They will actually fix your boat issues, they have a well trained staff that knows their stuff!!
Recoil starter spring broke on my old Honda outboard. Tried to fix myself- guy at the front desk had the touch. Took less than a day. Strawberry here we come !
Stop, do not take your boat to Pinnacle Marine! I’m helping my parents with this review; they have been taking their boat to this shop for a couple years and continually had extremely expensive repair bills but the same issues with their inboard Merc motor were reoccurring. They then took their boat to another mechanic who told them that Richard (owner) at Pinnacle Marine had not been replacing the worn parts my parents were billed for, multiple times! Instead Richard was trying to reuse them. He scammed them multiple times for the same problem getting paid for different parts but not changing them! What a creature he is. Since going to the new mechanic, they got their engine repaired in good working order and have been very satisfied. The boat feels way more powerful – which is really telling about how they were being scammed by the other shop. I am just leaving this to try to save other folks from being parasitized by Pinnacle. Besides the money they lost to PM they lost a lot of their time and we have not been able to enjoy the boat. I rarely leave reviews but I am borderline angry as this place as it is a scam operation and I feel terrible for all those who have unwittingly left their beloved boats in the PM yard.
Ive been taking the same boat here for 14 years. Despite it being such an old craft, theyve been keeping it running smoothly for a very small expense. Turn around times have always been exceptional and beyond reasonable. I appreciate their no-nonsense approach to getting things done.
Terribly unprofessional place. Lie about commitments and have the worst customer service. Avoid this place
We use them every fall and spring and they are great! Fast service, friendly and go the extra mile
Awesome knowledge guys there. They give you great advise and they have rare parts no one else does!! Definitely my go to place for my boat forever!!!
I bought a new boat from Jeff at Pinnacle Marine this summer. He did a good job of answering my questions, but without pressure sales tactics. I got the boat I wanted, at a fair price, and they installed the few extras I purchased as well. The boat was clean and ready to take straight to the water. He did a courtesy follow-up a week or so later. Its not a fancy showroom, just a locally owned place that provides good value.
I have used Pinnacle Marine ever since they started their business. I trust them completely, which is very important since we are not mechanical at all. They are friendly, helpful and experienced. Their service is excellent. Ill be using them for as long as we own our boat.
I have a 1995 Bayliner 2855 and it had a small leak coming in through the transom. Took it to Pinnacle Marine and they said it was the gimbal ring which was going bad. I had them replace it which meant they had to pull the engine and outdrive from the boat. While they had everything out they also replaced a few other warn parts. Jim, Richard, Robert and Chris were a pleasure to work with. They did an awesome professional repair at a fair price. Very honest and straight forward. They also do winterizations which I had them do last year and will take it back to them end of this season. I would recommend them for all your boating services and repairs.
We bought our boat at the boat show.We had a couple problems with our boat that could only be fixed by the factory. Jeff and Richard had the factory technicians come to their shop from back East. They took care of everything and we didnt miss any water time.We are appreciative of their effort and knowledge. Keep up the good work.We will recommend you to our friends and family.
I took my 04 Rinker 232 in to these guys off of the high reviews. Knowing the motor had to be pulled, (among other issues), to replace engine coupler. I had little to no hope of getting it back for a trip the next week for labor day. Richard and crew not only pulled it off in time to save the trip but did an excellent job as well! Very enjoyable to work with, definitely recommend!!
Our purchase experience was so painless; all the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. I know we got the best value for our money and the right boat for our family. If you are in the market for a pontoon, these guys know their stuff !! Tobin and Pattie
Killer boat guys! Fair prices and good quality
Outstanding. Being in the Customer Service industry I am hyper-critical of all experiences between a customer and company. These guys exceeded all my expectations! I purchased a used boat from them that was being sold on consignment from a third-party seller. They went out of their way to call out small things that would enhance the boat as I continue to use long term and even proactively improved small areas that I didnt even notice. Jeff and Richard even gave me their cell numbers in case I run into any challenges or questions and offered to meet me off hours based on my location. Great guys and I will use them for all my boating needs!!
I used Pinnacle for a few years to work on and repair my 2003 Sea Ray. Have since sold that boat. However, I was always really happy with their work. I have recommended them to friends who have also been happy with their work. They have many years of experience. Would strongly recommend them.
Jim and Jeff were wonderful to work with! I appreciated their time and thorough explanations of how their pontoon boats differed from other manufacturers. They did not bad mouth other manufacturers, only pointed out the differences. Their Trifecta Tritoons definitely trump all the competition. I took it out today for the first time and it ran awesome. They are very knowledgeable about boating, fishing set-ups, and motors. Go Honda!! Do not hesitate to buy a boat from Pinnacle Marine Service.
