I love their buttered popcorn. The popcorn bars are a nice treat and come in different flavours like orange, chocolate, vanilla, molasses, and more. They also sell salt water taffy, hot peanuts and ice cream.

The best popcorn in the world, hands down. Their vintage popcorn makers were installed over a hundred years ago, so maybe its a case of they dont make em like they used to, and the result is seriously epic, addictive goodness. As others have pointed out, just check out the obese seagulls and squirrels hanging around nearby, eagerly waiting to swoop in and claim any spilled popcorn in the vicinity. XD

Best Candy-coated popcorn in the area. I crave it when Im away from MA for a while, and family members mailed me bags of the stuff while I was living in the Midwest. So glad to be back.The young men working the front counter today were helpful and patient.

E. W. Hobbs...one of my greatest childhood memories. The home of the worlds best popcorn, plus sweet popcorn bars, hot roasted peanuts, flavored popcorn, saltwater Taffy and ice cream...all homemade! Hobbs also owns the building that is perpendicular to them and, in the summer they serve really good hamburgers and hotdogs, etc. The building is beautiful, it looks like it might have had a carousel or roller rink a long time ago. All of the Hobbs staff are friendly, accommodating, polite and seem happy. Ive been going there for 50 years and havent had one bad experience!! Hobbs is an old school family business and is a rare treasure. I hope its here for at least 50 more years!!

Amazing. The popcorn was absolutely tasty as was the salt water taffy. Close to the ocean, was able to walk near the ocean and even played in the arcade on the boardwalk. Wonderful service. All around amazing.

They make the best popcorn that I have ever had, PLUS, they have excellent customer service. if something is wrong with your popcorn they will replace it for free (but that is a very rare occurrence because their stuff is so amazing youll never find anything wrong with it!). I literally have no idea what they do but they have some like 150-year-old popcorn machine that they use and its really cool to watch. they also have pretty good ice cream too! covid safe as well!!

By far this is the BEST popcorn I have ever had. I challenge you to order some for home and have a bite before you leave the order window and then see if you can get back home without taking a bite (eating half the box). Hobbs popcorn is AWESOME !!!

Great popcorn!

The popcorn was great. The burgers were just ok. The seating area inside an old carousel was neat but filled with smoke from the grill when we visited.

Popcorn is what my family comes here for believe it or not. We don’t bother with the boxes and go straight to buying the bags of batches that are made fresh constantly. Plus a tip for everyone is that you can actually freeze it, and eat it when you’re ready right out of the freezer. It’s amazing so try it! Hey, I should get some gratuity from this :-)

Ordering on line was a nitemareIt kept asking for shipping address even though I clicked on curbside pick up !I finally gave up after 5 trys. :(

If you are saying What is Hobbs? Then you need to get off you computer right now (if it is not winter, in that case stay at your house and stay warm because they are not open) and get down to the Willows to get some mouth watering popcorn that is prepared in the same machine they used over 100 years ago. Hobbs also offers delicious hand made on the premises (you can watch) salt water taffy, great ice cream (only $2 for a kiddie which is large enough for an adult) may I suggest the blueberry and great popcorn bars for cheap money. I honor the owner of Hobbs for always hiring the local teenagers who always seem to be enjoying their job. There is plenty of parking at the Willows and the Willows also provides a great place to walk around and eat your ice cream/popcorn and look out at the ocean.

The best taffy in the world!!! The popcorn is amazing and usually I end up buying a whole batch (humongous bag). Homemade ice cream that they have fun and different flavors. It is a must go to if in Salem!!!

Its a cozy quant lil mom and pops kinda place where the ice cream is homemade. It has basic flavors but its delicious.

Best popcorn. I bought some kernels and popped it at home. Just as good as at the store.

Bought one of the popcorn sticks and tasted like rubber! Such a disappointment as have grown up on this popcorn! Not sure if humidity is a factor, but if so need to figure out a way to change it or not sell them.
