Yum! I sampled all 3 vegan options today and had a hard time deciding. The mango was very refreshing and the matcha was light and not overpowering. I ended up going with the classic vanilla which had a good Vanuatu taste and not the undertones of the plant-based milk that others have. Glad to have found this place while stopping through and maybe I’ll be back for a pint!

Amazing to have vegan options that are nut free. My son hasnt been able to enjoy ice cream at shops for 2 years since having to go dairy free as many are made with cashew or almond milk. Having coconut and oat milk options were tasty and allowed my son to partake in a treat with family. The ice cream was all very good. Hard to decide on just 2 flavors for my cup. The dole whip was our favorite though, followed by blueberry lemon. Very tasty. Wish you guys were in AZ!

It was AMAZING! I got a large and it was the perfect amount of ice cream. And it was delicious. They are super creative, friendly, and their aesthetic is awesome.

Taste tested several flavors, it was hard to choose! The Ube is FANTASTIC. highly recommend!

Yummy soft serve at a hip modern food joint. Great addition to downtown Salem. You can add toppings and there is a small menu selection but I think they rotate out flavors! Definitely give it a try!!!

Awesome service, very helpful, two vegan flavors, most flavors are gluten free. They even have vegan whipped cream.I recommend the oreo freeze, similar to a milkshake but thick enough for a spoon. The waffle cones are excellent, the brownie sundae is the next vote.Excellent taste in music, 2000s hip hop. It was a lot of fun.

The caramel cookie, was super creamy and well presented. The waffle cone was delicious, I usually get ice cream in a cup because I’m not a huge cone person, but I’m glad I switched it up! Ps. If you are like me and pay little to no attention the ice cream is soft serve, it is not no baskin Robbins looking ice cream which I initially thought it was. Oops.

There are so many good reviews I’m inclined to believe that this soft serve is good. However, when I ordered a cup of strawberry I was a bit disappointed with the fact that it was icy and the strawberry flavor was both lacking and tasted artificial.I’ll probably return to try another flavor because I feel like it was just a bad day for the machine, but this really was a bit disappointing.

It is official. I found my new favorite ice cream shop! I sampled each flavor and couldnt decide what to get! Even the vegan was so gooooood. I went with a side by side of caramel cookie and dark chocolate. My boyfriend got the new slushie. Added ice cream. It was unbelievable! I will tell everyone I know about this place! Great customer service too. The whole food hall has great food, but Slick Licks is definitely the place to be

Great service, middle of the road soft-serve.My husband and I visited for the first time today for some post-bloodwork ice cream. The service was fast, our cashier was bubbly and attentive, and she also took the time to clarify dairy-free whip cream on a vegan order! My husband got a vegan chocolate Monster Cookie freeze and I got a Reeses Freeze. The vegan chocolate ice cream tasted more like chocolate flavored shave-ice and was far from creamy. The base for my Reeses freeze was stock standard vanilla ice-cream. The flavor text mentioned the sweet cream vanilla was made with real vanilla beans and I got excited! I love a good, fancy, flavorful vanilla. The vanilla base for my PB freeze was middle of the road vanilla and nothing to write home about.I love supporting small businesses and am so glad for the addition of Fork 40 Food Hall and all the wonderful local businesses that are now all under one roof. I love supporting all that Salem has to offer as she grows.With a slogan Like a Blizzard... But better! I had high hopes for the Slick Licks Freeze, but for the price point and the end product- a 16oz cup full of plain vanilla soft serve and a half cup of chopped PB cups, I think the bigger sell is not the ice cream but the Instagram-worthy purchase.

Very disappointing. I got the chocolate overload and it tasted like cigarettes. The whip cream tasted cheap and like water.

Dairy is not my friend but I still love ice cream. Do you know how hard it is to find good, dairy free ice cream? This place has two vegan flavors every week plus they have vegan whipped cream. The black cone is both gluten and dairy free. Everything Ive tried has been amazing!

Rotating flavors is a genius idea. It makes me want to come back every other week when the flavors change. The customization and fun menu changes make it a unique ice cream experience every time you go. The staff was very friendly and made our 5 year wedding anniversary very special.Unfortunately they were not serving the cones when I went (but that does not shake my 5 star review). I do look forward to going back when they have cones :)

I dont typically write reviews, but with Slick Licks I just had to! We have gone here many times since they opened. We were not sure what a food hall was, but soon found out it is amazing! It is 6 restaurants and 1 bar all inside one building. We ate dinner at Chubby Panda and made our way for ice cream.The cool part about this little ice cream shop is that it looks like soft serve, has the texture of soft serve, but it is ice cream! They make it from scratch right there in front of you. The young lady told us they do it in really small batches so the ice cream is fresh all day. I mean come on.The ice cream is definitely mind blowing and we dream about it, but I want to touch on the amazing, authentic and genuine customer service (I am shocked at the previous review on here, but like most I am sure they didnt even contact the business to get the situation dealt with because I know the staff is so kind and goes above and beyond). So like I said we have been many times and keep coming back. The staff has always been so sweet to us. Make us feel like they care we are there, not fake and annoyed. I assume we have ordered from every employee since we havent met a new one yet, and each one has gone above and beyond to get us samples and help us decide on a flavor. They do their best to sanitize and change gloves which we appreciated so much. Such hard times right now.In a nutshell, Slick Licks is so refreshing to have in Salem. They are a small business and employ people who need jobs. They give true customer service and have the best ice cream in town hands down. Oh AND they said they change flavors every two weeks! That is crazy town! My husband is vegan and always has a vegan option that never even tastes vegan! We love you Slick Licks and thank you for opening in Salem!

Delicious vegan ice cream options!

On the 19th, I walked in on a busy night and the girl with the purple hair acknowledged us and said it’d be a minute. However, the short brunette at the register did not pay us any attention for the first 5 minutes that we were standing there, then once she eventually was topping our ice creams, I noticed her holding two ice cream filled cups while trying to open a container at the same time. I saw the container she was holding press into my ice cream and leave an indent in it. I thought this was very gross and unsanitary, aside from her poor customer service, she didn’t pay any attention to the sanitation of her workspace which was disgusting. the ice cream was fine.

I am a notably froyo junkie! I will have soft serve for lunch or dinner, if given the chance! So I was excited to try Slick Licks! I tried their Blueberry Lemon flavor and it was to die for! It has such a clean fresh blueberry taste with that nice zing of lemon!! (There was no artificial taste that can leave a funky taste in your mouth!) there are so many interesting flavors to explore... I will be back for lunch/dinner soon!

This place is so good! Finally a legit vegan ice cream spot in Salem. Yummy toppings and soft serve (the pineapple is out of this world good) and great service too. The people working were super friendly and helpful with suggestions on what toppings go with each flavors and making sure to offer free tastes before picking. I can’t wait to go back and try a new combination!

Slick licks is beyond amazing, they regularly rotate their flavors and have a very fun fresh vibe. The dustings and toppings take it to another level. 10/10 on flavor and all other categories, if you haven’t been, you’re missing out. 💙

I love this place! This is not your ordinary soft serve, it’s unique and delicious! Just try to eat it slowly, it won’t work.

Vegan soft serve is brilliant. The chocolate with peanut butter hard shell is killer.
