Stepped in for Starbucks inside. Was pleasant as well as their lil nook with tables and chairs.

Sigh. I went back after the first time (where the employees were rude and the store had random stuff lying everywhere).... the second time it was dirtier with chaos still spread around, employees I spoke to were nice enough but cashiers were yelling back and forth. Not organized, not clean, not professional... consider me not impressed. Their prices are decent and they have good parking lot, not enough to entice me to frequent this place though.

Once again another bad experience at Safeway this time it was in west Salem. Very rude employee an unprofessional, the following morning I talked with manager and his tone of voice it seems like he didnt have the time.If you want a peaceful experience I recommend Roths on Wallace rd.And east Fred Meyer on market street and Lancaster Dr. I have always been treated with respect and both Roths and Fred Meyer are always going the extra mile for you.I hope this information helps you out.

While it’s another Safeway this place is in desperate need of a makeover and update. It’s small, dingy and needs work. I sometimes take the extra time to go to Keizer just to avoid this one. Selection is small. Employees are all great though. No complaints about them. Just the store needs help.

They have one of the biggest choices of meats, more than any other store around. I like to get my roasts and large amounts of hamburger. Also they have fresh fish and Starbucks coffees that I can buy with foodstamps.

In my opinion, Safeway has the best deli and produce. The rotisserie chicken salad is fantastic, and now they have personal lunch size servings of the fresh chicken salad, with crackers. Also their sushi is great, and so fresh!!!!!

I would give 2.5 if possible but my BIGGEST issue is that ALL of their plastic bags smell like cigarette smoke. I quit smoking a year ago and it really offends me or at least my nose. On that note the employees smoke very close to the entrance which the smell is off-puttingMany times the produce i have purchased ended up being moldy within 2-3 days

I love everything about Safeway; clean organized stores, fresh produce, excellent meat selections, delicious baked goods, seafood galore, and of course the ethnic ale for those special recipes. Plastic cash accepted, self-checkout, public restrooms, in-store shopping, masks required, and customer service with a smile.

I love Safeways. Their weekly adds, their especially for u. The coupons and Friday specials. Plus the staff are really friendly. You walk out feeling like you got a good deal ..thats a good feeling these days...

They had what I went for and I got through the check out line relatively quickly. Cashier was personable and speedy.

The store its self is nice. Sometimes sale items dont ring up correctly. Not all the cashiers are friendly. You can tell they are having a bad day, or maybe thats the way they are.

Friendly fast service oh yea other stores such as dollar tree and hair cut barber just to name few.

Evening shopping trip meant fewer people in store. Sale items were not all in stock. Check out was quick with only a short wait.

This place is your neighborhood store! There always busy but the staff is always chill and willing to help.

The checker was wearing a mask but it was pulled down and her nose and mouth were both exposed! Also I came in for some pickling supplies and I got the hot peppers and the vinegar but nobody knew where any canning lids or supplies were which seems odd in canning season.

Had to wait 1/2 hour past my schedule appt for my flu shot. Another person who had a later appt was taken before me. Dont bother to fill out info online, they make you fill out the form all over again.

It’s a nice shop I got my vaccine here they have a good bakery selection and a Starbucks as well.

Im not gonna hate on the store youve got a Starbucks inside you got Chinese food inside you have a great bakery which I just purchased a cake that is completely surrounded with kit kats topped with M&Ms it was about a solid 26.3 pounds of chocolate on sale for 699.

This place is a mess and absolutely appalling. I have never seen a safeway that apparently does not take pride in there store. The people running this place should be fired. The only photo i took was of the bathroom cause i could not wait to get out of the store.

They have a really good meat department, but its kind of spendy so I only go when what I want is on sale.

I ordered a chicken bacon ranch wrap and the guy who was making it didnt know what he was doing didnt even wrap it like a wrap is supposed to be like. So frustrating

The store gets 5 stars but if I was to rate fellow patrons they get a 3. They were rude and didnt move to the side so u can get by and when asked they would grunt or huff. The story was clean and in good order and the workers were helpful.