If I could give them zero stars I would. They had our boat for 2 years. When they finally got it done it was very poor quality repairs and unprofessional work. Nuts and bolts left inside motor area. Wires hanging down where they can be seen and not hooked to anything. Curtain tabs broke. Woodwork wasnt refurbished properly. REALLY REALLY BAD WORK
Great service. Richard is honest and really cares about your boating experience.
Excellent service! The one who sold us the boat, Jeff, clearly knew his stuff. He was very informative with the information on the Dos and Donts, as well as maintaining the boat. Great guy. Definitely recommend!
I brought my outboard in expecting a very expensive repair. Turns out it was a $12 part. Thank you for your honesty. I would highly recommend Pinnacle Marine.
If you need an honest job done, then talk to Richard, at Pinnacle marine, in Salt lake city. He gave me a quote, and it was less then what he quoted me. Then I had problems with my trailer, and he helped me out big time, with that all so, at a very reasonable price. Thanks again Richard I appreciate Pinnacle Marines honesty.
I love their parts and service here. They do great work at a reasonable price.
Fast, Friendly, and great customer service!! Brought in my 1985 Honda outboard, had it serviced and tuned. Pinnacle marina you did awesome job, thanks guys!
Great people I ordered an impeller and they let me know when it arrived. I had a difficult removing the old one I called down 20 minutes after closing and they answered and gave me a few tips on how to get the old one out. Boat was at the lake.
Save yourself the headache! When we got our boat back all the tires were low. When we pointed it out they pointed to air hose for us to do it ourselves after WE PAID THEM! Laziest service tech Ive seen. And thats not all! the inside was completely trashed! Cushions thrown everywhere and wire pieces all over the carpet from them installing a spot light. And instead of covering our boat back up, they left it open and cats and who knows what else left a nice mess of hair everywhere.Again, save yourself the headache!
Had my boats serviced here for years, never disappointed.
The worst service....asked them to go through a 25hp outboard so it would be ready. got it back and it wouldnt turn over.. they never fixed it they never even checked the oil. the motor would die at trolling speed. took it back 3 times. the last time the guy said its my starter thats making the fuse blow.$500 liar and a scam.. I took it to Arock prop and found that they put wrong gasket when they rebuilt the carb.. witch they didnt have to do.. now it doesnt die when trolling and they changed the oil and changed the choke cylanoid is stead of the starter...all of this done by the next day for around $200...pinnacle charged me $400 and did not fix anything.. NEVER USE THIS PLACE
Have been going here for 30 years. Richard has fixed what another shop messed up so I dont trust any one else.. bought our boat there when they had searays. Still have the same boat. What ever I need put on it or to it Richard takes care of it .
I would never use this shop for boat repair! If I could give a negative number I would. On labor day 2015 our 2005 Sea Ray broke and we took it to Pinnacle for repair. We are not boat mechanics so we did not know what was wrong with the boat. After multiple excuses the boat was not returned to us until the later part of October deemed fixed to the tune of 1500.00. As it was getting close to winter we told Richard (owner) that the boat was going directly to storage and what if when we pulled it out in spring it didnt work properly. He said bring it back, implying they warrantied their work. When we pulled it out of storage 2016 and took it on its first voyage the boat did not work properly and we had to take it back. They had our boat for almost 9 weeks and with multiple excuses gave us all sorts of reasons they were not getting to it. At one point I asked Richard why our boat was returned deemed fixed when in fact it was not. His response I do not have a crystal ball. To which I replied arent you the boat mechanic? I do not expect my car to go in to a mechanic and be returned half fixed! They dismantled our boat to a point which it was in pieces parts and then stated we needed a whole new motor. The engine was a Merc with only a few hundred hours on it!! No longer having faith in their ability we picked up the boat in pieces parts. Pinnacle had the gal to charge us another almost 500.00 for their work. We took it to another boat repair whose mechanics said theyd never seen a boat so completely stripped down (unprofessionally so) and that it would be impossible for them to put back together without great cost and they could not guarantee it would work. It was decided it would be less expensive to get a new motor. Then when the new shop went to put the boat back together, numerous pieces where missing from the engine compartment. My husband called Pinnacle for which they claimed not to have them. Hmm they were there when we brought the boat to Pinnacle. I disputed the charge on my card as we had to have custom pieces made to replace the missing pieces however Pinnacle claims they acted properly. Do not use these guys!!!!! You will regret it.
Richard is knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, great shop to do business with.
Great people, purchased a new boat
They took care of me on short notice, fixed what the mobile mechanic didnt.very satisfied with their help.
Nice people and very knowledgeableThanks
The worst!! We spent almost 3000 to still not have a working boat. The owner is rude and unprofessional. I do not recomend them to anyone!
Good guys!
