After reading these negative reviews I am in shock. Accusations of racism and him yelling are COMPLETELY FALSE!!...... I called Al on a whim because I am looking to get some bar risers installed and we worked out a time to come in since I was riding up from Cambridge. He’s super knowledgeable about motorcycles, respectful and can defiantly take on any project you throw at him. will 100% be returning to him for any and all custom work I do on my bike in the future.

Its been a pleasure taking my bike to Canal Street Cycles. Theyve been easy to work with, responsive, and fast working. Also, twice now I have been in the area and in need of a quick bolt tightening or something similar, and Ive dropped in unanounced and they have dropped everything to help, no charge.Reading some of the negative reviews, it almost feels like some of these reviewers are taking about another shop.I cannot recommend them enough. I am happy to spend my money at Canal Street Cycles.

Very friendly and professional, over the phone and in person. Price was fair and they were able to work on my motorcycle the same day.The review from that person that called them racist is complete non sense! Al and Erick were very nice to deal with and it was really nice that they went above and beyond to show me what was wrong with my bike by giving me a tour around their shop and showing the parts they replaced etc. I’ll definitively be back 👍

Born and raised in Salem and everyone knows I dont bs, so I when say this guy Al is a lying pos, its a fact.1. Al lied about electronics he installed not having a warranty, FYI Ricks has a 1 year replacement warranty and good peope to work with.2. Al had to lie about the warranty because he lied about the electronics working with a regular battery when Ricks website states it does not, only lithium.3. This was after I picked up my lithium battery from Al after it fried the electronics and told him I was returning it for a regular battery I brought to him and he installed with electronics that dont work with a regular battery!4. The bike ran for 30 minutes after I picked it up and had it towed back to him where it sat for almost a month without one phone call and evertime I called he had excuses.Hows that for the truth!

The guy is solid and he doesnt bullshit you, just dont be a jackass and youre set. In my experience, he decides on prices after your repair/service is completed, but hes always done solid work for me and is fair.

In this business they have no responsibility, they are badly spoken and also racist.He also likes to fault motorcycles so he has to spend money on his motorcycle. nothing funny.

I called asking how much it would cost to change a tire. Pretty simple, I have a new tire that I want them to install on my wheel. I was told he was to busy to answer my question and hung up on me.These places forget Im doing them a favor by giving them my business. I only need their service because I dont want to buy the tools necessary to do these jobs.