Close and convenient for most West Salem dwellers. The produce is fresh and the stock is standard for a Safeway. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Plus they have a Starbucks inside for a quick pick-me-up while youre shopping. :)

The store was well stocked, and looked very nice. The employees were extremely friendly, and willing to help with anything they could. The one thing I couldnt find myself, the employee I asked looked extra hard and checked every avenue they could.

There Is Never Enough checkers. Always a long wait

I enjoy the fresh produce and meat dept but Safeway is getting rid of many name brands and replacing it with Safeway products which is fine but some products I just wont purchase generic because the quality isnt as good.

Still not enough checkers for a Saturday morning, but its well stocked and the staff are great.

The pharmacy is the absolute worst Ive ever been to. I switched to the Center St store even though I live a few blocks away from the Edgewater location. Also there are always mistakes and over charges, very difficult to keep track of the discounts . Always changing the prices. Safeway is a very dishonest grocery store. WINCO is far cheaper with consistent prices and shopping experience.

The store and employees were great but the girls bathroom had a bunch of urine of the floor. Id give the store 5 stars but I was pretty grossed out by the bathroom.

I feel I get items at a good price. Things are fresh in the veggies and fruits and in the bakery areas. It is usually a very clean store.

Usually well-stocked, although certain items on special always run out (please order more). Friendly, helpful employees that are knowledgeable about products carried and their location.Two complaints;1) People who shop on-line, then get their groceries loaded for them, are given close, desirable parking spots. They dont even have to leave their vehicle, so why do they get a park so close to the doors?! 2) Every single time I have been there, I have observed employees exiting through the entrance door and entering through the exit doors - also, each visit I see at least one employee walking the wrong direction against the arrows for the aisles. If those of us who are, fat, mobility impaired, lazy, and disabled are not allowed to use a closer door, then why are the employees who are paid to be on their feet and running orders out, etc?!Overall, a very nice store and good shopping experience.

Customer service is Always Great!!

I have never had a problem at this store until today. I was completely taken aback from the harassment from an older male employee. I did not get his name. I have strict instructions from my dr to not wear a mask. The man was wearing his mask under his nose and touched it twice during our interaction. I know the store accommodates w/ certain services but I was picking up a prescription. I told him I would finish my transaction, leave and never come back. He said he was glad for that. I refuse to carry the negativity of those trying to have power over others. Were all trying to get through these times. Compassion and understanding are greatly lacking.

Probably the most dirty Safeway I have ever seen. Long lines even though the signs say they will open another checkout guaranteed. Guaranteed or what?? Its just words they put up to make you or them feel better about you waiting 30 min to check out. After 31 min I left my entire cart and left. I watched while Employees just standing around told an elderly lady looking for a cart to go outside and look because they are to busy to find one for her. I went and found a cart for her after I left mine. I will never go here again. Also no sanitation of carts and out of hand sanitizer.

Some of the best deals on fresh meat and produce in Salem. Staff is friendly and the store is always neat. Its gets pretty busy after 4pm to about 7 or 8 but Ive always been in and out pretty fast. Great hot food selection as well as sushi made in house. Its my go to store for quick essentials, pharmaceutical needs, and generally anything food wise.

Totally dislike this store!! I go there for the convenient location and some items on five dollar Fridays. The complaints from some of the younger staff are annoying....I changed from their pharmacy...frequent mistakes blamed either on their computer system, my doctor or my total misunderstanding of the situation. Checkers are congenial, especially Joe. Greeters are grumpy and complaining, except for one...nice tall young man, James, I think is his name.

It has decent hours of opening, so you can find a store with average prices selling what you need in the evening. You do need a mask in these covid times, and there are separate entrance and exits. Reasonable.

Top quality produce and baked goods. Excellent customer service. The peppers that were on sale were fresh and flavorful.
