip home. Its good to have a store with so much healthy food - and a bathroom that is non-toxic without spewing air freshener on you.

LifeSource is one of the few grocery outlets I have found in Salem that regulates the number of people in the store at a time (20), cleans their carts, wipes down all their surfaces and provides great customer service. Fresh, organic food, bulk grain, flour, nuts etc and yummy meals to grab and go.

Well stocked natural/organic offerings. Cool! They even carry Kombucha Hot Sauce!!!

I have shopped at Lifesource for ten years. I miss the older hippies that used to work there. Ill be really honest. This store has changed, and with covid...its changed a lot and I cant figure out why. This store has a really good selection of supplements and food items. This store used to be a great place to eat, shop and ask staff questions about certain products. I think the mask thing has made this store weird.Last time I was in I was wearing a mask too big for my face, didnt have one in my car, and didnt wanna resort to curbside shopping since I wanted to pick out the items myself. The mask was slipping off my face and my nose was exposed. I had no idea it had slipped as my brain is focused on shopping. A male employee came up to me not following the 6 feet distance rule and told me to put it back over my nose.A woman did the exact same. I dont know why the store did not provide disposable masks. Some of us arent perfect and forget the proper masks to wear. I wasnt about to drive all the way back to keizer and get my better one. They have become extremely neurotic and obsessive if your nose is showing. Which I get it, some people die of this virus but not EVERYONE.If they could make a change, approach shoppers kindly and dont be rude about the mask thing. Stop acting so neurotic. Its not that hard to supply disposable masks to customers. Im sure the store can afford it. Everyone is forget full and maybe doesnt have a mask handy, and not everyone wants to do curbside shopping.I wont be going back to Lifesource. The vibe and the energy of the store is just off, and the employees are becoming rude. Management has had plenty of time to read these reviews and make changes about politeness. I dont see that happening.However if youre extremely Liberal and LOVE wearing a mask then you wont have an issue here.

Wish I could give them no stars. They Change politically and expect customers to fallow with no warning. The front door greeter was rude. Wont be shopping at this store again. Beside the store always having a smell that I just dont know, its not a pleasent smell.

What an oasis of yum! We stopped here for lunch and had incredible gluten free pizza, kombucha on tap, and loaded up on snacks while we were road tripping through salem. My son left his jacket behind, and the kind kind folks at life source sent us this package that we received today including his coat. What great folks and incredible care they give to their customers. Thank you!!!

I absolutely love love love this grocery store. Their produce and meat are the highest quality and are also very fresh. The people who work there are kind and helpful.

Have loved this store for many years. Last night however was shocked on how expensive everything seemed to be, higher then their normal. Especially the produce. :( It feels challenging to me to find quality produce for affordable prices. The staff also seemed burnt out which this time must be really hard for me. Hope things get better for the grocery and service people soon.

One of the best places in Salem to go get food ingredients.

Daily slices of pizza are BADASS. They have a great selection of everything. When I need advice on recipe modifications they are most helpful. I live in North Salem and drive all the way to the store twice a month just to buy Ginger root theirs is the BEST in town.

Best quality foods anywhere!

Discriminates against people with medical conditions. Store does not provide same day services for curbside or delivery. How are people with medical conditions suppose to be accommodated if your services are not same day? Discriminating against people who cant wear masks is breaking the law. If reported to the ADA. First offense is 75k fine. I strongly suggest you change your policies for customers who have medical conditions. Shame on you!

Such a cool place love going for lunch during the summer and sitting in the dining area. There is always great ready to eat food for a good price it’s also great knowing that only quality ingredients were used. Everyone who works there is always positive and helpful. My husband and I just moved here from Missouri and are used to shopping at our local farmers markets. But when we came to Salem we have not had any luck finding a farmers market this time of year. Thankfully we found this gem. Fresh organic produce everywhere! Beautiful produce! On top of that they have organic liquid soap and many other organic items and holistic health options. We will definitely be regulars at this place!

The best and friendliest health food store in Salem. Their breakfast and lunch buffets are delicious and they sell a variety of homemade packaged foods as well. Good local produce selection and many vegan and vegetarian friendly grocery options. Nice little outdoor seating area and they also offer a senior citizen discount I believe...

Lifesource will not allow people wth medical conditions without a mask to shop in their store! Are you aware you are breaking federal laws? Please educate on ADA laws! I dont think you would be happy to be slapped with a 75k fine for your first offense once reported for discriminating against medical conditions. You are also breaking kate brown executive order EXEMPTING people with medical conditions!

Wonderful experience stepping into LifeSource. First thing you see is the produce section. They offer a great selection of local produce. They label everything that is locally grown. Best beef in town! I eat a lot of beef and I only eat the best grass-fed beef. (Grass is what cows eat - simple fact!) This store has everything from affordable flank steak to pot roast and ground beef for some superb hamburgers. The prices are great on the quality meats too! I went to a different store and had a sad-face when I left. Whenever I leave LifeSource I have a great big smile! These people are pretty fun and they sure know their stuff too! They helped my wife find her local honey for her allergies and my son got an energy drink that had him bucking hay until the job was finished! I love this place! (Great Pizza by the slice too!)

The deli food here is AMAZING! Always rotating dishes, every day something new. Their daily pizza is unique and always tasty. All the workers and friendly and remember me. I dont shop here for groceries, but if your in the area the deli food is better than most restaurants here. (And ingredients you can trust.) they are speedy but worth it.

Absolutely fantastic store. I recently moved to Salem from Portland and was worried that the health food stores here wouldnt be very good. Not so! Lifesource is the best one Ive EVER been to anywhere. I always find what Im looking for, and they also carry so many unusual/uncommon products that I havent seen for quite a while. Its also very vegan-friendly, which is important to me. Great store and the people who work there are very nice, too.

The best grocery store in Salem and they have the best pizza

The quality of the food is excellent, and I have always found the staff attentive, helpful, and responsive. I asked if they could carry a different product in the bulk section and in just a few weeks it was there! Where else would that happen? The staff at the checkout counter are ALWAYS kind, interested, and genuine. I have several years of doing all my major shopping there to base this on.
